미국 남부지역의 도시화로 인한 강수변화 연구에 대한 경향면 분석의 적용 (Application of trend surface analysis(TSA) to a precipitation modification study over urban areas in the southern United States of America)

  • 미국 남서부 지역의 5개 도시 즉 텍사스 주의 Houston, Dallas 및 San Antonio, 루이지애나주의 New Orleans 그리고 테네시주의 Memphis에서 강수의 자연적 경향과 강수에 미치는 도시의 영향을 파악하기 위하여 경향면 분석 (Trend surface analysis, TSA)을 시도하였다. 분석기간은 1961년부터 1990년까지 3O 년간이다. 사용한 자료는 월강수량, 계절강수량 그리고 연강수량이다. Houston을 제외한 4개 도시에서는 겨울철과 봄철에 비하여 여름철과 가을철에 보다 큰 경향값을 보였다. 월별 분 석에서는 11월부터 3월까지 기간에 4월부터 10월까지 기간에 보다 현저한 경향을 나타냈다. 자연적 강수의 변동을 제거한 후의 잔차도를 보면, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio등지에서 는 여름철에 도시와 풍하지역에서 양의 잔차값을 보이고 있는데 이러한 현상은 다른 계절에 비하여 여름철에 도시의 영향으로 인한 강수가 더 많아지고 있음을 의미하는 것이다. Memphis와 New Orleans의 여름철 잔차도에서는 도시의 영향에 기인하는 강수의 현저한 증가를 발견할 수 없었다. New Orleans의 6월과 Memphis의 7월 잔차도에서는 도시에서는 양의 값을 보였으나 다른 도시에 비해 그 규모가 크지 않았다.

  • Significant findings concerning the cause of the gardening revolution of the eighteenth century in England, its landscape style and contribution to a new style are concluded as follows: 1. The English landscape garden is regarded as a great revolution in the history of landscape architecture, and it was in the eighteenth century, in England, that garden and landscape first came together. 2. For at no time in history has there been such general interest in gardens and in the total physical landscape, so much writing and criticism and open debate. 3. Garden design did not become a definite art form in England until the eighteenth century. During the period it can be seen that there were developing three distinct types of garden, that is, the picturesque garden, the 'poetic' garden and 'abstract' garden. 4. Also developing was a new appreciation for natural forms and natural landscape, expressed in painting, poetry and garden design, and the landscape gardeners tried bard to malce country scenery look as though man had not had a hand in it. Eventually these open spaces contributed to a new type of spatial form development of naturalistic landscape style which is today taken for granted as a normal component of the landscape architect's palette.

대두의 영양생리학적 연구 6. 엽위별 가리의 변이 (Studies on the Nutritional Physiology of Soybean 6. Variatio of Potassium at the Various Position of Leaf on the Main Stem)

  • The effect of potassium metabolism on the soybean leaves was studied with comparison of other elements during the successive growing period. The results were as follows; 1. The percentage of potassium content showed remarkable increase not only in the first compound leaf at a stage which was growing vigorously and producing new leaves, but also in the fifth compound leaf at a stage which was taking a active metabolism of nitrogen and carbohydrate but not producing new leaves. However, the percentage of potassium content was decreased in the second compound leaf than in the first one. Such a result could be regarded as a potassium removal from mature leaves into immature and flowing out from stoma through respiration. During the pod-development the percentage of potassium content in the soybean leaf was decreased. 2. If nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium were added excessively in the nutrient solution, the percentage of potassium content in the soybean leaf had increased. The effects of these elements showed a remakable increase in the excessive plot of nitrogen than in that of phosphorus. At early stage the redtarded effect of phosphorus on the growth of soybean could be covered by potassium, however, at late stage it could not. The growth of soybean plant was much more inhibited by potassium, compared with nitrogen and phosphorus. New leaves could not be produced in the potassium deficient soybean plant after the third compound leaf. The normal growth of soybean plant could not be observed if only one element was excessively added to the culture solution, compared with the deficiency of other two elements.

