입력 위상 잡음 억제 및 체배 주파수의 듀티 사이클 보정을 위한 VCO/VCDL 혼용 기반의 다중위상 동기회로 (A Multiphase DLL Based on a Mixed VCO/VCDL for Input Phase Noise Suppression and Duty-Cycle Correction of Multiple Frequencies)

  • 본 논문은 입력 클록의 고주파 위상 잡음 억제와 정확한 듀티 사이클을 갖는 체배 주파수 생성을 위하여 Voltage-Controlled Oscillator(VCO)/Voltage-Controlled Delay Line(VCDL) 혼용기반의 다중 위상 Delay-Locked Loop(DLL)를 제시한다. 이 제안된 구조에서, 다중 위상 DLL은 혼용 VCO/VCDL의 입력 단에 nMOS 소스 결합 회로 기반의 이중 입력 차동 버퍼를 사용한다. 이것은 고주파 입력 위상 잡음 억제를 위하여 전 대역 통과 필터 특성을 갖는 기존 DLL의 입/출력 위상 전달을 저주파 통과 필터 특성을 갖는 PLL의 입/출력 위상 전달로 쉽게 변환시킬 수 있다. 또한, 제안된 DLL은 추가적인 보정 제어 루프 없이 단지 듀티 사이클 보정 회로와 위상 추적 루프를 이용하여 체배 주파수의 듀티 사이클 에러를 보정할 수 있다. $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정을 이용한 시뮬레이션 결과에서, 제안된 DLL의 출력 위상 잡음은 800MHz의 입력 위상 잡음을 갖는 1GHz 입력 클록에 대하여 -13dB 이하로 개선된다. 또한, 40%~60%의 듀티 사이클 에러를 갖는 1GHz 동작 주파수에서, 체배 주파수의 듀티 사이클 에러는 2GHz 체배 주파수에서 $50{\pm}1%$이하로 보정된다.

Acoustic Noise Reduction and Power Factor Correction in Switched Reluctance Motor Drives

  • In this paper, a four-phase 8/6-pole 4-kW SR motor drive model is presented. Based on experimental data, the model allows an accurate simulation of a drive in dynamic operation. Simulations are performed and a laboratory type set-up is built based on a TI TMS320F2812 platform to experimentally verify the theoretical results obtained for a SR motor. To reduce acoustic noise and to correct the power factor of this drive, a two-stage power converter is proposed that uses a current source rectifier (CSR) as the input stage for the asymmetrical converter of the studied SRM. Employing the space-vector modulation (SVM) method in matrix converters, the CSR switching allows the dc link's capacitors to be eliminated and the power factor of the SRM drive to be improved. As the electrical motive force (emf) is directly proportional to the rotor speed, the input voltage to the machine can be programmed to be a function of the speed with the modulation index of the CSR, leading to a reduction in the acoustic noise of the SRM drive. Simulation of the whole SRM drive system is performed using MATLAB-Simulink. The results fully comply with the required conditions such as power factor correction with an improvement in the THD.

국토해양부 NDGPS 정확도 향상을 위한 의사거리 보정치의 이상점 및 노이즈 제거기법 개발 (Development of Removal Techniques for PRC Outlier & Noise to Improve NDGPS Accuracy)

  • DGPS(Differential Global Positioning System) 측위에 보정정보로 사용되는 의사거리 보정치(PRC, Pseudo Range Correction)에는 불규칙적으로 이상점, 노이즈, 이상현상이 발생한다. 이러한 의사거리 보정치를 보정정보로 사용한 DGPS 측위의 경우 측위 오차는 증가하게 된다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 발생되는 의사거리 보정치의 이상점, 노이즈, 이상현상을 다항식 곡선 접합을 적용한 모델링을 통해 검출 및 보정하는 기법을 제안하였다. 또한 의사거리 보정치 모델의 검증을 위해 보정 전 후의 의사거리 보정치를 DGPS 측위에 사용하여 측위오차를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 이상점, 노이즈, 이상현상이 발생하는 의사거리 보정치를 사용한 측위의 RMS 오차는 수평방향으로 3.84m로 나타났고, 보정된 의사거리 보정치를 사용한 측위에서는 RMS 오차가 수평방향으로 1.49m로 나타나서 측위 정확도가 향상되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • A GPS sensor is widely used in many areas such as navigation, or air traffic control. Particularly, the car navigation system is equipped with GPS sensor for locational information. However, when a car goes through a tunnel, forest, or built-up area, GPS receiver cannot get the enough number of satellite signals. In these situations, a GPS receiver does not reliably work. A GPS error can be formulated by sum of bias error and sensor noise. The bias error is generated by the geometric arrangement of satellites and sensor noise error is generated by the corrupted signal noise of receiver. To enhance GPS sensor accuracy, these two kinds of errors have to be removed. In this research, we make the road database which includes Road Database File (RDF). RDF includes road information such as road connection, road condition, coordinates of roads, lanes, and stop lines. Among the information, we use the stop line coordinates as a feature point to correct the GPS bias error. If the relative distance and angle of a stop line from a car are detected and the detected stop line can be associated with one of the stop lines in the database, we can measure the bias error and correct the car's location. To remove the other GPS error, sensor noise, the Kalman filter algorithm is used. Additionally, using the RDF, we can get the information of the road where the car belongs. It can be used to help the GPS correction algorithm or to give useful information to users.

