무방향 네트워크의 2-터미날 신뢰성 계산을 위한 $K^4$-chain 축소 ($K^4$-chain Reductions for Computing 2-terminal Reliability in an Undirected Network)

  • For an undirected stochastic network G, the 2-terminal reliability of G, R(G) is the probability that the specific two nodes (called as terminal nodes) are connected in G. A. typical network reliability problem is to compute R(G). It has been shown that the computation problem of R(G) is NP-hard. So, any algorithm to compute R(G) has a runngin time which is exponential in the size of G. If by some means, the problem size, G is reduced, it can result in immense savings. The means to reduce the size of the problem are the reliability preserving reductions and graph decompositions. We introduce a net set of reliability preserving reductions : the $K^{4}$ (complete graph of 4-nodes)-chain reductions. The total number of the different $K^{4}$ types in R(G), is 6. We present the reduction formula for each $K^{4}$ type. But in computing R(G), it is possible that homeomorphic graphs from $K^{4}$ occur. We devide the homemorphic graphs from $K^{4}$ into 3 types. We develop the reliability preserving reductions for s types, and show that the remaining one is divided into two subgraphs which can be reduced by $K^{4}$-chain reductions 7 polygon-to-chain reductions.

  • This paper describe the optimal design of geodetic network by analytical technique based on the quality criteria of network. We described an example of geodetic network design taking into account the precision, reliability and strength that are the main criteria of network design. The main goal of this paper is to evaluate the criteria to design the geodetic network coinciding with the criteria of geometrical strength and high reliability. From this study, the result shows relatively weaker strength in marginal part than the center of network. This indicated that the precision of observation in marginal part is relatively lower than the center.

  • The vehicle of urban transit is a complex system that consists of various electric, electronic, and mechanical equipments, and the maintenance cost of this complex and large-scale system generally occupies sixty percent of the LCC (Life Cycle Cost). For reasonable establishing of maintenance strategies, safety security and cost limitation must be considered at the same time. The concept of system reliability has been introduced and optimized as the key of reasonable maintenance strategies. For optimization, three preceding studies were accomplished; standardizing a maintenance classification, constructing RBD (Reliability Block Diagram) of VVVF (Variable Voltage Variable Frequency) urban transit, and developing a web based reliability evaluation system. Historical maintenance data in terms of reliability index can be derived from the web based reliability evaluation system. In this paper, we propose applying inverse problem analysis method and hybrid neuro-genetic algorithm to system reliability optimization for using historical maintenance data in database of web based system. Feed-forward multi-layer neural networks trained by back propagation are used to find out the relationship between several component reliability (input) and system reliability (output) of structural system. The inverse problem can be formulated by using neural network. One of the neural network training algorithms, the back propagation algorithm, can attain stable and quick convergence during training process. Genetic algorithm is used to find the minimum square error.

  • 본 연구는 확장하연서도 적용하기 어려운 계통인 인천국제공항 배전계통에 대하여 전력공급제한을 포함하는 종합적언 선협도평가를 하였다. 우선, 계통의 선로제약 및 전압강하를 고려한 평가를 하기 위하여 확정론적인 방법과 고장모드-효과분석법에 지반을 푼 PLOC지법을 도입하고, 신뢰도지수를 계산하었다. 또한 계통의 능력을 평가하고, 신뢰도를 개선하기 위하여 ANP를 도입하였다. 이와같은은 결과로 정확한 신뢰도를 계산하교 취약부분을 찾아내고, 계통의 확장계획을 수립하는 것올 가능하게 하였다.

DSL: Dynamic and Self-Learning Schedule Method of Multiple Controllers in SDN

  • For the reliability of controllers in a software defined network (SDN), a dynamic and self-learning schedule method (DSL) is proposed. This method is original and easy to deploy, and optimizes the combination of multiple controllers. First, we summarize multiple controllers' combinations and schedule problems in an SDN and analyze its reliability. Then, we introduce the architecture of the schedule method and evaluate multi-controller reliability, the DSL method, and its optimized solution. By continually and statistically learning the information about controller reliability, this method treats it as a metric to schedule controllers. Finally, we compare and test the method using a given testing scenario based on an SDN network simulator. The experiment results show that the DSL method can significantly improve the total reliability of an SDN compared with a random schedule, and the proposed optimization algorithm has higher efficiency than an exhaustive search.

Linear Time Algorithm for Network Reliability Problem

  • This paper deals with the network reliability problem that decides the communication line between main two districts while the k districts were destroyed in military communication network that the n communication lines are connected in m districts. For this problem, there is only in used the mathematical approach as linear programming (LP) software package and has been unknown the polynomial time algorithm. In this paper we suggest the heuristic algorithm with O(n) linear time complexity to solve the optimal solution for this problem. This paper suggests the flow path algorithm (FPA) and level path algorithm (LPA). The FPA is to search the maximum number of distinct paths between two districts. The LPA is to construct the levels and delete the unnecessary nodes and edges. The proposed algorithm can be get the same optimal solution as LP for experimental data.

  • 삼변삼각강이 동일한 형상을 갖는 삼변강이나 삼각강보다 더 우수함은 잘 알려진 사실이다. 그러나 일반적으로는 이질측지망의 조정에서 잔차와 기준분징값이 더 크게 나타나므로 이를 설명하기가 쉽지 않다. 이 논문에서는 이질강의 동시조정과 그 정밀도 및 신뢰도에 대해 논의되어 있다. 실측성과를 적용한 결과 이질측지강의 해석에는 신뢰도의 개념과 규준이 정밀도보다 타당함을 보여주고 있다.

  • CAN은 처음에는 차량 네트워크에서의 사용을 위해 고안되었으나 잡음에 강하고 신뢰성이 높아 공장자동화 등에서도 많이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 1:1통신에서 네트워크 기반의 통신방식으로 변화되면서 각 장치의 기계적인 동작뿐만 아니라 전자, 소프트웨어적인 동작에 대해서도 철저한 검증이 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문은 CAN 기반 시스템에서 통신의 신뢰성을 데이터의 정확성에 대한 부분과 시간상의 정확성에 대한 부분을 검증하는 방법을 제시하고 있다.
