자동운전 도시철도차량의 운전특성을 고려한 절연구분장치 이론적 고찰 (Theoretical Study of Neutral Section Considering the Driving Characteristics of ATO Urban Railway Vehicle)

  • In this paper, proper length of neutral section and neutral section system configuration is proposed to minimize accidents if ATO urban railway vehicle stops maintaining the leading vehicles in air section at regular intervals. When considering the minimum voltage sensing of power conversion unit in the urban railway vehicle, the effective length of 14,280[mm] with neutral section can be minimized damage due to high current because the urban railway vehicle is very little present chance compare neutral section with pantograph interval installed on a unit vehicle. In addition, uplift of catenary line and contact wire consider to minimize damage. The result of theoretical review, as the proposed neutral section shorter, isolated neutral section is effective than the integrated neutral section.

  • The neutral section was installed in order to prevent conflict with different phase angle source in electric railway catenary system. The speed of electric train reduced due to coasting operation by notch off when it passed the neutral section. And, the catenary wire was damaged and the accident might be happened because of the arc generation when the electric train passed the neutral section with notch on condition. This project has a goal to develop the automatic changeover system using by noncontactless semiconductor device in neutral section of catenary system so that the train pass as notch-on condition. In this first year, we obtain as following results such as domestic and international systems applications and completion requirements, development and analysis of stability for automatic changeover system, design of static switching device on automatic changeover system in neutral section and drawing up interface design and specifications according to equipment.

  • Traction power is supplied by three-phase alternating current of 154 kV power grid and electric trains are operated on single phase feeding system. It becomes important to use all the three phases equally and convert them into two-phase electric power (90 degree phase rotation) for traction supply. This is achieved by special transformer from the adjacent traction substation which is separated by a neutral section. Neutral section locations are in front of the substation and between the two substations. The first stage of the Seoul-Busan high-speed railway, design curve radius is larger than 7,000 m and the greatest slope is 25‰. The railway track conditions are evaluated as good enough to install a neutral section at the first stage, but a few factors of coasting operation of the train should be considered at the second stage of Seoul-Busan high-speed railway. The neutral section was located at Kim-cheon substation, which made some neutral section problems produced by the operating train, and the neutral section was moved about 1.5 km to the south toward Dong Dae-gu station due to the track operation condition. Some of the trains which stopped at the existing Kim-cheon Gu-mi station produced another motor block failure after moving the neutral section. In this paper, power quality, system performance and track condition, etc. are suggested to solve the problems.

  • The study is about a neutral section device adopted in the catenary system in connection with KNR's project to electrify the conventional Honam-Line. A neutral section device(PTFE type) adopting into catenary system accepts a train velocity of 200km/h, installed firstly in Korea electric. railway system. This study shows technologies and construction cases of the neutral section device.

  • This paper is intended as an investigation of the interface between Neutral section insulators and pantograph interface. Neutral section insulators are installed at the boundary between AC catenary system and DC catenary system, which should provide electrical insolation between two different catenary systems and pass the trains without interruption. As the number of the pantographs installed on the train increased, which is necessary for the VVVF inverter drive trains introduced in recent years, there occurs an serious aspects of the interaction between pantographs and Neutral section insulators. These effects hinder the automatic switch operation of MCB(Main Circuit Breaker) after passing through the section insulators, and lead to the extra-ordinary wear of FRP insulator material of section insulators. Countermeasures in terms of the interface between the Neutral secton insulators and electric collection system of train are provided too.

선박의 비대칭 단면 특성에 대한 연구 (Study on Section Properties of Asymmetric-Sectioned Vessels)

  • This paper presents definition of symmetry of a ship section where three symmetries are proposed: material, geometric, and load symmetries. Precise terminologies of centroid, moment plane, and neutral axis plane are also defined. It is suggested that force vector equilibrium as well as force equilibrium are necessary condition to determine new position of neutral axis due to translational and rotational mobility. It is also stated that new reference datum of ENMP(elastic neutral moment plane), PNMP(fully plastic moment plane), ENAP(elastic neutral axis plane), and INAP(inelastic neutral moment plane) are required to define asymmetric section properties such as second moment of area, elastic section modulus, yield moment, fully plastic moment, and ultimate moment. Since collision-induced damage and flooding-induced biaxial bending moment produce typical asymmetry of section, the section properties are calculated for a typical VLCC. Geometry asymmetry is determined from ABS and DNV rules and two moment planes of 0/30 degs are assumed for load asymmetry. It is proved that the property reduction ratios directly calculated from second moment of area are usually larger than area reduction ratio. Reduction ratio of ultimate moment capacity shows almost linearly proportional to area reduction ratio. Mobility of elastic and inelastic neutral axis planes is visually provided.

  • The neutral section was installed in order to prevent conflict with different phase angle source in electric railway catenary system. The speed of electric train reduced due to coasting operation by notch off when it passed the neutral section. And, the catenary wire was damaged and the accident might be happened because of the arc generation when the electric train passed the neutral section with notch off condition. The inrush current of main transformer installed tiling train is analyzed during the operation of MCB(main circuit break) passing through the neutral section. The instantaneous waveform of load current were analyzed in case of powering and regenerative braking. Inrush current waveform with run of AC railway train showed that inrush current waveform and harmonics, the inrush current generated from main transformer in train has bad effects on power quality problem. In order to reduce these inrush currents, the MCB is connected when the phase angle of voltage is 90 degree. This paper is to measure inrush current and harmonics in main transformer of high speed train in neutral section of electric railway. This measurement report is used to control minimum inrush current in algorithm and power phase angle.

  • This paper is to analysis technical characteristics occured in the eletric train power conversion device passing automatic changover system in neutral section of electric railway. Power conversion devices in electric train are classified according to the current type and voltage type. The results of this study is used to ensure the stability of electric train in neutral section of electric railway.

  • A neutral section is installed around feeding substation(SS) and sectioning post(SP) that M phase and T phase are isolated in AC feeding system. Electric Train under "Notch-OFF" is operated by inertia within the neutral section. It causes disturbing the operation of electric trains for speed drop and driver's mistakes.   • At the neutral sections, There are neutral sections inserted in overhead contact line between the substations to divide different phase current sections of AC electrified lines. except convention line, a large stress occurs in the contact wire near the fittings under passing pantographs. So, in order to raise the train speed over 150km/h, a new type section has been adopted.
