  • Network security infrastructure is constantly developing based on the combination and blending of various types of devices. From the form of distributed control, the phased defense policy such as fire walls, virtual private communication network, invasion prevention system, invasion detection system, corporate security management, and TSM (Telebiometrics System Mechanism), now it consolidates security devices and solutions to be developed to the step of concentration and artificial intelligence. Therefore, this article suggests network security infrastructure design types concentrating security devices and solutions as platform types and provides network security infrastructure design selecting methodology, the foundational data to standardize platform design according to each situation so as to propose methodology that can realize and build the design which is readily applied and realized in the field and also can minimize the problems by controlling the interferences from invasion.

An OS Platform Independent Architecture of Web-based Teleoperation for mobile robot

  • The teleoperation system applies all of the industrial fields due to the development of the network infrastructure. It is one of the indispensable elements for controlling the robot at a remote sight and monitoring the limit or unknown environment. The common teleoperation robot system is what has the visual module to supply the network system and realistic UI to the existed robot system. Therefore, remarked that the fusion between modules and transmission of visual data the remarked the important element to improve the robot application in the various environments. Delay of development time by robot platform and noneffective communication among developers are also problem to approach. In this paper we propose the independent teleoperation system. The main application language is JAVA in this system, which is applied JAVA API like JNI and JMF to construct the effective teleoperation system. The system has the both side communication system between sever and client as a basic structure. The visual data that is attached the robot at a remote sight is captured by JMF API and then is transmitted to the web browser called client by RTR protocol. JNI is used to connect between JAVA and the lower part application (sensor fusion, motion control.) of the robot programmed by various Native languages. The proposed system is the application that can perform the elements, for instance transmission of visual data, the fusion of various native application modules and the effective network communication, with any platform.

  • TCN(train communication network) standard was approved in 1999 by the IEC (IEC 61375-1) and IEEE (IEEE 1473-T) organizations to warrant a reliable train and equipment interoperability. TCN defines the set of communication vehicle buses and train buses. The MVB(multifunction vehicle bus) defines the data communication interface of equipment located in a vehicle and the WTB(wire train bus) defines the data communication interface between vehicles. The WTB and each MVB will be connected over a node acting as gateway. Also, to support applications demanding a high reliability, the standard defines a redundancy scheme in which the bus may be double-line and redundant-node implemented. In this paper we have presented protocol analysis platform for the WTB redundancy which is part of TCN system, to verify communication state of high-speed trains. As a confirmation of its validity, the technology described in this paper has been successfully applied to state monitoring and protocol verification of redundancy WTB based on TCN.

  • This paper is to implement MoIP platform to send and receive video and audio at the same time by using high-performance Dual Core Processor. Even if Wall-Pad key component of a home network system is released by using embedded processors, it's lacking of performance in terms of multimedia processing and feature of video telephony through which video and voice are exchanged simultaneously. The main reason could be that embedded processors currently being used do not provide enough performance to support both MoIP call features and various home network features simultaneously. In order to solve these problems, Dual processor could be used, but in the other hands it brings another disadvantage of high cost. Therefore, this study is to solve the home automation features and video telephony features by using Dual Core Processor based on ARM 11 Processor and implement the MoIP Wall-Pad which can reduce the board design costs and component costs, and improve performance. The platform designed and implemented in this paper verified performance of MoIP to exchange the video and voice at the same time under the situation of Ethernet network.

  • Platform is considered as an alternative strategy to the traditional linear pipeline based business. Moreover, in the 4th industrial revolution period, efficiency driven pipeline business model needs to be changed to platform business. We have such success stories about platform as Apple, Google, Amazon, Uber, and so on. However, for those smaller corporations, it is not easy to find out the transformation strategy. The essence of platform business is to leverage network effect in management. Thus platform based management can be rephrased as network management across the business functions. Research on platform business is popular and related to diverse facets. But few scholars cover what the research trend of the domain is. The main purpose of this paper is to identify the research trend on platform business in Korea. To do that we first propose the analytical model for platform architecture whose components are consumers, suppliers, artifacts, and IT platform system. We conjecture that mapping of the research work on platform to the components of the model will make us understand the hidden domain of platform research. We propose three hypotheses regarding the characteristics of research and one proposition for the transitional path from pipeline to platform business model. The mapping is based on the research articles filtered from the Korea Citation Index, using keyword search. Research papers are searched through the keywords provided by authors using the word of "platform". The filtered articles are summarized in terms of the attributes such as major component of platform considered, platform type, main purpose of the research, and research method. Using the filtered data, we test the hypotheses in exploratory ways. The contribution of our research is as follows: First, based on the findings, scholars can find the areas of research on the domain: areas where research has been matured and territory where future research is actively sought. Second, the proposition provided can give business practitioners the guideline for changing their strategy from pipeline to platform oriented. This research needs to be considered as exploratory not inferential since subjective judgments are involved in data collection, classification, and interpretation of research articles.

A Common Platform for An Internal-Based Mobile Robot and Its Operator Terminal (인터넷 기반의 이동 로봇과 조종 단말기를 위한 공용 플랫폼 개발)

  • This paper proposes a common platform for an internet-based mobile robot and its operator terminal. The common platform can reduce the cost and time to develop an internet-based robot and its operator terminal. The robot performs the role of a server and its terminal a client. One operator can use this terminal to make a command and this command can be sent to the robot through a wireless network. According to given commands, the robot moves a point and sends an image by using a camera or desired information by using other sensors. The information sent from the robot can help an operator to control the robot. The mobile robot consists of two modules, main module and motion module. Main module can exchange information with the operator terminal, process information, and send a command to motion module. Each application program for one internet-based mobile robot and its operator terminal will be developed to show that the same platform can be used for them. Also, it will be shown that the robot can be controlled easily by using its operator terminal.

  • Accompanying the Internet of Things (IoT) is a demand of advanced applications and services utilizing the potential of the IoT environment. Monitoring the environment for a provision of context-aware services to the human beings is one of the new trends in our future life. The IoTivity Cloud is one of the most notable open-source platform bringing an opportunity to collect, analyze, and interpret a huge amount of data available in the IoT environment. Based on the IoTivity Cloud, we aim to develop a novel platform for comprehensive monitoring of a future network, which facilitates on-demand data collection to enable the network behavior prediction and the quality of user experience maintenance. In consideration of performance evaluation of the monitoring platform, this paper presents results of a preliminary test on the data acquisition/supply process in the IoTivity Cloud.

  • In general, the high cost, long time, and complex steps are required in the design and implementation of MPSoC(Multi-Processor System on a Chip), therefore a platform is used to test the functionality and performance of IPs(Intellectual Properties). In this paper, we study a platform architecture to verify IPs based on Interconnect Network among processors, and show that the MPSoC platform gives better performance than a single processor for an application program.

  • In medical area, lots of information has been digitized and the desire of personnel health became a matter of primary concern. To satisfy this desire it requires the high-speed handhold Healthcare monitering platform for building U-health system. This paper represents that the implementation of s3c6000 platform with s3c6400 CPU using up-to-date ARM11 technology. This parer also represents building of network system with wireless LAN based on 802.11 in order to transmit medical data. Transmitting and monitoring personnel medical data will be possible in any place with wireless LAN network.