노후 공동주택 주차장 리모델링 공사 표준공기 설정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Normal Project Period for Parking Lot of Aged Apartment Housing)

  • 최근 노후 공동주택의 주차면수 부족 등의 문제로 공동주택 리모델링에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 하지만 공동주택 리모델링 사업의 공사기간을 예측하기 위한 방법은 제시되지 않았다. 공동주택 리모델링 공사는 일반적인 공동주택 신축공사와 달리 철거공사나 보강공사가 수반되기 때문에 기존 공사기간 산정방안과 차별화된 현실성있는 리모델링 공사기간 산정방안이 제시되어야 한다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 공동주택 리모델링 공사의 지하주차장 공사기간을 도출하기 위한 모델을 제시하고자 한다. 선행 연구 고찰 및 전문가 자문을 통해 지하주차장 리모델링 공사의 19가지의 액티비티를 기준으로 각각의 공사기간을 산정하였다. 공사기간 산정을 위해 액티비티의 작업량데이터와 생산성데이터를 도출하였고, 생산성데이터의 보정을 위해 액티비티별 투입인원 및 장비투입대수를 결정하였다. 도출된 데이터를 활용하여 액티비티의 공사기간을 산출하였고, 액티비티 별 중첩기간 산정기준을 제시해 현실적인 공사기간과 예정공정표 작성이 가능하도록 하였다. 사례단지 검증을 통해 공사기간 정확도 예측 결과 정확도는 90%이상 일치하는 것으로 나타나 향후 공동주택 리모델링 공사의 지하주차장 개략 공사기간 예측과 공정표 작성이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

노인들을 대상으로 한 영양보충음료에 대한 기호도 및 영양적 효과 (The Effectiveness and Preferences of Nutritional Supplementary Drinks for the Elderly)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness and preferences of supplementary drinks for very old subjects who are likely to be malnourished. Twenty- five elderly subjects were divided into two groups. The supplemented group(N=15) received 500mls of nutrient supplement(New Care) two times daily for 4 weeks. This resulted in a significant increase in the total calories, protein, minerals and vitamins. Nutritional status was assessed both anthropometrically and biochemically, before and after the study period. A significant improvement in mid arm circumference, triceps skinfold thickness and serum albumin were observed in the supplemented group but not in the control group. There is a possibility that most of the elderly were in an anemic state at the beginning of the study since their mean hematologic parameters were within the lower normal range while their mean serum osmolarities was slightly higher than normal, . Although mean serum hemoglobin and hematocrit were not increased significantly, th percentage of the recovery rate from anemia in the supplemented group was higher than in the control group. Total lymphocyte count also showed similar tendency. Sensory evaluation of nutritional supplementary drinks were relatively good and the elderly showed great interest in nutrient supplements. This study suggests that a nutritional status of poorly nourished elderly subjects can be improved by providing them with nutritional supplementations.

Evaluation of Exposure Dose and Working Hours for Near Surface Disposal Facility

  • Decommissioning of nuclear power plants generates a large amount of radioactive waste in a short period. Moreover, Radioactive waste has various forms including a large volumes of metal, concrete, and solid waste. The disposal of decommissioning waste using 200 L drums is inefficient in terms of economics, work efficiency, and radiation safety. Therefore, The Korea Radioactive Waste Agency is developing large containers for the packaging, transportation, and disposal of decommissioning waste. Assessing disposability considering the characteristics of the radioactive waste and facility, convenience of operation, and safety of workers is necessary. In this study, the exposure dose rate of workers during the disposal of new containers was evaluated using Monte Carlo N-Particle Transport code. Six normal and four abnormal scenarios were derived for the assessment of the dose rate in a near surface disposal facility operation. The results showed that the calculated dose rates in all normal scenarios were lower than the direct exposure dose limitation of workers in the safety analysis report. In abnormal scenarios, the work hours with dose rates below 20 mSv·y-1 were calculated. The results of this study will be useful in establishing the optimal radiation work conditions.

