Nucleophilic Substitution Reactions of Y-Substituted-Phenyl Benzoates with Potassium Ethoxide in Anhydrous Ethanol: Reaction Mechanism and Role of K+ Ion

  • Pseudo-first-order rate constants ($k_{obsd}$) have been measured spectrophotometrically for the reactions of Y-substituted-phenyl benzoates (5a-j) with potassium ethoxide (EtOK) in anhydrous ethanol at $25.0{\pm}0.1^{\circ}C$. The plots of $k_{obsd}$ vs. [EtOK] curve upward regardless of the electronic nature of the substituent Y in the leaving group. Dissection of $k_{obsd}$ into the second-order rate constants for the reactions with the dissociated $EtO^-$ and ion-paired EtOK (i.e., $k_{EtO^-}$ and $k_{EtOK}$, respectively) has revealed that the ion-paired EtOK is more reactive than the dissociated $EtO^-$. The Br${\phi}$nsted-type plots for the reactions with the dissociated $EtO^-$ and ion-paired EtOK exhibit highly scattered points with ${\beta}_{lg}$ = -$0.5{\pm}0.1$. The Hammett plots correlated with ${\sigma}^o$ constants result in excellent linear correlations, indicating that no negative charge develops on the O atom of the leaving Y-substituted-phenoxide ion in transition state. Thus, it has been concluded that the reactions with the dissociated $EtO^-$ and ion-paired EtOK proceed through a stepwise mechanism, in which departure of the leaving group occurs after the RDS, and that $K^+$ ion catalyzes the reactions by increasing the electrophilicity of the reaction center through a four-membered cyclic TS structure.

대규모 평지형 공원 내 거리별 공기이온 평가 - 서울시 송파구 올림픽공원을 사례로 - (Evaluation of Air Ion According to the Distance in Large Flat Park - Focused on Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul -)

  • 불투수포장면적의 증가는 도심지 내 열환경 악화, 물순환체계 단절 등의 문제점과 더불어 인간의 여러 가지 신체적·정신적 질병에 원인이 되기도 한다. 이에 도시공원 내 거리에 따른 공기이온 실태와 거리별 기상요소 및 공기이온과의 상관성을 분석하여, 향후 도심지 내 대규모 도시공원 조성 혹은 리모델링에 있어서 기후적 측면의 건강성을 고려한 도시공원 조성의 기초자료로 제시하고자 하였다. 연구대상지는 서울시 송파구 올림픽공원을 대상으로 거리에 따라 4개 유형으로 구분한 뒤, 구간을 A, B로 분류하였다. 측정지점은 80지점을 선정한 후 토지피복 및 식생현황을 조사한 후 기상요소, 공기이온을 측정하였다. 첫째, 구간별 녹지율은 A구간 Center(90%) > Inner(70%) > Outer-inner(10%) = Outer(10%), B구간 Center(100%) > Inner(60%) > Outer-inner(30%) > Outer(0%) 순이었다. 둘째, 기상요소의 경우 기온의 경우 Outer(24.18℃) > Outer-inner(22.90℃) > Inner(22.43℃) > Center(21.719℃)으로 분석되었으며, 상대습도의 경우 Center(46.49%) > Inner(43.36%) > Outer-inner(42.41%) > Outer(38.53%)으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 공기이온 중 양이온의 경우 Outer(435.71ea/㎤) > Outer-inner(415.16ea/㎤) > Inner(389.46ea/㎤) > Center(352.64ea/㎤)의 순이었으며, 음이온의 경우 Center(569.72ea/㎤) > Inner(499.83ea/㎤) > Outer-inner(410.58ea/㎤) > Outer(292.02ea/㎤) 순으로 Center로 갈수록 증가하는 것으로 분석되었으며, 도로와 가까워질수록 감소하는 것으로 분석되었다. 이온지수의 경우 Center(1.67) > Inner(1.31) > Outer-inner(1.08) > Outer(0.71)으로 분석되었다. 넷째, 상관성 분석결과 정(+)의 상관인 것은 음이온, 이온지수로 도로로부터 공원 Center로 갈수록 증가하는 것으로 분석되었으며, 부(-)의 상관인 것은 기온, 일사량, 양이온으로 도로와 가까워질수록 증가하는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • 리튬이온 이차전지는 리튬이온이 이동하면서 전기화학적 충방전사이클을 완성하는 에너지변환장치를 의미한다. 리튬이온 이차전지는 높은 에너지밀도와 낮은 자가방전률, 상대적으로 긴 수명주기 등 다양한 장점을 갖는다. 최근 전기차 수요증가는 고용량 리튬이온 이차전지 개발을 촉진하고 있으나 음극에서의 dendrite 형성으로 인한 전기적 단락 현상과 전지 폭발 문제와 같은 심각한 안전문제를 야기한다. 또한, 리튬이온 이차전지 구동시 상승된 온도에서 폴리올레핀계열(예 : 폴리에틸렌과 폴리프로필렌) 격리막의 열수축 문제가 발생한다. 이와 같이 낮은 열 안정성은 리튬이온 이차전지의 성능과 수명의 감소로 이어진다. 본 연구에서는 폴리올레핀계열 함침격리막 제조를 위한 중요한 소재로서 술폰화 폴리아릴렌에테르술폰 랜덤 공중합체를 사용하였으며, 제조된 격리막을 이용하여 dendrite 형성과 관련된 금속이온 흡착 능력과 리튬이온전도성, 열적 내구성이 평가되었다.

