The purpose of this study was to suggest a new detection method for early diagnosing diabetic neuropathic foot by obtaining a ratio of toe to figer blood flow using photoplethysmography(PPG). Nerve conduction velocity (NCV) has been routinely used for diagnosing neuropathic foot, but it applies strong electric stimulus to peripheries resulting in stress and pain. The blood flow ratio of diabetic neuropathy(0.96${\pm}$0.20) was significantly higher in comoarison to normal control group(0.46${\pm}$0.15, left : p<0.05, right : p<0.05) and non-neuropathy diabetic group(0.49${\pm}$0.21, left: p<0.05. right: p<0.05).

This paper proposes an automatic liver segmentation method using improved partial histogram threshold (PHT) algorithms. This method removes neighboring abdominal organs regardless of random pixel variation of contrast enhanced CT images. Adaptive multi-modal threshold is first performed to extract a region of interest (ROI). A left PHT (LPHT) algorithm is processed to remove the pancreas, spleen, and left kidney. Then a right PHT (RPHT) algorithm is performed for eliminating the right kidney from the ROI. Finally, binary morphological filtering is processed for removing of unnecessary objects and smoothing of the ROI boundary. Ten CT slices of six patients (60 slices) were selected to evaluate the proposed method. As evaluation measures, an average normalized area and area error rate were used. From the experimental results, the proposed automatic liver segmentation method has strong similarity performance as the MSM by medical Doctor.

Purpose： For quantitative analysis of the cardiac diseases, it is necessary to segment the left-ventricle(LV) in MR cardiac images. Snake or active contour model has been used to segment LV boundary. In using these models, however, the contour of the LV may not converge to the desirable one because the contour may fall into local minimum value due to image artifact in inner region of the LV Therefore, in this paper, we propose the new preprocessing method using K-means clustering and merging algorithms that can improve the performance of the active contour model.

사물인터넷 기술을 이용한 서비스 형태는 셀 수 없이 많으며, 현재도 여러 기관에서 다양한 서비스를 제공하기 위해 새로운 기술이나 프로토콜을 만들어 내고 있다. 본 논문은 사물인터넷 서비스 접근제어를 위한 시스템에서 효율적인 서비스 제공을 위한 리소스 서비스 모델을 설계하고 구현한다. 사용자가 접근하고자 하는 리소스 서비스를 LCRS(Left Child-Right Sibling) 트리를 이용하여 모델링하고, 리소스 서비스 토큰을 이용하여 서비스에 대한 접근 제어를 수행할 수 있다.

Two diogenid hermit crab species, Dardanus lagopodes and Diogenes deflectomanus, are newly reported from Korea. Dardanus lagopodes is distinguished from the other species of genus Dardanus in Korea by having setae with cream-colored tips on the cephalothorax and the following characteristics: ocular peduncles somewhat longer than antennular peduncles, and the pereopod without a longitudinal sulcus and scute-like projections. Diogenes deflectomanus is similar to D. nitidimanus but can be distinguished by having the fixed finger of the left cheliped bent slightly downwardly and the following characteristics: slightly shorter ocular peduncle, elongated left cheliped with small granules on the surface, right cheliped without calcareous teeth on the cutting edge of the dactylus, and the minute spine of post-median margin of the telson is not well developed. The geographical distributions of these two species are extended by the present study. In particular, D. deflectomanus in the current study is the first report outside Chinese waters. Now, 20 species of the family Diogenidae are known in Korean waters.

Let R be a ring, ($S,{\leq}$) a strictly ordered monoid, and ${\omega}:S{\rightarrow}End(R)$ a monoid homomorphism. In [18], Mazurek, and Ziembowski investigated when the skew generalized power series ring $R[[S,{\omega}]]$ is a domain satisfying the ascending chain condition on principal left (resp. right) ideals. Following [18], we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions on R, S and ${\omega}$ such that the skew generalized power series ring $R[[S,{\omega}]]$ is a right or left Archimedean domain. As particular cases of our general results we obtain new theorems on the ring of arithmetical functions and the ring of generalized power series. Our results extend and unify many existing results.

The paper describes a new instrument for early detection of Alzheimer's disease. A new instrument for early detection of Alzheimer's disease is constructed on both the questionnaire for the investigation of living environment, and the lists for the functional tests of the sense, the physiology, and the left and right brains. When the medical doctor has made a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, the demented patient does not recover the indication adding available treatments. Then, the indication of a patient only takes a turn for the worse. For the demented patient can be kept his/her life style, Alzheimer's disease can make an early detection using a new instrument before a diagnosis of the dementia. And the indication of a demented patient can be delayed by the available medical treatments.

The family Triphoridae Gray, 1847 is a group of marine microgastropods characterized by sinistral (left-coiled) shells except for the subfamily Metaciinae, which has dextral shell coiling. We report a new record of Mastonia rubra (Hinds, 1843) collected from the intertidal zone from Jeju Island, Korea and revise species list for Korean Triphoridae species. Mastonia rubra is distinguished from Inforis fusiformis(Kosuge, 1961) by the purple color of the first and second whorls of the teleoconch, whereas they are light colored and nearly white corresponding whorls in I. fusiformis. Including this new record, the Korean Triphoridae comprises 20 species from 15 genera.

During the year and a half of preparation for the Untnmed Ri Expedition (Caves $ Caving 29 p. 29) a lot of time was devoted developing the techniques we would use to explore the roaring wh waters of Nare. We finally left for New Britain with a whole new set caving rules and hardware which would not be out of place in an Indi Jones movie. The first serious work to tackle this new problem in caving wa pioneered by the French in 1978 after the discovery of the Nare. M and Kavakuna - all big river caves with flows of 15-20 cumes. We tir out these techniques on the white water rivers of north Wales. ma some improvements and tested some new ideas. This articles is a summary of our research and experience.

The contents of a new book currently in preparation are described. The dearth of books in the field of nuclear materials has left both students in nuclear materials classes and professionals in the same field without a resource for the broad fundamentals of this important sub-discipline of nuclear engineering. The new book is devoted entirely to materials problems in the core of light-water reactors, from the pressure vessel into the fuel. Key topics deal with the $UO_2$ fuel, Zircaloy cladding, stainless steel, and of course, water. The restriction to LWR materials does not mean a short monograph; the enormous quantity of experimental and theoretical work over the past 50 years on these materials presents a challenge of culling the most important features and explaining them in the simplest quantitative fashion. Moreover, LWRs will probably be the sole instrument of the return of nuclear energy in electric power production for the next decade or so. By that time, a new book will be needed.