조석환경변화를 고려한 목포항의 고극조위 산정 (Frequency Analysis of Extreme High Water Level at Mokpo Harbor Considering Tidal Environment Changes)

  • 영산강하구언과 영암 및 금호방조제 건설과 같은 대규모 간척사업에 따라 목포해역에는 조석확폭현상이 발생되어 저지대 침수를 야기한바 있다. 목포항에서의 조위자료를 검토해 보면 방조제 건설단계별로 평균만조위 뿐 아니라 고극조위가 \"jump\"된 현상을 볼 수 있다. 따라서 기존 설계조위를 전면적으로 재검토해야 할 필요성이 제기되어 왔다. 이때 빈도해석에 이용되는 자료는 현재상태인 금호방조제 건설이후의 자료에 국한되어야 한다. 그러나 고극조위 극치분석에 사용될 수 있는 자료는 아직까지 6년 정도에 불과하기 때문에 정상적인 빈도해석에는 문제가 있는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 수치모형을 이용해 과거자료를 현재자료로 변환시켜 적용하는 방안을 제안하였으며, 이에 따라 32년 간의 변환된 자료와 6년 간의 최근자료 등 총 38년 간의 풍부한 자료를 이용하여 정상적인 빈도해석이 가능하게 되었다. 가능하게 되었다.

  • Distraction osteogenesis is a new bone formation technique. There is a advantage of the environmental adaptation when distraction force is applied to the gap between osteotomy lines. But it has a disadvantage of long-term wearing of the appliance and long consolidation period. Therefore we make an effort to reduce it and repair normal function. Extracellular matrix proteins have a function to control the cellular growth, migration, shape and metabolism. In these, hyaluronic acid is a member of polysaccharide glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and has a important function as bone formation and osteoinduction property. Purpose : In this experimental study in rabbit mandibular distraction osteogenesis, we investigated the bone enhancing property of hyaluronic acid and the expression of extracellular proteins such as osteocalcin and osteonectin. Materials and Methods : The experimental study was carried out on 24 Korean male white rabbits (both mandibular body, n=48). Distraction group was divided to distraction experimental (A, n=16) and distraction control (B, n=16) by the application of hyaluronic acid (Hyruan, LGCI, Seoul, Korea). Normal control group (C, n=16) was only osteotomized. After 5 days latency, distraction devices were activated at a rate of 1.4 mm per day (0.7 mm every 12hours) for 3.5 days. Animals were sacrificed at postoperative 3, 7, 14, and 28 days. H&E stain and immunohistochemical stain was done on decalcified section. Additionally RT-PCR analysis was done for the identification of the expression of osteocalcin and osteonectin. Results : The bone formation in distraction experimental group was much more than that in distraction and normal control group at postoperative 28 days. In immunohistochemical stain, osteocalcin was enhanced at only postoperative 14 days, but osteonectin was not different at each post-operation days. In RT-PCR analysis, osteocalcin was not different at each post-operation days, but osteonectin was strongly expressed in distraction experimental group at postoperative 7 days. The expression of osteocalcin and osteonectin was elevated during the healing period. Conclusion : We found the good bone formation ability of hyaluronic acid in distraction osteogenesis through the immunohistochemistry and RTPCR analysis to osteocalcin and osteonectin, known as a bone formation marker. The application of hyaluronic acid in distraction osteogenesis is a method to reduce the consolidation period.

