  • This paper examined how consumers' attitude toward the telecommunication expense was affected by news reports through the experiment. Participants were randomly assigned to one of four group (control group, high-expense-claimed-media group, low-expense-claimed-media group, and both-exposed-media group), and asked to indicate credibility & neutrality toward media report, similarity between media report, and their own thought, their attitude toward the telecommunication expense. The result of ANOVA showed that the high-expense-claimed-media was perceived more credible and neutral than the low-expense-claimed-media. ANCOVA was conducted to eliminate the impact of similarity between media report and their own thought on the evaluation of credibility & neutrality toward media report, and the result showed that there was no difference. Also, participants evaluated the telecommunication service so expensive, regardless of what kind of media reports they were exposed. We found that consumers' prior belief, which telecommunication service was expensive, might interrupt consumers' learning process for new information from media. To resolve the social pressure about mobile service rate-cutting, it is necessary to investigate how to dampen consumers' stereotype about the telecommunication expense. The future research using the framing effect could be considerable.

  • This study examined the consumer response of the current O2O service between service types. Previous studies mainly focused on the quality factor of O2O service or Technology Acceptance Model or extended TAM, This study is different from the fact that there are differences in factors that consumers consider important and consumer reactions by service type. It is also significant that we compared between representative food delivery services and car sharing services that are actively used among O2O services. As O2O service is closely related to consumer's life, this study chose three factors that the issue of personal information security and trust of intermediary platform companies, and finally subjective norm based on individuals and groups who are aware of new O2O service. To test hypotheses, data were collected and analyzed for 301 samples, focusing on delivery and car sharing service, As a result, the delivery service among the O2O services was more positive to attitude toward service in the consumer group with lower personal information security, trust in platform, and subjective norm than car sharing service. Based on these results, implications and future research directions were presented.

  • This paper is designed to suggest marketing strategies suitable for each classified group by subdividing high school students, the new-generation consumers, by clothes-shopping orientation at jean markets and by identifying the demographic characteristics and the purchasing behavior of each classified group. The subjects consist of 644 high school students. female and male, in Seoul, who responded to my questionnaire research. In terms of the clothes-shopping orientation, pleasure shopping orientation, brand-based shopping orientation, fashion-oriented one, convenience-oriented one and economic one are in sequence. In light of the consumer group based on the factors of clothes-shopping tendencies, the convenience-oriented group ranks first, which is followed by pleasure shopping group, brand-based shopping group and economic one. The subjects turn out to have purchased jeans at time of necessity, The subjects are most liable to get information from their friends, which is followed by their shopping experiences and display. And they turn out to be little affected by family members, salespersons and the press. They regarded aesthetic standards as one of the most important standards, which are followed by size, fitting, personality expression and prices in order. On the other hand, they think little of such factors as friends and similarity. In terms of the standards to make a selection of shops, the respondents cite the quality of goods, the prices of jeans, and service. • Because of the burgeoning demand of the energy, the countries are finding sustainable solutions for these emerging challenges. Demand Side Management is playing a significant role in managing the demand with an aim to support the electrical grid during the peak hours. However, advancement in controls and communication technologies, the aggregators are appearing as a third party entity in implementing demand response program. In this paper, a detailed mathematical framework is discussed in which the aggregator acts as an energy service provider between the utility and the consumers, and facilitate the consumers to actively participate in demand side management by introducing the new concept of demand reduction bidding (DRB) under constrained direct load control. Paper also presented an algorithm for the proposed framework and demonstrated the efficacy of the algorithm by considering few case studies and concluded with simulation results and discussions.