Rhodobacter sphaeroides의 질소고정효소에 미치는 암모니움 이온 효과 제거를 통한 수소생성 증진 (Improvement of Photoheterotrophic $H_2$ production of Rhodobacter sphaeroides by Removing Ammonium Ion Effect Exerted on Nitrogenase)

  • Rhodobacter sphaeroides는 photoheterotrophic 조건에서 성장을 하면서 질소고정효소인 nitrogenase에 의해 수소를 발생시킨다. 이 nitrogenase는 ammonium ion이 존재할 때, PII 계열 단백질인 GlnB와 GlnK에 의해 negative regulation을 받게 된다. 본 연구에서는 glnB와 glnK 유전자를 interruption하여 수소생성의 증진을 꾀하였다. 그 결과, parental strain이나 glnB 혹은 glnK 유전자 하나만을 interruption 시켰을 경우, 암모니움 이온에 의해 nitrogenase 활성이 저해를 받고 있었으나, glnB, glnK 모두를 interruption 시켰을 때, 암모니움 이온에 의한 저해 효과가 줄어드는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 또한 이러한 glnB-glnK double mutant에 nifDK gene을 in trans로 넣어 nitrogenase의 dosage를 높였을 경우, 수소 생성이 약 30% 가량 증진되었다는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

72.5 Ah NCM계 파우치형 리튬이온배터리의 표면온도 상승률이 열폭주 발생시간에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis of Effect of Surface Temperature Rise Rate of 72.5 Ah NCM Pouch-type Lithium-ion Battery on Thermal Runaway Trigger Time)

  • With the convergence of the information and communication technologies, a new age of technological civilization has arrived. This is the age of intelligent revolution, known as the 4th industrial revolution. The 4th industrial revolution is based on technological innovations, such as robots, big data analysis, artificial intelligence, and unmanned transportation facilities. This revolution would interconnect all the people, things, and economy, and hence will lead to the expansion of the industry. A high-density, high-capacity energy technology is required to maintain this interconnection. As a next-generation energy source, lithium-ion batteries are in the spotlight today. However, lithium-ion batteries can cause thermal runaway and fire because of electrical, thermal, and mechanical abuse. In this study, thermal runaway was induced in 72.5 Ah NCM pouch-type lithium-ion batteries because of thermal abuse. The surface of the pouch-type lithium-ion batteries was heated by the hot plate heating method, and the effect of the rate of increase in the surface temperature on the thermal runaway trigger time was analyzed using Minitab 19, a statistical analysis program. The correlation analysis results confirmed that there existed a strong negative relationship between each variable, while the regression analysis demonstrated that the thermal runaway trigger time of lithium-ion batteries can be predicted from the rate of increase in their surface temperature.

방전전압에 따른 리튬 이온 2차전지용 음극물질의 전기화학적 특성 (The electrochemical Characteristics on the Anode Material of Lithium Ion Secondary Batteries with Discharge Voltage)

  • A lithium ion secondary battery using carbon as a negative electrode has been developed. Further improvements to increase the cell capacity are expected by modifying the structure of the carbonaceous material. There are hopes for the development of large capacity lithium ion secondary batteries with long cycle, high energy density, high power density, and high energy efficiency. In the present paper, needle cokes from petroleum were examined as an anode of lithium ion secondary battery. Petroleum cokes, MCL(Molten Caustic Leaching) treated in Korea Institute Energy Research, were carbonized at various temperatures of 0, 500, 700, $19700^{\circ}C$ at heating rate of $2^{\circ}C$/min for lh. The electrolyte was used lM liPF6 EC/DEC (1:1). The voltage range of charge & discharge was 0.0V(0.05V) ~ 2.0V. The treated petroleum coke at $700^{\circ}C$ had an initial capacity over 560mAh.g which beyond the theoretical maximum capacity, 372mAh/g for LiC6. This phenomena suggests that carbon materials with disordered structure had higher cell capacity than that the graphitic carbon materials.

