We have investigated the effect of light on amorphous silicon thin film transistors based photo-sensor applications. We have analyzed the instability caused by electrical gate bias stresses under the light illumination and the effect of photo-induced quasi-annealing on the instability. Threshold voltage ($V_{TH}$) under the negative gate bias stress with light illumination was more decreased than that under the negative gate bias stress without light illumination even though $V_{TH}$ caused by the light-induced stress without negative gate bias was shifted positively. These results are because the increase of carrier density in a channel region caused by the light illumination has the enhanced effect on the instability caused by negative gate bias stress. The prolonged light illumination led to the recovery of shifted VTH caused by negative gate bias stress under the light illumination due to the recombination of trapped hole charges.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating effect of negative emotionality on the association between mother-child intimacy and peer acceptance based on differential susceptibility model. According to differential susceptibility model, negative emotionality and difficult temperament is potential differential susceptibility factors. The participants were 3-year-old children recruited from preschools and daycare centers. Teachers completed measurement of negative emotionality. Peer acceptance was measured by peer nomination. Mother-child intimacy was reported by mothers. The results presented that negative emotionality significantly moderated the relation between mother-child intimacy and peer acceptance only for boys. For boys with high level of negative emotionality, mother-child intimacy significantly predicted peer acception. However, for boys with low level of negative emotionality, mother-child intimacy did not associate with peer acception. For girls, negative emotionality did not significantly influence the association between mother-child intimacy and peer acceptance. These findings support differential susceptibility hypothesis that vulnerable children are susceptible to positive parenting effects.

In this paper, we report the effects of temperature on the deterioration of graphite-based negative electrodes during the longterm cycling of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). After cycling 75 Ah pouch-type LIB full cells at temperatures of 45℃ (45-Cell) and 25℃ (25-Cell) until their end of life, we expected to observe changes in the negative electrode according to the temperature. The thickness of the negative electrode of the cell was greater after cycling; that of the electrode of 45-Cell (144 ㎛) was greater than that of the electrode of 25-Cell (109 ㎛). Cross-sectional scanning electron microscopy analysis confirmed that by-products caused this increase in the thickness of the negative electrode. The by-products that formed on the surface of the negative electrode during cycling increased the surface resistance and decreased the electrical conductivity. Voltage profiles showed that the negative electrode of 25-Cell exhibited an 84.7% retention of the initial capacity, whereas that of 45-Cell showed only a 70.3% retention. The results of this study are expected to be relevant to future analyses of the deterioration characteristics of the negative electrode and battery deterioration mechanisms, and are also expected to provide basic data for advanced battery design.
Since it has been known that ryanodine has a potent negative inotropic effect on the cardiac muscle contractility (Jenden and Fairhurst, 1968), ryanodine has been a subject of intensive research (Frank and Sleator, 1975; Jones et al, 1978; Sutko et al, 1985). However, the underlying mechanism for the ryanodine dependent negative inotropic effect is still uncertain. In this study, the effects of ryanodine on the generation and relaxation of contracture due to Na-withdrawal and on the force-frequency relationship of heart muscles isolated from rats and guinea pigs were measured in an effort to understand the underlying mechanism of the ryanodine-induced negative inotropy. Results are summerized as follows: 1 ) Ryanodine significantly reduced the contractility of heart muscles produced at low frequency of stimulation, but showed a little effect on the contractility at high frequency stimulation. 2) Ryanodine, at the concentrations ranging from $10^{-6}\;M$ to $10^{-8}\;M$, had no significant effect on the Na-dependent relaxation of Na-withdrawl contracture. 3) Ryandoine significantly reduced the amplitude of the Na-withdrawl contracture, and this inhibitory effect was reinforced by procaine, antiagonized by caffeine and high potassium. From these results, it may be concluded that the negative inotropic effect of ryanodine is mainly due to an inhibition of calcium release from sarcoplasmic reticulum.
