Time-History Analysis on Structure Dynamic Response for the SDOF System of Ground Vibration by the Newmark $\beta$ method (Newmark $\beta$ 방법에 의한 지반진동의 단자유도계 구조물 동적응답 시간이력 해석)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate an effect of ground vibration caused by blasting on the concrete brick structure. For the purpose, dynamic response time-history of the structure assumed single degree of freedom (SDOF) system and vibration time-history directly measured from the structure were examined, using Newmark $\beta$ method based on data measured at ground. The time-history was interpreted from the measured data of ground and structure in single hole blasting. Vibration magnitude between ground vibration and structure in single hole blasting and 20 ms interval blasting was about three times and was shown larger vibration on the structure. By time-history analysis of structure dynamic response, the value was almost the same one with the data measured from the structure. It indicates that the vibration characteristics of structures may be predicted on the basis of the ground vibration data measured from the sub-ground of structure.

  • This paper describes transient responses of a very floating structure subjected to dynamic load induced by waves. A time domain method is applied to the hydroelastic problems for this purpose. The method is based on source-dipole and FEM scheme and on Newmark $\beta$ method to pursuit time step process taking advantage of memory effect. The present procedure is carried out to analyze hydroelastic responses in regular waves and impact responses due to dropping aircraft.

Analysis of low-velocity impact on composite sandwich panels using an assumed strain solid element (가정변형률 솔리드 요소를 이용한 복합재 샌드위치 평판의 저속충격 해석)

  • Low-velocity impact on composite sandwich panel has been investigated. Contact force is computed from a proposed modified Hertzian contact law. The Hertzian contact law is constructed by adjusting numerical value of the exponent and reducing the through-the- thickness elastic constant of honeycomb core. The equivalent transverse elastic constant is calculated from the rule of mixture. Nonlinear equation to calculate the contact force is solved by the Newton-Raphson method and time integration is done by the Newmark-beta method. A finite element program for the low-velocity impact analysis is coded by implementing these techniques and an 18-node assumed strain solid element. Behaviors of composite sandwich panels subjected to low-velocity impact are analyzed for various cases with different geometry and lay-ups. It has been found that the present code with the proposed contact law can predict measured contact forces and contact times for most cases within reasonable error bounds.

  • 본 연구에서는 이동최소제곱 차분법을 2차원 동적고체문제를 해석하기 위하여 확장시켰으며 Newmark ${\beta}$ 방법을 통해 explicit와 implicit 시간적분법을 모두 적용하여 그 차이를 비교하였다. 이동최소제곱 차분법은 Taylor 다항식을 이용하여 미분계산을 근사화 함으로써 내부 및 경계에서도 강형식을 그대로 이용할 수 있다. 그래서 계산이 빠르고 수치적분이 필요하지 않아 무요소법의 장점을 잘 살릴 수 있고 해석차수를 손쉽게 조정할 수 있어 cubic 등의 고차 근사계산이 간편하다. 두 가지 수치예제를 통하여 동적해석에 대한 이동최소제곱 차분법의 적용성과 안정성을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 교량의 자유진동 모드의 중첩원리를 이용하여 KTX-교량의 동적상호작용 해석법을 제시한다. 이를 위하여 모드중첩법에 기초한 3차원 교량-차량의 에너지 식으로부터 에너지원리를 적용하여 교량과 차량의 상호작용을 고려할 수 있는 운동방정식을 유도한다. 이때 운동방정식의 해는 Newmark-${\beta}$ 방법을 사용한다. 그리고 궤도의 불규칙성은 FRA의 6등급 분류규정을 고려하여 각 등급별로 고속철도의 열차속도에 따르는 응답을 분석한다. 실제 고속철도에 사용되는 PSC 박스형 교량을 상용프로그램(MIDAS)를 이용하여 모델링하고 그로부터 각 모드별 형상을 얻어내어 본 논문에서 개발한 열차-교량 상호작용 프로그램에 입력하여 상호작용 해석을 수행한다.

  • The simplified model for 3-dimensional analysis of vehicle-bridge interactions is presented in this study. By using the analysis model which includes the eccentricity of axle loads and the effect of the torsional forces acting on the bridge, the more accurate analysis results of the behavior of the bridge can be obtained. The equations of kinetic energy, potential energy and damping energy are expressed by degrees of freedom of the vehicle and the bridge. And then by applying Lagrange's equations of motion, the equations of motion of the vehicle and the bridge are obtained. By deriving the equations of forces acting on the bridge considering the vehicle-bridge vertical interactions and also by identifying the position of vehicle as time goes by, mass matrix, stiffness matrix, damping matrix and load vector of vehicle-bridge system are constructed in accordance with the position of vehicles. Then using Newmark's β-method(average acceleration), the equations of motion for the total vehicle bridge system are solved.

  • This paper presents the results of the numerical analysis on the behavior of cable-stayed bridge considering geometric nonlinearity of cables. Finite element method is used and geometric nonlinearities are considered on the analysis of cable-stayed bridge. The governing equilibrium equations are derived by the principle of virtual work, and modified Newton-Raphson method and Newmark-${\beta}$ method are employed in response calculations. The validity of this study is demonstrated by comparing the examples with analytical results by other method and testing results.

  • This paper presents the results of the numerical analysis on the behaviour of mooring system of offshore guyed tower. Finite element method is used and geometric nonlinearities are considered in the analysis of mooring line. The governing equilibrium equations are derived by the principle of virtual work, and modified Newton-Raphson method and Newmark-${\beta}$ method are employed in response calculations. The drag and inertia effects of fluid are included using a Morrison type equation. The influences of changing typical parameters like initial inclination and tension of line at the guy attachment point, the length of clump weight, its unit weight and the anchor line length are examined. The effects of idealising the clump weight as a point load(lumped clump weight) on the behaviour of mooring lines are also discussed. Numerical examples demonstrate the validity and capability of the mathematical formulation.

  • When ship claps against the ocean structure sited at shallow water, the time simulation of motion responses of dolphin-moored ocean structure is presented. The equatien of motion based on Cummin's theory of impulse responses are employed, and solved in time domain by using the Newmark $\beta$ method. The added mass and damping coefficients involved in the equations are obtained from a three-dimensional panel method in the frequency domain. The impact forces due to ship collision are modeled as two method, and those are elastic and non-elastic collisions. The mooring forces for dolphin systems of scean structure are considered as linear spring system.
