Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) is a network-based mobility support protocol and it does not require Mobile Nodes (MNs) to be involved in the mobility support signaling. In the case when multiple interfaces are active in an MN simultaneously, each data flow can be dynamically allocated to and redirected between different access networks to adapt to the dynamically changing network status and to balance the workload. Such a flow redistribution control is called "flow mobility". In the existing PMIPv6-based flow mobility support, although the MN's logical interface can solve the well-known problems of flow mobility in a heterogeneous network, some missing procedures, such as an MN-derived flow handover, make PMIPv6-based flow mobility incomplete. In this paper, an enhanced flow mobility support is proposed for actualizing the flow mobility support in PMIPv6. The proposed scheme is also based on the MN's logical interface, which hides the physical interfaces from the network layer and above. As new functional modules, the flow interface manager is placed at the MN's logical interface and the flow binding manager in the Local Mobility Anchor (LMA) is paired with the MN's flow interface manager. They manage the flow bindings, and select the proper access technology to send packets. In this paper, we provide the complete flow mobility procedures which begin with the following three different triggering cases: the MN's new connection/disconnection, the LMA's decision, and the MN's request. Simulation using the ns-3 network simulator is performed to verify the proposed procedures and we show the network throughput variation caused by the network offload using the proposed procedures.
Recently, mobile devices have supported wireless LAN as well as bluetooth, where the services such as heterogeneous network access and seamless mobility connection are important. Even though the mobility and physical network might be varied, an efficient communication mechanism for the network access and a robust mobility management of mobile devices are needed. In this paper, we design and implement a Bluetooth system with mobile LAN access capability. The proposed system has the following features; 1) IP connection is enabled by BENP in the link layer, 2) The networks devices of heterogeneous mobile devices are integrated into a single virtual network interface, 3) IP mobility between the bluetooth and wireless LAN is supported by mobile IP. The experimented results show that the packet loss and delay time during the handover duration is reduced by predicting the handover among different networks followed by the setup of any required parameters in advance.
Latency, an identified element of Internet protocol (IP) mobility protocol execution, can reduce handover performance in mobile networks. Although the performance can be improved by applying an effective network-based IP mobility scheme in place of the traditional host-based alternatives, the existing inter-domain extensions of network-based IP mobility continue to suffer from an extended handover latency. This paper proposes a new inter-domain network-based IP mobility scheme based on node movement prediction. The proposed scheme accelerates the handover by preparing the future domain of the mobile node in a proactive manner. Analytical and simulation-based evaluations confirm improved performance of the proposed scheme in terms of handover latency and packet loss compared with existing schemes.
Two mechanical networks, mobility network, and impedance network, are proposed md the relations between a mechanical system n4 their two mechanical networks are examined briefly. The mobility network is founed to be more natural of two networks. This paper also shows the invariant property of mobility elements in the measurement procedure.

Distributed mobility management (DMM) does not use a centralized device. Its mobility functions are distributed among routers; therefore, the mobility services are not limited to the performance and reliability of specific mobility management equipment. The DMM scheme has been studied as a partially distributed architecture, which distributes only a packet delivery domain in combination with the software defined network (SDN) technology that separates the packet delivery and control areas. Particularly, a separated control area is advantageous in introducing a new service, thereby optimizing the network by recognizing the entire network situation and taking an optimal decision. The SDN-based mobility management scheme is studied as a method to optimize the packet delivery path whenever a mobile node moves; however, it results in excessive signaling processing cost. To reduce the high signaling cost, we propose a hybrid distributed mobility management method and analyze its performance mathematically.
The tactical network has several different characteristics compared with commercial internet network such as hierarchical topology, dynamic topology changing and wireless link based connectivity. For considering IP mobility management in the tactical network, current mobility management using Mobile IP(MIP) is not suitable with some reasons such as non-optimal routing paths and single point of failure. Proxy Mobile IP(PMIP) which supporting network-based mobility in hierarchical manner can provide optimal routing path in the tactical network environment, but centralized anchor is still remained a threat to the stability of the tactical network which changes its topology dynamically. In this paper, we propose PMIP-based distributed mobility management for the tactical network environment. From our design, routing paths are always configured in optimized way, as well as path is recovered quickly when the mobility anchor of user is failed. From numerical analysis, comparing to other mobility scheme, result shows that the proposed scheme can reduce packet transmission cost and latency in tactical network model.