Purpose - This study examined the influence relationships between the impacts of tourism development, local attachment, and resident involvement and local residents' support and pro-environmental behavior intentions in Jeju Island. Design/methodology/approach - A questionnaire was distributed to the Jeju Island residents and 373 samples were used for the analysis. Findings - The results showed that the perceived positive impact of tourism development has a positive effect on local residents' support, while the negative impact has a negative effect. Local attachment has no significant effect on local residents' support, while local involvement positively affects local residents' support. The positive impact of tourism development has a negative effect on pro-environmental behavior intention, while the perceived negative impact has a positive effect. Finally, when analyzing the relationship between local attachment, local involvement, and local support for eco-friendly behavior intention, it was found that they all have a positive effect. Research implications or Originality - Theoretical and managerial implications and suggestions for future research are discussed.
The effective flange width was usually introduced into elementary beam theory to consider the shear lag effect in steel-concrete composite beams. Previous studies have primarily focused on the effective width under positive moments and elastic loading, whereas it is still not clear for negative moment cases in the normal service stages. To account for this problem, this paper proposed simplified formulas for the effective flange width and reinforcement stress of composite beams under negative moments in service stages. First, a 10-degree-of-freedom (DOF) fiber beam element considering the shear lag effect and interfacial slip effect was proposed, and a computational procedure was developed in the OpenSees software. The accuracy and applicability of the proposed model were verified through comparisons with experimental results. Second, a method was proposed for determining the effective width of composite beams under negative moments based on reinforcement stress. Employing the proposed model, the simplified formulas were proposed via numerical fitting for cases under uniform loading and centralized loading at the mid-span. Finally, based on the proposed formulas, a simplified calculation method for the reinforcement stress in service stages was established. Comparisons were made between the proposed formulas and design code. The results showed that the design code method greatly underestimated the contribution of concrete under negative moments, leading to notable overestimations in the reinforcement stress and crack width.

The purpose of this paper is to study renovation plan of value chain from a user's viewpoint by making practical application of digital technology in Korea and China. And it is surely meaningful to investigate the important motivation factors of continuous using smart-phone in two countries, and to analyze the improving effect toward to the quality of life in continuous using smart-phone. By this study we can expect the value improving effect of user experience. The results of hypothesis testing can be summarized as follows: First, the hypothesis that positive affect has a plus effect on pragmatic value is accepted in Korea and China. Secondly, the hypothesis that positive affect has a plus effect on hedonic value is accepted in two countries. Thirdly, the hypothesis that negative affect has a minus effect on pragmatic value is accepted in Korea, but rejected in China. Fourthly, the hypothesis that negative affect has a minus effect on hedonic value is accepted in two countries. Fifthly, the hypothesis that pragmatic value has a plus effect on life satisfaction is rejected in two countries. Sixthly, the hypothesis that hedonic value has a plus effect on life satisfaction is accepted in Korea, but rejected in China. Seventhly, the hypothesis that there is a difference in positive affect, negative affect, pragmatic value, hedonic value and life satisfaction between Korea and China is rejected in positive affect and negative affect, but accepted in pragmatic value, hedonic value and life satisfaction. In the competition among enterprises, user experience instead of goods themselves became influential as a differential factor. And many advanced enterprises began taking a serious view of customer's happiness and user experience improvement.
Background: This study is designed to estimate the factors that affect the level of three different performance (publicity, efficiency, profitability) among regional public hospitals. Methods: The units of analysis are the regional 30 hospitals, which have the operating data during 22 years (from 1933 to 2014). The research method is used by fixed panel analysis. The publicity is measured by medicaid outpatient proportion and medicaid inpatient proportion. The efficiency is measured by two types of efficient score by DEA (data envelopment analysis). The profitability is measured by medical income to medical revenue and ROA (return on total asset). Results: At first, the increase of bed gives negative affect to the publicity but give positive effect to the efficiency and profitability. Because it means the increase of the region population, it gives more profitability compare to hospital with small number of beds. The more the operating period is the higher effect to the publicity and efficiency because of it's refutation. The debt ratio gives negative effect to publicity, but positive effect to profitability. It is the normal belief that there is inverse relationship between publicity and profitability. The turnover rate of bed gives the negative affect to the publicity, but positive affect to the efficiency and profitability. That give us the implication that type of the inpatient make different effect the hospital performance. The ratio of labor cost give negative effect to all kind of performance. That means that the higher labor cost don't mean the higher publicity and labor cost control is very important factors to hospital performance. So the region hospital have to focus the labor factors more to make higher performance. Conclusion: As the conclusion, the independent variables give similar effect to the efficiency and the profitability, but give inverse effect to the publicity. That means that if an region hospital want to make the more publicity, it loss the higher efficiency and profitability. Specially publicity is higher negative relation with the profitability.
