This study empirically investigated the effects of both organizational culture(i.e., innovative, supportive and bureaucratic) and information technology(IT) infrastructure(i.e., knowledge storage, transfer and search IT) on the knowledge management(KM) activities(i.e., knowledge creation, sharing and application) in Korean manufacturing firms. We also partially demonstrated the impact of KM activities on the KM performance(i.e., KM satisfaction) of a firm. Through multiple regression analyses, it was found that innovative and supportive culture, and IT infrastructure have a positive impact on the activation of KM activities. The results of this study also showed that the innovative and supportive culture positively influence the adoption of IT infrastructure, and through the construction of IT, they have an indirect effect on KM activities. With a structural equation modeling technique, the causal relationships among organizational culture, IT infrastructure, knowledge management activities, and KM performance were confirmed. Hence, it is concluded that culture and IT infrastructure have direct effects on KM activities, and culture also indirectly influences KM activities through the adoption of IT infrastructure.

Nuclear infrastructure systems play an important role in national security. The functions and missions of nuclear infrastructure systems are vital to government, businesses, society and citizen's lives. It is crucial to design nuclear infrastructure for scalability, reliability and robustness. To do this, we can use machine learning, which is a state of the art technology used in various fields ranging from voice recognition, Internet of Things (IoT) device management and autonomous vehicles. In this paper, we propose to design and develop a machine learning algorithm to perform predictive maintenance of nuclear infrastructure. Support vector machine and logistic regression algorithms will be used to perform the prediction. These machine learning techniques have been used to explore and compare rare events that could occur in nuclear infrastructure. As per our literature review, support vector machines provide better performance metrics. In this paper, we have performed parameter optimization for both algorithms mentioned. Existing research has been done in conditions with a great volume of data, but this paper presents a novel approach to correlate nuclear infrastructure data samples where the density of probability is very low. This paper also identifies the respective motivations and distinguishes between benefits and drawbacks of the selected machine learning algorithms.

The grand challenge for the 21$^{st$ century is to harness knowledge of the earth`s biological and ecological diversity to understand how they shape global environmental systems. This insight benefits both science and society. Biological and ecological data are among the most diverse and complex in the scientific realm. spanning vast temporal and spatial scales, distant localities. and multiple disciplines. Environmental informatics is an emerging discipline applying information science, ecology, and biodiversity to the understanding and solution of environmental problems. In this paper we give an overview of the experiences of the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) with this new multidisciplinary science, discuss the application of computing resources to the study of environmental systems, and outline strategic partnership activities in environmental iformatics that are underway, We hope to foster interactions between ecology, biodiversity, and conservation researchers in East Asia-Pacific Rim and those at SDSC and the Partnership for Biodiversity Informatics.

In this paper, we developed the computer room environments and infrastructure management systems to operate various networking devices and the infrastructure in the room, stably. The developed systems are composed of the computer room environment management system and the computing infrastructure management system. The computer room environment management system performs the role which the temperature and humidity detection node periodically detects the temperature and humidity and transmits the information to the remote intelligent server. The computing infrastructure management system enables the computer room's manager to check the information and maintenance history of the computing devices with a smart device supporting NFC(Near Field Communication).

In this paper, an infrastructure-based localization method using underwater wireless sensor network (UWSN) is addressed. A localization using the UWSN is necessary to widen the usage of underwater applications, however it is very difficult to establish the UWSN due to the restrictions of water. In this paper, to extend the usage of UWSN at the infrastructure, we propose a sophisticated UWSN localization method using the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) of the electromagnetic waves. During the electromagnetic waves propagating in underwater, there arises a lot of attenuation according to the distance, while the attenuation shows uniformity according to the distance. Using this characteristics, the localization system in underwater infrastructure is proposed and the experimental results show the effectiveness.
To provide a development strategy on the method which assesses a potential risk of nationwide emerging IT infrastructure in planning and design phase, and to classify the assessment result into 5 levels is the goal of this research. The development strategy provided in this paper could improve a benefit-cost-ratio of investments on emerging IT infrastructure. With a premature assessment of the potential risks of a nationwide emerging IT infrastructure which needs astronomical amount of public funds, it could show a way of systematic investments on security systems and improve a benefit-cost-ratio of investments on emerging IT infrastructure. Also, this approach might improve the safety of nationwide IT infrastructure. It could identify and provide an optimized solution for the potential risks of nationwide IT infrastructure.