한국 확률강우량도 작성을 위한 수문학적 연구 (A Hydrological Study on Rainfall Frequency Atlas in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 기왕의 국내 전강우량 자료를 대상으로 관측기간, 관측지점 및 결측치의 보완등을 조회하여 최근 수문학 이론에 입각한 분석방법으로 한국확률강우량도를 작도한 연구내용이다. 기왕의 자료를 조회하여 이동평균법에 의한 편차의 백분율이 5% 이하에서 통계년수가 설정되는 연우량 및 최대이우량에 대하여 자료보유지점수가 103개 지점 및 100개 지점에 이르렀으며, 확률강우량도의 작도가 가능하였다. 그러나 장단시간(18시간미만) 우량자료보유지점수는 12개 지점에 불과하므로 작도상 무리하리라고 판단된 바 향후 10여년이 경과되어야 가능할 것으로 생각한다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻은 성과는 아래와 같다. 1) 이동평균법을 적용하여 산정한 통계년수로서는 모평균치에 대한 이동평균치의 극치편차의 백분율이 5% 정도라면 20년, 2%∼3%이면 30년으로 밝혀졌다. 2) 연우량 및 최대일우량 자료집단에 대하여는 통계년수 30년으로 확률강우량도 작성이 가능하였으며 18시간 미만의 우량자료집단은 1990년대에 이르러서 가능할 것으로 사료된다. 3) 확룰강우량 산정방법으로서는 필자의 Y∼k법을 적용함이 국내우량자료집단 해석이 간편하고 계산량이 훨씬 감 소되므로 적당할 것으로 생각된다. 4) 확률강우량도의 실질적인 활용도를 높이기 위하여는 확대도면의 작성과 보다 세분된 등우량선이 기입되어야 할 것이고 하루 속히 단시간 확률강우량도가 완성되어야 하리라고 생각한다.

기관지절개술 환자의 흡인시 사용하는 용액의 오염수준 변화 연구 (A Study on the Contamination of Solution with Suction used in Tracheostomy Patients)

  • It has been contributed to public health that the hospital has multiplied in the aspect of number and has been a large size with development of modern medical science, meanwhile the problem of hospital infection is coming out seriously. Respiratory hospital infection among hospital infections develops, very commonly from patients having taken the operation of intubation or tracheostomy, which results from a big factor that the infection developed from medical appliances used for respiration aids, contamination of solution and infection of medical staff. This study is separated into four steps-the time to use normal saline and distillation water for storaging catheter which are the cause of the infection of solution to store distillation water and catheter, not to say the catheter used when the patient who should get tracheostomy operation takes suction. The purpose of this study is to offer the basic data which are needed to check contamination degree as time goes by and nurse intervention and grope for a new nursing intervention. The target of this study is hospitalized 1D an intensive care unit having 700 sickbeds which is located in IKSAN city and it targeted patients before 7 days passed after an operaion of a tracheostormy. Materials collected were analyzed by SPSS PC+ figures program. The result of this study were as follows ; 1. The gradual contamination levels of the normal saline used In suction are showing that colony increase in proportion to the length of time. 2. while colony increases in normal saline with the lapse of time. distillation water mixed with 5cc of potadine did not show any sign of the formation of colony from its preparation until it was used for 8 hours. 3. Such variables as the period of intubation insertion. the length of hospitalization in I.C.U. the age and the level of contamination of normal saline have no inter-relationship. Therefore. as the length of normal saline used In suction. the contamination level increases with the excelleration of the contamination speed. 4. Regarding the number of suction and the contamination level of the normal saline. We can observe correlation contamination level in the 3 step of suction(mean value:13.4) and the saline which was used for one hours(r=0.702. P=0.00l). four hours(r=0.694. P=0.00l). eight hours(r=0.488. P=0.029). Further we can observe contamination in the 4 step of suction (mean value: 17 .8) well as saline used for eight hours; [for one hours (r=0.64l. P=0.002). four hours (r=0.670. P=0.00l). eight hours (r=0.57 4. P=0.008)]. Thesedays clinics use normal saline by changing it. three times a day. however. the timing of saline change and the current suction methoed should be changed given the one hour used normal saline contamination number 79.850. Regarding the number of suction and the contamination lend of the normal saline.