Previous researches have proven that corporate social responsibility(adhere CSR) is positively related to corporate performance. But Most of CSR related researches have several limitations. One of limitations is that those researches treated CSR as unidimensional construct. Almost researchers in the area of CSR concepts insisted that CSR is consist of multi dimensions. Carroll's four dimensions of CSR have been utilized by numerous academicians. Carroll asserted that CSR is composed of four dimensions: economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic responsibility. But Carroll's dimensions were revised as three dimensions by Schwartz and Carroll, because ethical and philanthropic responsibility are not mutually exclusive. If CSR construct is composed of multiple dimensions, a message related to one of dimensions changes beliefs or evaluations about other dimensions that are not mentioned in the message. This phenomenon is called as "spillover effect". According to Ahluwalia, Unnava, and Burnkrant, negative information spills over to attributes that are associated with the target attributes but not mentioned in the message. Like this, this preponderant effect of negative information over positive information has been termed the "negativity effect". In this paper, authors try to prove the spillover effect and negativity effect among Schwartz and Carroll's three dimensions(economic, legal, and ethical responsibility) of CSR. The results of this study show that messages related to legal and ethical responsibility cause spillover effect and influence consumers' evaluation to other dimensions. Moreover, when negativity effect is added on spillover effect, spillover effect is more increased. It means that negative messages related to legal and ethical responsibility is more harmful to corporate image than negative message related to economic responsibility. The results of this study will help companies to manage corporate image using CSR messages as marketing communication tools. Companies should manage messages related to legal and ethical responsibility for more efficiently managing corporate image. Specially, because negative messages related to legal and ethical responsibility are more harmful to corporate image, companies must take care not to spread out negative message related to legal and ethical responsibility. Finally, we discuss the implications of the findings and limitations.
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Emotional eating is one of the eating behaviors in which negative emotions affect eating. During the luteal phase, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and its associated psychological and physical symptoms can appear in some women, and a few of them suffer from premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), a severe form of PMS. Some women diagnosed with PMS/PMDD experience emotional eating during the luteal phase, which may be a coping mechanism for psychological stress. This study aimed to investigate how PMS/PMDD and negatively perceived stress are related to emotional eating. SUBJECTS/METHODS: A total of 409 women aged 20 to 39 yrs with a body mass index (BMI) ranging from 18.5 to 29.9 kg/m2 participated in this study. Participants who responded to all the questions of the Shortened Premenstrual Assessment Form, Negative Perceived Stress Scale, and Emotional Eater Questionnaire were divided into a PMDD and a non-PMDD group according to the cut-off value for PMDD diagnosis. Independent t-tests and mediation analyses were performed to compare the 2 groups. RESULTS: No significant differences between the 2 groups were found in terms of BMI; however, the average values for emotional eating, PMS, and negative perceived stress of the PMDD group were significantly higher than those of the non-PMDD group. Only negative perceived stress had a significant effect on emotional eating in the non-PMDD group. In the PMDD group, PMS was statistically significant for both negative perceived stress and emotional eating mediated by negative perceived stress. Consequently, it appeared to have a partial or complete mediation depending on the independent variable for the PMDD group. CONCLUSIONS: This study highlights the importance of managing negative perceived stress to control emotional eating in PMS/PMDD for improved women's health.
