  • Implementing conventional DFT solution for arrays of DNN accelerators having large number of processing elements (PEs), without considering architectural characteristics of PEs may incur overwhelming test overheads. Recent DFT based techniques have utilized the homogeneity and dataflow of arrays at PE-level and Core-level for obtaining reduction in; test pattern volume, test time, test power and ATPG runtime. This paper reviews these contemporary test solutions for ASIC based DNN accelerators. Mainly, the proposed test architectures, pattern application method with their objectives are reviewed. It is observed that exploitation of architectural characteristic such as homogeneity and dataflow of PEs/ arrays results in reduced test overheads.

  • Network-on-chip (NoC) is an emerging design paradigm intended to cope with future systems-on-chips (SoCs) containing numerous built-in cores. Since NoCs have some outstanding features regarding design complexity, timing, scalability, power dissipation and so on, widespread interest in this novel paradigm is likely to grow. The test strategy is a significant factor in the practicality and feasibility of NoC-based SoCs. Among the existing test issues for NoC-based SoCs, test access mechanism architecture and test scheduling particularly dominate the overall test performance. In this paper, we propose an efficient NoC-based SoC test scheduling algorithm based on a rectangle packing approach used for current SoC tests. In order to adopt the rectangle packing solution, we designed specific methods and configurations for testing NoC-based SoCs, such as test packet routing, test pattern generation, and absorption. Furthermore, we extended and improved the proposed algorithm using multiple test clocks. Experimental results using some ITC'02 benchmark circuits show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the overall test time by up to 55%, and 20% on average compared with previous works. In addition, the computation time of the algorithm is less than one second in most cases. Consequently, we expect the proposed scheduling algorithm to be a promising and competitive method for testing NoC-based SoCs.

  • This study aims to analyze the accuracy for feasibility study of Network-RTK(VRS) surveying inside and outside of Korean CORS network. The southwest coast of Korea where some part of mainland and islands are outside of CORS network is chosen as the test area. To evaluate the accuracy of VRS surveying at surveying points, several Unified Control Points (UCPs) inside and outside of Korean CORS network were selected as the points in the test area. The feasibility of VRS surveying was analyzed by investigating the errors related to the location of points inside and outside of CORS network and the difference of 3-dimensional coordinates observed on different date. As the results of this study, the orthometric height errors of points outside of CORS network based on KNGeoid14 were improved about 5.0 cm in RMSE in comparison with KNGeoid13. The height errors of VRS surveying were considered to be less relevant to the results from PDOP and number of satellites (GPS and GLONASS). However, the orthometric errors caused by the geoidal height of KNGeoid and the ellipsoidal height of VRS surveying at points located outside of CORS network need to be addressed carefully for control surveying. When a point surveyed twice on different date, the difference of the ellipsoidal height of the point outside of CORS network was larger than that of the point inside of CORS network.

  • In this paper, we proposed verification methods to prove the effectiveness of automatic test equipment (ATE) for weapon systems. Since the test results from the unproven ATE is not reliable and its use is limited as objective data, it is essential to verify the test equipment in order to guarantee the quality level of the unit under test (UUT). Through the suggested methods, it is applied to the ATE of the tactical information communications network (TICN) system to confirm the verification results and to describe the validation results.

  • "Ubiquitous sensor network" definition is this-Someone attaches electro-magnetic tag everything which needs communication between man to man, man to material and material to material(Ubiquitous). By using attached every electro-magnetic tag, someone detects it's native information as well as environmental information such as temperature, humidity, pollution and infiltration information(Sensor). someone connects it realtime network and manage generated information(Network). 21st century's war is joint combined operation connecting with ground, sea and air smoothly in digitalized war field, and is systematic war provided realtime information from sensor to shooter. So, it needs dramatic development on watch reconnaissance, command and control, pinpoint strike etc. Ubiquitous computing and network technologies are essential in national defense to operate 21st century style war. It is possible to use many parts such as USN combined smart dust and sensor network to protect friend unit as well as to watch enemy's deep area by unmanned reconnaissance, wearable computer upgrading soldier's operational ability and combat power dramatically, RFID which can be used material management as well as on time support. Especially, unmanned watch system using USN is core part to transit network centric military service and to get national defense efficiency which overcome the dilemma of national defense person resource reducing, and upgrade guard quality level, and improve combat power by normalizing guardian's bio rhythm. According to the test result of sensor network unmanned watch system, it needs more effort and time to stabilize because of low USN technology maturity and using maturity. In the future, USN unmanned watch system project must be decided the application scope such as application area and starting point by evaluating technology maturity and using maturity. And when you decide application scope, you must consider not only short period goal as cost reduction, soldier decrease and guard power upgrade but also long period goal as advanced defense ability strength. You must build basic infra in advance such as light cable network, frequency allocation and power facility etc. First of all, it must get budget guarantee and driving force for USN unmanned watch system project related to defense policy. You must forwarded the USN project assuming posses of operation skill as procedure, system, standard, training in advance. Operational skill posses is come from step by step application strategy such as test phase, introduction phase, spread phase, stabilization phase and also repeated test application taking example project.

  • The compressive strength of concrete is commonly used criterion in producing concrete. However, the tests on the compressive strength are complicated and time-consuming. More importantly, it is too late to make improvement even if the test result does not satisfy the required strength, since the test is usually performed at the 28th day after the placement of concrete at the construction site. Therefore, accurate and realistic strength estimation before the placement of concrete is being highly required. In this study, the estimation of the compressive strength of concrete was performed by probabilistic neural network (PNN) on the basis of concrete mix proportions. The estimation performance of PNN was improved by considering the correlation between input data and targeted output value. Adaptive probabilistic neural network (APNN) was proposed to automatically calculate the smoothing parameter in the conventional PNN by using the scheme of dynamic decay adjustment algorithm. The conventional PNN and APNN were applied to predict the compressive strength of concrete using actual test data of a concrete company. APNN showed better results than the conventional PNN in predicting the compressive strength of concrete.

  • In Jeju Smart Grid field test, Zigbee technology is being used as one of customer side solutions for AMI. Although Zigbee networks that provides effective connectivity and control among devices are advantages in ease of implementation and use, the data can be exposed to cyber attacks such as eavesdrop, unauthorized data dissemination and forgery. Currently authentication and confidentiality services are provided with the network and link keys generated based on public key pairs that are pre-installed in offline. However, the network is vulnerable once a hacker intrudes into a local network because operation and management policies for the generated keys are not well-established yet. In this paper, the vulnerability of the Zigbee security system in the customer side environment of Jeju Smart Grid field test is analyzed. Then, two-way authentication with the unique identifiers of devices and user-specific group management policies are proposed to resolve the vulnerability.

  • This paper describes test-pattern generation and it;s sequence for fan out-free Combinational logic network with multiple faults. The method for detecting multiple faults, in systematic way, is established by using characteristic graphs. This method is applied even in the case of fan out-reconvergent combinational logic networks. In this case, the network is decomposed into a set of fan out-free sybnetworks so as to use the characteristic graphs, and minimal test patterns are generated seperately. The each test set is combined and the test pattern for fan out-reconvergent networks are derived. According to corresponding characteristic graph, additional test patterns to detect multiple faults are simply derived.