Strain-Relaxed SiGe Layer on Si Formed by PIII&D Technology

  • Strain-relaxed SiGe layer on Si substrate has numerous potential applications for electronic and opto- electronic devices. SiGe layer must have a high degree of strain relaxation and a low dislocation density. Conventionally, strain-relaxed SiGe on Si has been manufactured using compositionally graded buffers, in which very thick SiGe buffers of several micrometers are grown on a Si substrate with Ge composition increasing from the Si substrate to the surface. In this study, a new plasma process, i.e., the combination of PIII&D and HiPIMS, was adopted to implant Ge ions into Si wafer for direct formation of SiGe layer on Si substrate. Due to the high peak power density applied the Ge sputtering target during HiPIMS operation, a large fraction of sputtered Ge atoms is ionized. If the negative high voltage pulse applied to the sample stage in PIII&D system is synchronized with the pulsed Ge plasma, the ion implantation of Ge ions can be successfully accomplished. The PIII&D system for Ge ion implantation on Si (100) substrate was equipped with 3'-magnetron sputtering guns with Ge and Si target, which were operated with a HiPIMS pulsed-DC power supply. The sample stage with Si substrate was pulse-biased using a separate hard-tube pulser. During the implantation operation, HiPIMS pulse and substrate's negative bias pulse were synchronized at the same frequency of 50 Hz. The pulse voltage applied to the Ge sputtering target was -1200 V and the pulse width was 80 usec. While operating the Ge sputtering gun in HiPIMS mode, a pulse bias of -50 kV was applied to the Si substrate. The pulse width was 50 usec with a 30 usec delay time with respect to the HiPIMS pulse. Ge ion implantation process was performed for 30 min. to achieve approximately 20 % of Ge concentration in Si substrate. Right after Ge ion implantation, ~50 nm thick Si capping layer was deposited to prevent oxidation during subsequent RTA process at $1000^{\circ}C$ in N2 environment. The Ge-implanted Si samples were analyzed using Auger electron spectroscopy, High-resolution X-ray diffractometer, Raman spectroscopy, and Transmission electron microscopy to investigate the depth distribution, the degree of strain relaxation, and the crystalline structure, respectively. The analysis results showed that a strain-relaxed SiGe layer of ~100 nm thickness could be effectively formed on Si substrate by direct Ge ion implantation using the newly-developed PIII&D process for non-gaseous elements.

변형에 강인한 내용기반 동영상 검색방법 (Modification-robust contents based motion picture searching method)

  • 동영상 내용검색을 위해서 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 기술은 컷 추출에 의한 내용비교 방법이다. 그러나 컷 추출을 위해 사용되는 CHD(Color Histogram Difference)나 ECR(Edge Change Ratio)등은 영상물의 Cropping, Resizing Low bit rate등의 변화에 대해 대단히 취약하다. 본 방법은 이러한 변형에 강인하도록 상대적으로 변형이 적은 오디오정보를 이용하여 Indexing과 Searching을 수행하였다. 특히 변형에 강인한 Searching을 위해 오디오의 장면(Scene)을 검출하였고 장면을 중심으로 Time-frequency domain에서 각각의 Frequency bin. 에 대한 스펙트럴 파워를 파워임계값을 중심으로 이진화(Binary)하였다. 제안된 방법으로 Cropping, clipping, Lowbit rate, Additive Frame 등의 변형본에 대한 검색을 시도한 결과 False posit ive Error 와 True Negative Error 에 대해 각각 1%미만의 오탐지 결과를 얻었다.

In this case, many crew took the pain of back spain or deposit the his fatigue, This will be decrease the productivity owing to crew's back spain or fatigue etc. In this study researched the problem of ship's bed mattress and the principle of Well being air mattress in technical standard etc. Specially decreased some kinds of bacillus, germ and many kinds of bacteria by using of tourmaline which emitted the far red light and negative ion from surface of the mattress. We developed and applied the ship's Well being air mattress to off shore and various kind of ship by International Labour Organization convention 192.