약한 충격파의 반사와 방출에 관한 개구단 보정 (Open End Correction for the Reflection and Discharge of Weak Shock Wave)

  • The present study addresses the open end correction associated with the reflection and discharge phenomena of a weak shock wave from an open end of a duct. The open end correction of the weak shock wave is investigated experimentally and by numerical computation. An experiment is made using a simple shock tube with an open end, and computation is performed to simulate the experimental flow field using the unsteady, axisymmetric, compressible, flow governing equations. The results obtained show that an open end correction should be involved for shock wave discharge and reflection problems generated from the exit of the duct with an open end baffle plate. With a baffle plate less than three times the duct diameter, it is found that the open end correction is a function of both the diameter of the baffle plate and normal shock wave magnitude. However, for a baffle plate larger than three times the duct diameter, it is independent of the baffle plate diameter. The present computations predict the results of shock tube experiment with good accuracy. A new empirical equation for prediction of the open end correction is found for the weak shock reflection and discharge phenomena occurring at the open end of the duct with and without a baffle plate.

Absolute Atmospheric Correction Procedure for the EO-1 Hyperion Data Using MODTRAN Code

  • Atmospheric correction is one of critical procedures to extract quantitative information related to biophysical variables from hyperspectral imagery. Most atmospheric correction algorithms developed for hyperspectral data have been based upon atmospheric radiative transfer (RT) codes, such as MODTRAN. Because of the difficulty in acquisition of atmospheric data at the time of image capture, the complexity of RT model, and large volume of hyperspectral data, atmospheric correction can be very difficult and time-consuming processing. In this study, we attempted to develop an efficient method for the atmospheric correction of EO-1 Hyperion data. This method uses the pre-calculated look-up-table (LUT) for fast and simple processing. The pre-calculated LUT was generated by successive running of MODTRAN model with several input parameters related to solar and sensor geometry, radiometric specification of sensor, and atmospheric condition. Atmospheric water vapour contents image was generated directly from a few absorption bands of Hyperion data themselves and used one of input parameters. This new atmospheric correction method was tested on the Hyperion data acquired on June 3, 2001 over Seoul area. Reflectance spectra of several known targets corresponded with the typical pattern of spectral reflectance on the atmospherically corrected Hyperion image, although further improvement to reduce sensor noise is necessary.

  • 인간의 눈은 넓은 영역의 빛의 밝기를 받아들이기 위해 log 응답 특성을 갖는 반면 이미지 센서는 제한된 dynamic range를 갖는다. 선형 ADC(analog-to-digital converter)를 적용한 일반적인 CMOS 이미지 센서는 이미지의 어두운 부분을 확실하게 나타나게 하기 위하여 이득을 높이며 일부 밝은 부분의 포화 현상을 막을 수는 없다. 감마 보정은 인간의 눈의 반응에 맞추는 본질적인 방법이다. 그러나 디지털 감마 보정은 ADC 해상도와 센서 자체의 dynamic range의 한계 때문에 이미지의 질을 떨어뜨린다. 본 논문은 아날로그 감마 보정을 수행하는 비선형 ADC를 사용한 CMOS 이미지 센서를 제안한다. 제안된 비선형 ADC를 적용한 CMOS 이미지 센서는 $0.35{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정을 이용하였다. 제안된 비선형 ADC CIS를 적용한 아날로그 감마 보정이 기존의 디지털 감마 보정 방법에 비해 질적으로 향상된 이미지를 보였는데 수치적으로 200mV 미만 픽셀 출력으로 이루어진 저조도 이미지에서의 peak-signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR)는 제안된 아날로그 감마 보정이 27.8dB, 디지털 감마 보정이 25.6dB로 측정되어 아날로그 감마 보정이 디지털 감마 보정에 비해 저조도 양자화 잡음을 $28.8\%$ 개선되었음을 확인하였다.

  • Floor impact noise isolation performance of reinforced concrete floors was investigated through new measurement method using impact bail. Strong impact force in Bow frequency band below 63 Hz of bang machine is not similar to human impact source and causes some problem in evaluating heavy-weight Impact noise but heavy-weight impact noise measurement and evaluation using impact ball which is very similar to human impact is more reliable than bang machine. Correction value on the background noise and sensitivity of residents should be considered on the floor impact noise evaluation classes.

  • Precise highway traffic noise simulation and reduction require the accurate data for sound power levels omitted by vehicles, varied to road surface, traffic speed, vehicle types and makers, different from countries to countries. In this study, we have elaboratively measured Korea highway traffic noise and parameters affecting noise levels at the nearside carriageway edge. From numerical simulation using the measured results for highway traffic noise, we propose not only two correction factors to enhance the accuracy of Korea highway traffic sound power estimation using ASJ Model-1998 but also its typical power spectrum according to road surface type. The measured and predicted highway traffic noise levels using the proposed sound power show little difference within 1 dB.
