In this context, this study was conducted to analyze the demand and willingness to pay(WTP) using contingent valuation method for agricultural experience of Daegu Urban Agriculture Park and to suggest a proper participation fee. The survey targeting Daegu citizens was performed, and we obtained 346 valid samples. We carried out the logistic analysis and figured out that sex, age, education and alienation area for urban agriculture affected to probability of agricultural experience participation. As the result of estimating willingness to pay(WTP), the measured range with this samples was from 6,052 to 16,436won. Finally, we also attained 25,000won as the proper participation fee which enables maximum revenue by conducting the scenario analysis. These findings are important in setting up the construction plan and pricing the appropriate participation fee for Daegu Urban Agriculture Park.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between physical factors, economic factors, and cultural factors of tourism gentrification (TG) in urban areas. Based on the results of an empirical analysis, we provide the basic theory and practical implications of the relationship between tourism phenomena and city image. This study used a questionnaire for residents of the Jeju area. From September 1, 2018, to October 3, 2018, the survey was conducted in Nuemori Street, Yeongdong Street, Gucheong Eup, and Moon Town. Thus, we use 479 samples for analysis out of 500 samples obtained. This study produced two important results. First, the physical, economic, and cultural factors of tourism gentrification have significant effects on cognitive image and emotional image. Second, economic factors have statistical significance in cognitive image and emotional image. These results and implications can be useful for practical implications of the theoretical implications of tourism gentrification and regional specialization promotion policies. In addition, from the economic point of view, what should be considered is that development-centered area development can have a negative impact on urban image. Despite these research results, there are limitations in the research, such as cross-sectional studies and short-term studies, and we look forward to a longitudinal study in the future from a long-term perspective.

The research method used was the survey. This study used three data analysis methods: (1) descriptive analysis which was used to identify the characteristics of tourists, (2) travel cost method (TCM), and (3) contingent valuation method (CVM). Results showed some differences in the characteristics of foreign and domestic tourists respondents in age, educational background, income level, number of dependents, and the frequency of their visits. CBG has a high economic value, amounting to IDR (Indonesian Rupiah) 5,508,932,605,405 or approximately USD (United State Dollar) 413,000,000. WTP (Willingness to Pay) of domestic tourist respondents was IDR 29,702 or USD 2.2 per visit, while the value of foreign tourist respondents reached IDR 39,700 or USD 2.9 per visit. Respondents found it preferable to pay more for tickets (WTP value) than to buy medication to reduce their stress.