The innovative process of digitalization and creation of innovation from an idea to its commercialization requires certain financial costs, labor and mental efforts. The amount of investment (corporate and public) is the most important imperative to enhance innovation and is traditionally considered as the main "input" indicators of the development of innovation infrastructure, in this case, the financial infrastructure of innovation. At the same time, the modern theory of innovation development assumes a systematic approach to the organization of innovation activity, which provides for the close interaction of several subsystems: human (including intellectual) potential, financial and technological capital, as well as relevant institutions and methods of regulation.. Thus, the main task of the study is to analyze the features of investment support for the process of digitalization of socio-economic systems in the context of strengthening international economic relations. As a result of the study, current trends and prerequisites of investment support for the process of digitalization of socio-economic systems in the context of strengthening international economic relations were revealed.

Recently, natural disasters due to abnormal climates are frequently outbreaking, and there is rapid increase of damage to aged agricultural infrastructure. As agricultural infrastructure facilities are in contact with water throughout the year and the number of them is significant, it is important to build a maintenance management system. Especially, the current maintenance management system of pumping and drainage stations among the agricultural facilities has the limit of lack of objectivity and management personnel. The purpose of this study is to develop a performance evaluation model using the factors related to performance degradation of pumping and drainage facilities and to predict the performance of the facilities in response to climate change. In this study, we focused on the pumping and drainage stations belonging to each climatic zone separated by the Korea geographical climatic classification system. The performance evaluation model was developed using three different statistical models of POLS, RE, and LASSO. As the result of analysis of statistical models, LASSO was selected for the performance evaluation model as it solved the multicollinearity problem between variables, and showed the smallest MSE. To predict the performance degradation due to climate change, the climate change response variables were classified into three categories: climate exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity. The performance degradation prediction was performed at each facility using the developed performance evaluation model and the climate change response variables.
e-Business in healthcare sector has been called e-Health, which is evolving into u-Health with advances of ubiquitous technologies. Seamless information sharing among health organizations is being discussed in many nations including USA, UK, Australia and Korea. Efforts for establishing the electronic health record (EHR) system and a nation-wide information sharing environment are called NHII (National Health Information Infrastructure) initiatives. With the advent of u-Health and progress of health information systems, information security issues in healthcare sector have become a very significant problem. In this paper, we analyze several issues on health information security occurring in u-Health environment and develop an information security standard for protecting health information. It is expected that the standard proposed in this work could be established as a national standard after sufficient reviews by information security experts, stakeholders in healthcare sector, and health professionals. Health organizations can establish comprehensive information security systems and protect health information more effectively using the standard. The result of this paper also contributes to relieving worries about privacy and security of individually identifiable health information brought by NHII implementation and u-Health systems.

Existing autonomous driving technology has been developed based on sensors attached to the vehicles to detect the environment and formulate driving plans. On the other hand, it has limitations, such as performance degradation in specific situations like adverse weather conditions, backlighting, and obstruction-induced occlusion. To address these issues, cooperative autonomous driving technology, which extends the perception range of autonomous vehicles through the support of road infrastructure, has attracted attention. Nevertheless, the real-time analysis of the 3D centroids of objects, as required by international standards, is challenging using single-lens cameras. This paper proposes an approach to detect objects and estimate the centroid of vehicles using the fixed field of view of road infrastructure and pre-measured geometric information in real-time. The proposed method has been confirmed to effectively estimate the center point of objects using GPS positioning equipment, and it is expected to contribute to the proliferation and adoption of cooperative autonomous driving infrastructure technology, applicable to both vehicles and road infrastructure.