  • A new town attracts a large population in the short period due to its excellent residential conditions, and forms a local economy. However, if the new town is constructed in an inferior area, it would cause a negative effect to neighboring areas by absorbing population and firms from them. Nevertheless, the relocation of Chungnam provincial office from Daejeon, a metropolitan area to Naepo belongs to the key project of constructing Naepo. If the officers and their family members move to Naepo following the relocation and form a new consumer group of a local economy, the construction of Naepo would cause a positive effect to its neighboring areas. This paper empirically analyzes the effect of Naepo on the local economy through the change in differences of the new openings of restaurants between areas (defined either by donut-shaped area with 500-meter width or by Eup, Myun, and Dong) inside and those outside of 10km from the border of Naepo. The results from regression equation estimation where difference-in-differences framework is applied imply that the construction of Naepo new town caused a positive economic effect to its neighboring areas.

  • Purpose - The Visegrád Group cooperation of the past 14 years and that of V4 for the past 20 years has very important significance in the 21st century that must be maintained. This cooperation is valuable because of the trade routes that connect northern Poland to the Balkans in southern Croatia, which forman important basis for the resuscitation of Central European development. Currently, because of the European manufacturing base and industrial development, an energy supply and stable energy distribution networks have been introduced to secure cooperation and not competition within the Visegrád Group. This paper's research emphasizes the supply chain hub in neighboring countries. Although Central and Eastern European countries are small, they can provide a competitive response to Western Europe if they collaborate with the V4 group and other countries. Research design, data, and methodology - The subjects of this study in the Visegrád Group area are related to the development of Marketing and Distribution Sciences in the integrated European Union. In relation to the existing energy infrastructure, construction companies and financial institutions benefit from large-scale construction projects. Existing or new infrastructure facilities among the V4 must comply with the preconditions of regional energy markets. The network of emerging markets is changing into a European-logistics hub of new markets. This hub is closely associated with the economic development of European self-sustainment given that energy for distribution and consumption is imported from Russia. Therefore, this paper indirectly provides data on the regional distribution of energy as alternative bases in Europe for market expansion to Asia. Results - As a result, it appeared unlikely that V4 failed to implement homogeneity following the standards of Western Europe, as proposed by the EU. Throughout European history, individuals have gathered in Central Europe as an innovation hub. Currently, the region is being established independently for energy industrial development and not for tourism development, and is expected to play a central role in innovation and distribution consumption. Therefore, similar to Western and Northern Europe, V4 only appears to engage in distribution consumption on the basis of the identity that it formed for itself. This area is expected to either create a regional platform or a voice over a single economic policy. Conclusions - To this end, regarding the distribution of consumer groups within and outside the region, the V4 group is expected to be established for various policy areas and as a Eurasian outpost of trade and distribution logistics. In addition, given its purpose of engaging in the distribution of energy cooperation and trade clusters, the Visegrád Group will be in charge of the center axis of the bridge for distribution logistics trading partners from the Western Balkans to Caucasus and Eastern Europe. Thus, the Visegrád Group is entering this region as a platform for market share by enabling all or any investor can gain greater industrial benefits.

  • As smartphones permeate the consumer lifestyle, branded application and mobile shopping have also received increased attention as an important marketing channel. This study identifies the general information about the use of smartphones, attitudes toward fashion applications, and mobile shopping intentions for smartphone users. Focus group interviews were conducted and 22 interviewees participated. The age of the participants ranged from 21 to 45 years old (55% were females). When examining the motivation to adopt a smartphone, respondents presented the comparable characteristics of early adopters and late adopters according to the time of adoption. Most respondents over the age of 30 showed some troubles to use a smartphone; however, participants in their 20s tended to enjoy exploring the new technology. More than half of respondents were aware of fashion applications, but were dissatisfied with fashion apps and used them infrequently. Respondents pointed out that fashion related apps were not too practical because they were not updated regularly, provided only limited information, and focused on brand promotions. In order to increase the intention to adopt mobile shopping, the price and payment security system needs to be considered. This was an exploratory study to identify the possibility of fashion branded apps as a major distribution channel. The findings of this study provide fundamental information to formulate marketing strategies for fashion businesses that have developed fashion apps.
