  • 본 논문은 압전소자 발전기를 이용하여 하베스팅 에너지 발전량을 증대시키기 위한 에너지 하베스팅 방법을 제안하였다. 기존의 풀브리지 정류기만을 이용한 standard DC 방법에 압전소자와 병렬로 공진을 위한 인덕터와 MOSFET를 연결하여 parallel SSHI 회로를 구성하였으며, 또한 변위센서와 비교기를 통해 스위치 시점을 결정한다. 시뮬레이션 분석을 위해 압전발전기를 등가회로로 모델링하였으며, standard DC방법과 parallel SSHI 방법의 성능을 비교하여 parallel SSHI 방법이 standard DC 방법보다 약 13%의 전력이 증대된 것을 확인 하였다.

  • This paper represents the development of national standard (NS) for lightning impulse (LI) voltage measuring system rated 400 kV. A traceability of the NS to the international standard could be achieved by the intercomparison test with Helsinki University. According to the IEC 60060-2, a measurement uncertainty was assessed. As a result of the tests, a measurement uncertainty and step response characteristics were satisfied with the requisite for NS.

  • For quantitative N depth profiling, N profiles were measured in a~3 m Si oxynitride by low energy O$\sub$2+/sputtering and the result was calibrated with MEIS analysis of the N thickness and areal density. The quantitative depth profile of nitrogen showed the pileup of nitrogen atoms at the interface of ultrathin oxynitride films.

Physicochemical Quality Properties of Loin and Tenderloin Ham from Sows

  • This study was conducted to investigate the physicochemical properties of hams obtained from loin and tenderloin cuts from standard pigs and sows. pH levels of loin ham before cooking, standard pig was significantly lower than that of sow (p<0.001). The lightness (L*) and yellowness (b*) values of loin ham from standard pigs were significantly higher than those of sow loin ham (p<0.001). The water-holding capacity (WHC) and curing yield of sow loin was significantly higher than standard loin (p<0.01). The cooking loss of standard pig loin ham was significantly higher than that of sow loin ham (p<0.01). Differences in sensory quality evaluation, except in the case of tenderness, for the two loin hams were not significant. pH levels of tenderloin ham before cooking, standard pig was significantly lower than that of sow (p<0.001). Redness (a*) values of before and after cooking tenderloin ham of sow was higher than that of standard pig (p<0.001). L* values of tenderloin ham of standard pig was significantly higher than that of sow (p<0.001). WHC and curing yield of tenderloin ham from sow was significantly higher than that from a standard pig (p<0.001, p<0.05). The cooking losses of sow and standard pig tenderloin ham were 26.06% and 28.31%, respectively (p<0.001). Differences in sensory quality evaluation, except in the case of tenderness and color, for the two tenderloin hams were not significant. In conclusion, sow pigs loin and tenderloin is suitable for ham product more than standard pigs loin and tenderloin.

Breeding of Standard Pink Rose Cultivar, 'Pink Bell' with High Yield (다수성 분홍색 스탠다드 장미 'Pink Bell' 육성)

  • A new standard rose cultivar 'Pink Bell' was bred from a cross between pink standard cultivar 'Sweet Pink' and pink standard cultivar '"Pink Pearl' at the National Institute of Horticultural & Herbal Science. A cross was made in 2003 and 'Pink Bell' was finally selected in 2008 after investigating its characteristics for three years from 2006 to 2008 (UPOV standards). 'Pink Bell', a pink color standard cultivar grows vigorously and has a high yield. The major characteristics of this cultivar are $162stems/m^2/year$ in yield, 69.8 cm in length of cut flower, 10.4 cm in flower diameter, 44.5 in petal number per stem, and 12.0 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar was relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Nobless'.

Methods of Automated Analysis of Curricula According to the Higher Education Standard

  • The paper describes the new approaches to the automated analysis of curricula according to the higher education standard. The analysis process is proposed to carry out in two ways: (a) the analysis of completeness and sufficiency of curricula according to the standard of higher education; (b) the comparison of curricula of the same qualification and specialty. The problem of improving the quality of university students' training launches the process of monitoring and analyzing educational curricula and their correspondence to the higher education standard. We developed the rules and methods to compare curricula. In addition, we implemented the automated system of curricula comparison. The paper reveals the use of these methods based on the analysis of the curriculum bachelor level of higher education "Informatics", specialty "Computer science", at the Faculty of Computer Science and Cybernetics of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The findings put towards the idea that the implementation of developed methods as well as the automated system of curricula analysis will improve the educational services by higher education institutions.

  • ISO/IEC JTC1/SC29WG11 MPEG has been standardizing UD(user description) to give a user personalized recommendation services. Besides, CD(context description), service description(SD), and recommendation description(RD) are recently being standardized by UD Adhoc Group in MPEG with an advanced UD to cope with needs of current and upcoming services such as augmented reality and social network. The descriptions was reflected to MPEG-UD WD(Working Draft) at MPEG $107^{th}$ meeting and the document was finally approved as international standard by national bodies with standard number(ISO/IEC IS 21000-22 UD) at $114^{th}$ MPEG meeting. In addition, reference software WD to validate conformance of UD standard was approved at $113^{th}$ MPEG meeting. In this paper, we developed a demo program for visual communication according to guideline defined in reference software WD to validate the reference software as well as UD standard.

A Study on Design Standard for Paddy Field Ramp (수도 포장진입로의 설계기준에 관한 연구)

  • Steep and narrow ramp installed in the paddy field makes it difficult and sometimes dangerous to drive agricultural machines on it. Because agricultural machinery become larger and heavier, it is necessary to revise design standard for ramp to provide safe travel. This study was conducted to revise the design standard fur paddy field ramp, especially for its width and slope. A mathematical model predicting travelling path of a tractor on paddy field ramp and farm road was developed and simulated. To verify this model, field tests were carried out. The model could predict trvelling path with RMS Error of 12.5cm and 8.2cm, which were judged to be adoptable fur determining the width of paddy field ramp. By applying this model to 110ps tractor, which was assumed to be the largest tractor in Korea, width of paddy field ramp was determined as over 3.6m. The slope of paddy field ramp, which provided tractor with 10% of the total weight of the tractor and the mounted implement as reaction force at front wheel against ground was analyzed by considering weight transfer effect on a ramp. The result showed that adequate slope of paddy field ramp was 14°.

  • Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) has kept the largest amount of gene-expression microarray data that have grown exponentially. Microarray data in GEO have been generated in many different formats and often lack standardized annotation and documentation. It is hard to know if preprocessing has been applied to a dataset or not and in what way. Standard-based integration of heterogeneous data formats and metadata is necessary for comprehensive data query, analysis and mining. We attempted to integrate the heterogeneous microarray data in GEO based on Minimum Information About a Microarray Experiment (MIAME) standard. We unified the data fields of GEO Data table and mapped the attributes of GEO metadata into MIAME elements. We also discriminated non-preprocessed raw datasets from others and processed ones by using a two-step classification method. Most of the procedures were developed as semi-automated algorithms with some degree of text mining techniques. We localized 2,967 Platforms, 4,867 Series and 103,590 Samples with covering 279 organisms, integrated them into a standard-based relational schema and developed a comprehensive query interface to extract.
