  • Ad-hoc is the wireless network and consists of moving Hosts in environments which don't have a network-based Frame. Because ad-hoc is considered as broadcast network and network which has useful benefits, multicast muting protocols have been studied on ad-hoc network For this work we scrutinized ad-hoc and multicast routing protocols presented in previous works. And we presents a protocol for Ad-hoc network.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a XCP (Xeline Control Protocol) network system. XCP is an information oriented protocol which delivers information with high reliability according to the predefined rule. The XCP network system is implemented with partly hardware and partly software based on the power line communication(PLC) environment. A network management tool which interacts with devices is also developed. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed architecture, the implemented XCP network system is evaluated using a lighting control system.

  • Sensor networks and car networks that have different structure from that of conventional TCP/IP network require extreme network environment due to frequent change of connectivity. Because such extreme network environment has characteristics like unreliable link connectivity, long delay time, asymmetrical data transfer rate, and high error rate, etc., it is difficult to perform normally with the conventional TCP/P-based routing. DTNs (delay and disruption tolerant network) was designed to support data transfer in extreme network environment with long delay time and no guarantee for continuous connectivity between terminals. This study suggests an algorithm that limits the maximum number of copying transferred message to L by improving the spray and wait routing protocol, which is one of the conventional DTNs routing protocols, and using the azimuth and density data of the mobile nods. The suggested algorithm was examined by using ONE, a DTNs simulator. As a result, it could reduce the delay time and overhead of unnecessary packets compared to the conventional spray and wait routing protocol.

  • Latency, an identified element of Internet protocol (IP) mobility protocol execution, can reduce handover performance in mobile networks. Although the performance can be improved by applying an effective network-based IP mobility scheme in place of the traditional host-based alternatives, the existing inter-domain extensions of network-based IP mobility continue to suffer from an extended handover latency. This paper proposes a new inter-domain network-based IP mobility scheme based on node movement prediction. The proposed scheme accelerates the handover by preparing the future domain of the mobile node in a proactive manner. Analytical and simulation-based evaluations confirm improved performance of the proposed scheme in terms of handover latency and packet loss compared with existing schemes.

  • In the previous work, we dealt with a traffic analysis of network-based control system and its architecture using the CAN protocol. It is difficult to determine an optimal network architecture for a specific system. In this paper, we propose the architecture of network-based control system applicable to a specific AGV system with manipulator arms. We define the fixed number of periodic messages to be occurred in this system. In the proposed system architecture, we analyse its traffic for the real-time communication of all messages, determine the optimal sampling period of an analog sensor to be satisfied with the required specification and the number of possible sensors to be added through simulation.

  • Requirements for Device Networks differ greatly from those of typical data networks. Specifically, any device network technology which employs a fieldbus protocol is different from IP network protocol TCP/IP. In general, one needs to integrate fieldbus protocol and TCP/IP to realize device network over IP network or internet. Interoperability between devices and equipments is essential to enhance the quality and the performance of predictive maintenance(PM). This paper suggests a basic framework for web-based predicted maintenance and a method to guarantee interoperability between devices and equipments.

  • Wireless sensor networks consist of sensor nodes which are expected to be battery-powered and hard to replace or recharge. Thus, reducing the energy consumption of sensor nodes is an important design consideration in wireless sensor networks. For the implementation of energy-efficient MAC protocol, Sensor-MAC based on IEEE 802.11 protocol. In this paper, which has energy efficient scheduling, was proposed. In this paper, we propose Dynamic S-MAC that is dynamically operated by network-traffic states. Dynamic S-MAC protocol improves energy consumption of S-MAC due to change the frame length according to network-traffic states. Using NS-2 Simulation, we compare the performance of Dynamic S-MAC with S-MAC protocol.

  • We propose a network node search scheme to address the network fragmentation due to high node mobility in the VANET. VANET is very similar to MANET in that a multi-hop ad-hoc network is configured by wireless communication between vehicles without any network infrastructure. However, high speed mobility, high node density, and frequent topology change induce frequent network fragmentation so that overall network traffic can be increased. In this paper, new broadcasting protocol called an adaptive relay node search protocol is proposed to decrease the network fragmentation. It reduces the network fragmentation and network traffic by researching nodes outside the dangerous area only in case of network fragmentation. Simulation results show that the proposed protocol decreases network fragmentation by up to 39.9% and increase informed rate by up to 41.9% compared to the existing broadcasting protocol.

  • The purpose of this research is to extend Ad-hoc network system lifetime with the proposed routing protocol which has considered hop lifetimes of the nodes while guaranteeing QoS in the establishment process of Ad-hoc network communication paths. Based on another power aware routing system that proposed in the advanced research [1], we are proposing an alternative power aware routing system in which nodes' hop lifetimes are compared in order to extend the lifetime of an Ad-hoc network system and delay factors have been considered for the assurance of QoS. The research of the routing protocol in this paper, which aims to maximize the system survival time considering power consumption status during the path searching in MANET and pursues the mechanism that controls hop delays for the same reason, can be applied to the study of WSN. The study concerning such phenomena is essential so that the proposed protocol has been simulated and verified with NS-2 in Linux system focusing on the lifetimes of the hops of the nodes. Commercialization of smart devices and arrival of the ubiquitous age has brought about the world where all the people and things are connected with networks. Since the proposed power aware method and the hop delay control mechanism used to find the adequate communication paths in MANET which mainly uses batteries or in WSN, they can largely contribute to the lifetime extension of the network system by reducing power consumptions when utilized for the communications attempts among soldiers during military operation, disaster areas, temporary events or exhibitions, mobile phone shadow areas, home networks, in-between vehicle communications and sense networks, etc. This paper presents the definitions and some advantages regarding the proposed outing protocol that sustain and extend the lifetime of the networks.
