Service Deployment Strategy for Customer Experience and Cost Optimization under Hybrid Network Computing Environment

  • With the development and wide application of hybrid network computing modes like cloud computing, edge computing and fog computing, the customer service requests and the collaborative optimization of various computing resources face huge challenges. Considering the characteristics of network environment resources, the optimized deployment of service resources is a feasible solution. So, in this paper, the optimal goals for deploying service resources are customer experience and service cost. The focus is on the system impact of deploying services on load, fault tolerance, service cost, and quality of service (QoS). Therefore, the alternate node filtering algorithm (ANF) and the adjustment factor of cost matrix are proposed in this paper to enhance the system service performance without changing the minimum total service cost, and corresponding theoretical proof has been provided. In addition, for improving the fault tolerance of system, the alternate node preference factor and algorithm (ANP) are presented, which can effectively reduce the probability of data copy loss, based on which an improved cost-efficient replica deployment strategy named ICERD is given. Finally, by simulating the random occurrence of cloud node failures in the experiments and comparing the ICERD strategy with representative strategies, it has been validated that the ICERD strategy proposed in this paper not only effectively reduces customer access latency, meets customers' QoS requests, and improves system service quality, but also maintains the load balancing of the entire system, reduces service cost, enhances system fault tolerance, which further confirm the effectiveness and reliability of the ICERD strategy.

  • In this paper, we propose the optimal migration path searching method including path adjustment and reassignment techniques for an efficient migration of mobile agent which has an autonomous ability for some task processing. In traditional agent system, if the various and large quantify of task processing were required from the users, it could be derive excessive network traffic and overload due to increasing the size of agent. And also, if an agent migrates from node to node according to routing schedules specified by the user at which the most of network traffic occurs, it could not actively cope with particular situations such as communication loss and node obstacles and required much cost for node traversal Therefore. this paper presents the migration method of agent which can try to adjust and reassign path to the destination automatically through the optimal path search using by network traffic perception in stead of the passive routing schedule by the user. An optimal migration path searching and adjustment methods ensure the migration reliability on distributed nodes and reduce the traversal task processing time of mobile agent by avoiding network traffic paths and node obstacles.

Radar Rainfall Adjustment by Artificial Neural Network and Runoff Analysis (신경망에 의한 레이더강우 보정 및 유출해석)

  • The purpose of this study is to get the adjusted radar rainfalls by ANN(Artificial Neural Network) method. In the case of radar rainfall, it has an advantage of spatial distribution characteristics of rainfall while point rainfall has an advantage at the point. Therefore we adjusted the radar rainfall by ANN method considering the advantages of two rainfalls of radar and point. This study constructed two ANN models of Model I and Model II for radar rainfall adjustment. We collected the three rainfall events and adjusted the radar rainfall for Anseong-cheon basin. The two events were inputted into the Modeland Model to derive the optimum parameters and the rest event was used for validation. The adjusted radar rainfalls by ANN method and the raw radar rainfall were used as the input data of ModClark model which is a semi-distributed model to simulate the runoff. As the results of the simulation, the runoff by raw radar rainfall were overestimated but the peak time and peak runoff from the adjusted rainfall by ANN were well fitted to the observed hydrograph.

A study on FCNN structure based on a α-LTSHD for an effective image processing (효과적인 영상처리를 위한 α-LTSHD 기반의 FCNN 구조 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose a Fuzzy Cellular Neural Network(FCNN) that is based on a-Least Trimmed Square Hausdorff distance(a-LTSHD) which applies Hausdorff distance(HD) to the FCNN structure in order to remove the impulse noise of images effectively and also improve the speed of operation. FCNN incorporates Fuzzy set theory to Cellular Neural Network(CNN) structure and HD is used as a scale which computes the distance between set or two pixels in binary images without confrontation of the feature object. This method has been widely used with the adjustment of the object. For performance evaluation, our proposed method is analyzed in comparison with the conventional FCNN, with the Opening-Closing(OC) method, and the LTSHD based FCNN by using Mean Square Error(MSE) and Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR). As a result, the performance of our proposed network structure is found to be superior to the other algorithms in the removal of impulse noise.

