The Creator Economy on the Metaverse Platform (메타버스 플랫폼의 크리에이터 이코노미: 광고수입 모델과 수익배분 구조를 중심으로)

  • The metaverse platform has been gaining popularity since the pandemic. It facilitates non-face-to-face interaction among creators, users, advertisers, various forms of organizations, and itself. Such interaction has brought light to the new forms of economy, which is called the "creator economy." By providing the virtual space, easy tools, and methods, the platform allows the creators to produce value for the users in the forms of virtual items, content, and experiences. At the same time, it provides audiences to the organizations that need attention. In the course, the platform and the creators generate revenue. Among the diverse revenue sources, this study focuses on revenue generated from advertising and studies how the revenue sharing between the platform and the creator is affected by the abilities of the metaverse platform. With an analysis of the analytical model, we show that if the platform has the ability to reduce advertising avoidance, it can reduce the revenue share of the creator without discouraging the creator from making the proper effort in content creation. Also, as the platform provides effective tools and methods for quality content creation, it can reduce the revenue share of the creator without damaging the creator's required motivation. The ability of the platform in increasing advertising effectiveness helps it to reduce the revenue share of the creator as well.

  • Open source software allows revising and adding a new idea on them as well as debugging themselves. The open source software can be utilized as various educational programs as well as development of a commercial software products using them. MIT App Inventor, one of the block-based visual programming environments for education, supports building a local server and even revision of the platform itself by providing its own source codes. In this paper we implement App Inventor open sources on the local server. Especially we present how to revise and implement a new App Inventor platform reflecting their own requirements in schools or educational institutes and how to build a local server operating the revised App Inventor platform. They can provide more interactive educational environments to students and improve educational satisfaction through the active customizing of the platform itself such as adding new programming block components requested by students.

  • The objective of this study was to propose a new framework for the creative engineering in the product family design coursework. The idea of product family design is a good solution to fulfill customer's requirements and to respond quickly for the technology change. Mass customization based on product family and product platform is a new paradigm with variety and customization through flexibility and quick responsiveness. In this study, the subjects of product family, product platform, product family map, platform leveraging strategy, morphological matrix and module based product family design were reviewed and presented. A new idea generation scheme utilizing SCAMPER method was combined with the morphological matrix approach. For the effective product family and platform design, creative efforts and approaches were utilized and implemented in the coursework process. This will help students to develop creative thinking and approaches in the engineering problem solving.

  • The scale of the industry utilizing the Metaverse platform is gradually growing around the world. Fashion brands are also starting to utilize the Metaverse platform as a new market to replace the next e-commerce platform by targeting new consumers, MZ generation, and even Alpha generation. In this study, a real K-fashion designer's outfit was made into a 3D outfit using CLO 3D program to express it in a new market, the Metaverse 3D platform. It was then compared with a real outfit. An avatar prototype was completed using Max program to simulate the 3D digital fashion outfit and produce an avatar through an optimization process. The 3D outfits showed the same level of results as the actual outfits in terms of fabric surface, material texture, drapability, overall outfit, details, and trimmings. In addition, we proposed a 2D work on total styling suggestion and modeling to secure data sets for future AI-based styling services. In conclusion, this study revealed that actual outfits and 3D outfits had the same results. It is significant that it can be a sample work to build a styling data set through styling suggestion and content production as a significant amount of styling DB construction will be required before AI styling automation services.

  • In this review, several new technologies considered when providing an open service environment in a mobile communication network are described. Recently, 3GPP developed some standards related to IoT services for opening a service platform in an SCS environment based on the OSA concept in a 3GPP LTE system. Similarly, the development of a new framework is underway to allow a plurality of services to commonly use an API environment in which a service provider or client accesses a 5G mobile communication system. Extending the existing LTE SCEF concept, the standardization of the northbound API is applied in the 5G CAPIF environment. Therefore, it is possible to construct a framework that facilitates access from outside, and takes advantage of the common management of various open service environments. An open service platform environment is expected to play an important role in transforming a network with simple connectivity services into a variety of new service markets, or into a service environment that can create added value.

  • The paper presents a new closed-form, not a polynomial-form, solution of the direct kinematics of the 3-6 (Stewart-Gough) Platform. Many research works have presented a single high-order polynomial equation of the direct kinematics. However the polynomial equation causes potential problems such as complicated formulation procedures and discrimination of the actual solution from all roots, which results in time-consuming task and heavy computational burden. Reference Model and Architecture of Interactive Cognitive Health Advisor based on Evolutional Cyber-physical Systems

  • This study presents a reference model (RM) and the architecture of a cognitive health advisor (CHA) that integrates information with ambient intelligence. By controlling the information using the CHA platform, the reference model can provide various ambient intelligent solutions to a user. Herein, a novel approach to a CHA RM based on evolutional cyber-physical systems is proposed. The objective of the CHA RM is to improve personal health by managing data integration from many devices as well as conduct a new feedback cycle, which includes training and consulting to improve quality of life. The RM can provide an overview of the basis for implementing concrete software architectures. The proposed RM provides a standardized clarification for developers and service designers in the design and implementation process. The CHA RM provides a new approach to developing a digital healthcare model that includes integrated systems, subsystems, and components. New features for chatbots and feedback functions set the position of the conversational interface system to improve human health by integrating information, analytics, and decisions and feedback as an advisor on the CHA platform.

  • A continuous development of new hardware and operating systems brings the importance of portable programming, which can be imported into multi-platform environment. Also, the recent development of computer communication technology brings us many choices of accessing into the other platforms, which also becomes a burden for the programmers who should consider developing software fitting into diverse platforms The present GNU system tools creates a part of the source code automatically, and suggests a direction towards a new platform. but the source code must be prepared by the programmer at the source level. In this paper, we describe design and implementation of on interactive tool for developing multi-platform software, The tool is designed to help a programmer to build a portable program for multi-platform, even though the programmer does not know very well about various UNIX platforms, And, the tool uses existing GNU system tools, such as autoconf, autoheader, automake and etc, and is able to insert a portable code into a right position by interacting with a programmer.

  • With the development of Fintech industry, research interest in crowdfunding is growing. Crowdfunding, originated from crowdsourcing, involves the participation of many individuals' contributions to funding a new project. Specifically, lending based crowdfunding provides a platform for raising funds in the form of loans by connecting borrowers to funders(investors) via Internet, not through traditional financial institutions. Recently, lending based crowdfunding attracts much attention as a new investment alternative; however, there is a lack of research about lending based crowdfunding. This study aims to examine the factors influencing an investor's participation in lending based crowdfunding by focusing on platform features, investor features, and project features. Based on the findings, this study discusses theoretical and practical implications for promoting the crowd's investments through crowdfunding platforms.

  • On the spatial information open platform, the national spatial data are released to provide services that the people can use freely. Recently, the demand for high quality 3D geospatial information and indoor spatial information is increasing. However, open platform is not able to provide seamless service because spatial data of indoor and outdoor are composed of different formats and storage structures. In addition, the 3D data format used in the current service does not reflect the recent changes in service environment and new technology. Therefore, in this study, we proposed new format of 3D data used in service to improve interoperability and service of open platform 3D data. The proposed format is lighter than the existing format and the rendering speed is improved.
