  • Error-backpropagation has been used in the bulk of Practical applications for neural networks. While an emulator, a multilayered neural network, learns to identify the system's dynamic characteristics. There is, however, no concrete theoretical results about the structure of a plant and the structure of a multilayered neural network and the learning rate. The paper investigates the relation between structure of a plant and a multilayered network and learning rate. Simulation study shows that the plant signal with a short period and a fast sam time is preferable for learning of the network emulator.

  • The Fuzzy-Neural Controller is constructed to resolve some dificulties taking place in decision of membership functions, input and output gains and an inferenced method for desinging fuzzy logic controller. In addition Neural network emulator is used to emulate induction motor forward dynamics and to get error signal at fuzzy-neural controller output layer. Error signal is backpropagated through neural network emulator. A back propagation algorithm is used to train fuzzy-neural controller and emulator. The experimental results show that this control system can provide good dynamical responses.

  • This paper presents an feed-forward neural network design instead PI controller for the speed control of an Induction Motor. The design employs the training strategy with Neural Network Controller(NNC) and Neural Network Emulator(NNE). Emulator identifies the motor by simulating the input and output map. In order to update the weights of the Controller. Emulator supplies the error path to the output stage of the controller using backpropagation algorithm. and then Controller produces an adequate output to the system due to neural networks learning capability. Therefore it becomes adjustable to the system with changing characteristics caused by a load. The speed control based on neural networks for induction motor is implemented by a vector controlled induction motor. The simulation results demonstrate that actual motor speed with neural network system well follows the reference speed minimizing the error and is available to implement on the vector control theory.

  • The paper presents a speed control system of vector controlled induct- ion motor using neural networks. The main feature of proposed speed control system is a Neural Network Controller(NNC) which supplies torque current to induction motor and Neural Network Emulator(NNE) which captures the forward dynamics of induction motor. A back propagation training algorithm is employed to train the NNE and NNC. In order to determine the NNC output error, plant(induction motor) output error can be back propagated through the NNE. The NNC and NNE for speed control of vector controlled induction motor is carried out by TMS320C30 DSP and IGBT current regulated PWM inverter. Through computer simulation and experimental results, it is verified that proposed speed control system is robust to the load variation. (author). refs., figs.

  • This paper presents a vector controlled induction motor is implemented by neural networks system compared with PI controller for the speed control. The design employed the training strategy with Neural Network Controller(NNC) and Neural Network Emulator(NNE) for speed.   • 스위치드 리럭턴스 전동기(SRM)는 상대적으로 낮은 가격, 간단하고 견고한 구조, 제어의 용이성과 고효율을 가지기 때문에 가변속 구동에서 점점 응용범위가 확대되고 있다. 본 논문에서 신경망이론은 퍼지-신경망 제어기의 소속함수와 퍼지규칙을 결정하는데 사용하였으며, 신경망 에뮬레이터는 SRM의 전방향 동특성을 모사하는데 사용하였다. 에뮬레이터의 역전파 오차는 퍼지-신경망 제어기의 소속함수와 퍼지규칙을 개선하는 경로를 제공한다. 32비트 DSP(TNS329C31)는 고속연산과 퍼지-신경망 제어 알고리즘을 실현하는데 사용하였다. 시뮬레이션과 실험결과는 부하변화의 경우 제안된 제어방법이 속도응답에서 종래의 방법보다 우수하였다.

  • This paper deals with a computer aided control of an adjustment process for the complete electronic devices by means of an application of artificial neural network and an implementation of neuro-controller for intelligent control. Multi-layer neural network model is employed as artificial neural network with the learning method of the error back propagation. Information initially available from real plant under control are the initial values of plant output, and the augmented plant input and its corresponding plant output at that time. For the intelligent control of adjustment process utilizing artificial neural network, the neural network emulator (NNE) and the neural network controller(NNC) are developed. The initial weights of each neural network are determined through off line learning for the given product and it is also employed to cope with environments of the another product by on line learning. Computer simulation, as well as the application to the real situation of proposed intelligent control system is investigated.

  • 본 논문은 신경회로망에 의한 퍼지제어기의 소속함수를 자동동조하는 방법을 제시하였다. 신경회로망 에뮬레이터는 퍼지제어기의 소속함수와 퍼지규칙을 재구성하는 경로를 제공하며, 재구성된 퍼지제어기는 유도전동기의 속도제어를 위해 사용한다. 따라서, 연산 시간과 시스템 성능의 관점에서 제안된 방법은 전동기 상수가 변동될 시에도 기존의 제어 방식보다 우수하다. 공간전압벡터 PWM 발생을 위한 고속연산을 수행하고 자기학습형 퍼지제어기 알고리즘을 구현하기 위해서 32비트 마이크로프로세서인 DSP(TMS320C31)을 사용하였다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실험 결과를 통하여, 제안된 방식이 PI 제어기나 기존의 퍼지제어기보다 향상된 제어 성능을 보일 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, we proposed a fuzzy-neuro controller to control the speed of wound rotor induction motor with slip energy recovery. The speed is limited at some range of sub-synchronous speed of the rotating magnetic field. Control speed by adjusting resistance value in the rotor circuit that occurs the efficiency of power are reduced, because of the slip energy is lost when it passes through the rotor resistance. The control system is designed to maintain efficiency of motor. Recently, the emergence of artificial neural networks has made it conductive to integrate fuzzy controllers and neural models for the development of fuzzy control systems, Fuzzy-neuro controller has been designed by integrating two neural network models with a basic fuzzy logic controller. Using the back propagation algorithm, the first neural network is trained as a plant emulator and the second neural network is used as a compensator for the basic fuzzy controller to improve its performance on-line. The function of the neural network plant emulator is to provide the correct error signal at the output of the neural fuzzy compensator without the need for any mathematical modeling of the plant. The difficulty of fine-tuning the scale factors and formulating the correct control rules in a basic fuzzy controller may be reduced using the proposed scheme. The scheme is applied to the control speed of a wound rotor induction motor process. The control system is designed to maintain efficiency of motor and compensate power factor of system. That is: the proposed controller gives the controlled system by keeping the speed constant and the good transient response without overshoot can be obtained.

  • In this paper, an implementation of neuro-controller with an application of artificial neural network for an adjustment and tuning process for the completed electronics devices is presented. Multi-layer neural network model is employed with the learning method of error back-propagation. For the intelligent control of adjustment and tuning process, the neural network emulator (NNE) and the neural network controller(NNC) are developed. Computer simulation reveals that the intelligent controllers designed can function very effectively as tools for computer aided adjustment system. The applications of the controllers to the real systems are also demonstrated.