A Method for Minimizing the Number of Clusters in Ad-Hoc Networks (Ad-Hoc 네트워크에서 클러스터 수를 최소화하기 위한 방안)

  • In Ad-Hoc network, the cluster structure enables effective use of multiple channels, reduces the number of control messages, and increase the scalability of network, Also, it is employed for reducing the number of broadcast messages in an Ad-Hoc network. With the consideration of these advantages, it is desirable that a cluster structure keeps a few clusters in the network, Generally, the cluster formation scheme based on connectivity yields fewer clusters than the other schemes. However, the connectivity based scheme may yield even more clusters than the other schemes according to the network topology. In this paper, a cluster formation scheme dividing the cluster formation into two phases is proposed. In the first phase, the lowest connectivity host in neighborhood initiates the cluster formation. Then, an adjustment procedure for affiliating a lot of the lowest connectivity hosts is employed. In the second phase, the hosts which were not affiliated to the first phase clusters are grouped into one or more clusters through criterions of connectivity and host ID. As a result, the proposed scheme yields a fewer clusters compared with existing other schemes in fully distributed method. The simulation results proves that our scheme is better than LIDCP(3) and HCCP(3).

  • A recent argument of network neutrality is converted by the differentiation of transmission and cost adjustment. However, It is raised that this phenomenon caused strategy for vertical integration operator to exclude a competitive operator. This study analyzed a number of instances about differentiation of transmission of ISP and problems of ISP that vertical integration in IX markets. The result of research, differentiation of transmission increased service differentiation about application programs used a best effort network like OTT or Smart TV. But this study was analyzed that a related law was vague for solving this issue. Besides, ISPs that is vertical integrated and commercial operated in an IX market discriminated competitive services, and this phenomenon can be proceeded plainly and orginated in an issue of a related law.

Development of Traffic Accident Frequency Prediction Model in Urban Signalized Intersections with Fuzzy Reasoning and Neural Network Theories (퍼지 및 신경망이론을 이용한 도시부 신호교차로 교통사고예측모형 개발)

  • This study is to suggest a methodology to overcome the uncertainty and lack of reliability of data. The fuzzy reasoning model and the neural network model were developed in order to overcome the potential lack of reliability which may occur during the process of data collection. According to the result of comparison with the Poisson regression model, the suggested models showed better performance in the accuracy of the accident frequency prediction. It means that the more accurate accident frequency prediction model can be developed by the process of the uncertainty of raw data and the adjustment of errors in data by learning. Among the suggested models, the performance of the neural network model was better than that of the fuzzy reasoning model. The suggested models can evaluate the safety of signalized intersections in operation and/or planning, and ultimately contribute the reduction of accidents.

  • This study was developed the home network system for the home stay care by bio-sensor system to translate the physical signal algorithm. The composition algorithm has five functions for a input function, frequency variable, displacement point input function, axial Variable, axial Sway Displacement to search a max and min point with adjustment of 0.01 unit in the reference level. There were checked physical condition of body balance to compounded a measurement such as a heart rate, temperature, weight. The algorithm of home network system can be used to support health care management system through health assistants in health care center and central health care system. It was expected to monitor a physical parameter for health management system.

  • This study was realized the home network system for home care by bio-physical sensor system, to convey for the remote physical signal. The composition condition has four functions of displacement point for a Vision, Somatosensory, Vestibular and CNS that the basic measurement used to a Heart Rate, Temperature, Weight. Physical signal are decided to search a max and min point with adjustment of 0.01 unit in the reference level. There were checked physical condition of body balance to compounded a physical neuroceptor of sensory organ for the measurement such as a Vision, Somatosensory, Vestibular, CNS, BMI. There are to check a health care condition through a combination of physical organ with a posturography of a exercise. The service of home network system can be used to support health care management system through health assistants in health care center and central health care system. It was expected to monitor a physical parameter for the remote control health management system.

  • The present method of measuring QoE (Quality of Experience) was to measure the whole block from the server that provides service to the terminal that the client gets the service. In this way, it was possible to simply determine whether the quality of QoE was good or not, and when the quality of QoE became bad, there was no way of presenting solutions. Also, as QoE metrics are numerous, there has been no strict regulation on how to use. This study analyzed QoE metrics in the viewpoints of network and clients, subdivided the whole service into three phases including one from the server providing the service to the router, another from the router to the terminal getting the service, and the third from the service router to the client router, and presented QoE metric frames appropriate for each phase. Through this, in the KOREN-CERNET environment, this study designed and embodied QoE network and demonstrated stability of QoE network, reduction in client complaint settlement time, and content adjustment effect according to the network change.
