모바일 디스플레이산업 분석 (An Analysis of Mobile Display Industries)

  • This is an analysis of international mobile displays industry. There has been severe competition in market and technology. In technology, There has been competition between Japan, USA and Korea. On the other hand, there has been competition in the products market between Korea, Japan and Taiwan. Recently Korea has catched-up Japan in mid-size display industry. The response of Japanese firms are as follows: technological collaboration with Taiwanese firms in mid-size and concentration in small and large size displays. New competition, however, has started, since new technologies such as TFT-LCD and OELD have been used in products.

합금강을 이용한 스퍼기어의 정밀 냉간 단조 (Precision Cold Forging of Spur Gear Using the Alloy Steel)

  • The conventional closed-die forgings had been applied to the forging of spur gears. But the forgings require high forging-pressure. In this paper, new precision forging technology have been developed. The developed technology is two steps forging process. Good shaped products are forged successfully with lower forging-pressure than those of conventional forging. The accuracy of the forged spur gear obtained by new precision forging technology is set nearly equal to that of cut spur gear of fourth and fifth class in Korean industrial standard.

Transgenic Animal Model in Reproductive Medicine

  • Transgenic animal technology has provided new opportunities in many aspects of biotechnology and medicine during two decades. Several gene delivery systems including pronuclear injection, retroviral vectors, sperm vectors, and somatic cell cloning have been tried to generate new functional animals. In the future somatic cell cloning technology will be a major method in the transgenic animal production. Many factors enhancing overall transgenic efficiency should be overcome to facilitate the industrial applications of transgenic technology. Transgenic animal technology has settled down in some areas of the medicine, especially the mass production of pharmaceutical proteins and xenotransplantation. Thus, animal biotechnology will contribute to welfare of human being.

  • A chemical investigation of the stem bark of Melia azedarach var. Japonica (Meliaceae) has led to a new limonoid, 12-hydroxyamoorastatone (1), whose structure has been elucidated by spectroscopic measurements including 2D-NMR. The 2D-NOESY experiment on its di-p-bromobenzoate derivative (1a) has established the relative configuration of 1.

  • Through the Bucherer-Berg method, new 5-alkylthiomethyl or 5-alkylsulfonylmethylhydantoins were prepared. The reaction of ethyl chloroacetate with these compounds gave 3-acetate and the subsequent hydrolysis with dilute sodium hydroxide resulted in 3-hydantoinacetic acid derivatives. These products are expected to exhibit anti-inflammatory and analgestic activities.

  • Considering the present and expected demand for human resources by the maritime community, its quantity and quality depend on the number of the ships and the technology applied to them. Scientific and economic developments in this community bring the intensive use of modem technology for many of ships operation. Generally it effects to reduce the quantity of manpower, while it increases the requirement of qualifications of human resources to utilize such advanced technology. Considering above, the maritime education, training and research activities should be revised and updated according to the demand of the community. Because of a difference between the transition of the demand for the human resources and development of the maritime education, training and research activities, there are two most common questions as “What to teach” and “How to teach”. The first question has been asked for many years. The contents of maritime education and training are always related to the existing maritime knowledge and technology and should be updated with consideration of changes of the demand namely “Globalisation of maritime community”. It brings globalisation of the maritime education, training and research activities. The second question is still keeping us busy to look for the best way. Presently traditional methods are used together with new system, while the use of sophisticated simulation, communication and information systems etc. and it is changing our understanding on teaching. This paper introduces the new role of Maritime Institutions from the viewpoints of the maritime education. training and research activities. The role of guide for seafarers and maritime companies is always essential and the concepts such as “Refreshment Training”, “On the Job Training”, “Lifelong” or “Continuous Training” bring new understanding to the training period, trainee's age and position. As a result, the maritime institutions should be ready for their new role, which is, in brief, guiding the maritime society, recommending and providing new learning environments, organising research and developments, performing the education, training and assessment, improving existing methods and developing new methods of the education, training and assessment.

  • 현재 전 세계 의료계의 척추 수술 영역에선 다양한 신기술들이 빠르게 개발되어 임상에 적용되어 오고 있다. 논자는 이러한 신기술들이 환자에게 시술되기 전에 효능과 안전성에 대한 검토가 충실하게 이루어지고 있는지 논의해 볼 필요가 있다고 생각한다. 논자는 이 주제를 고찰하기 위해, 2000년대에 추간판성 통증 질환 치료의 신기술로 등장하여 현재까지 전 세계적으로 널리 시술되어오고 있는 추간판 내열 치료술의 기초 연구 자료들과 임상 적용 과정을 분석하였다. 그 결과 이 시술은 효능과 안전성에 관한 기반 연구가 불충분한 상태에서 임상 적용해 온 것으로 평가되었다. 논자는 이 사례가 현재 척추 수술 영역 신의료기술들의 임상 적용과 관련한 본질적 문제를 드러내고 있다고 판단한다. 따라서 논자는 척추 수술 영역의 신의료기술이 환자들에게 미칠 수 있는 부작용을 최소화하기 위해선 보다 충실한 수준의 기초 연구와 보다 높은 수준의 임상 허용기준이 갖추어져야 한다고 생각한다.

온라인 미술품 플랫폼 수용 의도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Intent to Accept Online Art Platforms)

  • 본 연구에서는 온라인 미술품 플랫폼을 새로운 정보기술의 유형으로 보고 사용자의 지각된 가치와 신기술 수용이 수용 의도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 온라인 미술품 플랫폼 사용자 489명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 시행하였다. 지각된 가치는 정서적 가치, 기능적 가치, 사회적 가치, 금전적 가치로 선정하였고, 통합기술수용이론에서 활용된 예상성과, 예상노력, 촉진조건을 신기술 수용변수로 선정하였다. 지각된 가치의 정서적 가치와 사회적 가치는 신기술 수용에 전체적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤고, 기능적 가치는 촉진조건에, 금전적 가치는 수용 의도에만 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 신기술 수용요인에서 예상성과와 촉진조건은 수용 의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 온라인 미술품 플랫폼 사용자의 지각된 가치와 신기술 수용 측면에서 실증하였다. 이에 플랫폼 공급자가 사용자의 요구사항을 이해하고 반영하는 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
