내러티브는 인간의 인지와 사회 문화의 기본이며 개인과 사회가 의미를 구성하고 경험을 공유하며 문화적, 도덕적 가치를 전달하는 주요 수단으로 사용된다. 인간의 사고와 행동을 모방하려는 인공지능 분야에서는 오랫동안 스토리 생성과 스토리 이해에 관해서 연구해 왔으며, 오늘날 대규모 언어 모델은 발전된 자연어 처리 기술을 바탕으로 괄목할 만한 서사적 능력을 보여주고 있다. 이런 상황은 다양한 변화와 새로운 문제를 제기하지만 이에 대한 포괄적인 논의를 찾아보기는 어렵다. 본 논문은 인간과 AI의 서사 지능의 교차점과 상호작용을 살펴봄으로써 현재의 상태와 미래의 변화에 대한 전체적인 조망을 제공하는 것을 목표로 한다. 먼저 호모 나랜스라는 용어로 대변되는 인간과 내러티브의 본질적 관계에 관한 다학제적 연구를 살펴보고, 인공지능 분야에서 내러티브에 관한 연구가 어떻게 이루어져 왔는지를 역사적으로 살펴본다. 그리고 오늘날 대규모 언어 모델이 보여주는 서사 지능의 가능성과 한계를 살펴보고, 서사 지능을 갖춘 AI가 갖는 함의를 파악하기 위한 세 가지 철학적 과제를 제시한다.

This study investigated the direction of program development in emotional education through storytelling without separating intellectual education in current schooling. As the basic research on program development for elementary school students' emotional intelligence, this study examined how storytelling affects program development in emotional education, and the direction of program contents and structures using storytelling. Firstly, current storytelling and existing programs used for emotional education were analyzed and the direction of program development in emotional education was investigated. Secondly, the structures and procedures of programs for emotional education through storytelling were examined. Finally, stressed contents and items by each factor consisting of emotional intelligence related to the curriculum, and more discussions to consider were inquired. For systematic emotional education, there must be efforts made on developing contents of each factor comprising emotional intelligence; and teaching must be done through the interrelatedness among home, society and school. Furthermore, the construction of social system across the country is required. In conclusion, this study suggest the emotional education needs new curricula based on narrative, because it is dependent on personal emotions and situations.

서사 텍스트에 대한 분석은 학술적으로나 실용적으로 중요하게 여겨져 왔으며 여러 관점과 방법으로 이루어져 왔다. 이 논문에서는 정보처리 관점에서의 전산적 서사 분석 방법론을 살펴보았다. 정보처리 관점에서 서사의 창작과 수용은 서사 텍스트에 의해 매개된 양방향적 코딩 과정이고, 서사 텍스트는 다층적으로 구조화된 코드라고 할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 이런 관점을 공유하는 네 가지 방법론 - 캐릭터 네트워크 분석, 텍스트 마이닝과 감성 분석, 사건 구성의 연속성 분석, 서사 에이전트의 지식 분석 -을 사례와 함께 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 서사 분석에 있어 전산적 방법론의 메커니즘과 가능성을 확인하였다. 결론에서는 전산적 서사 분석의 의의와 부작용을 살펴보고, 인문학과 과학기술 통섭에 바탕한 인간-컴퓨터 협업 모델 설계의 필요성을 논의하였다. 이를 통해 미적으로 창의적이고, 윤리적으로 선하며, 정치적으로 진보적이고, 인지적으로 정교한 서사를 보다 효과적으로 만들어 나갈 수 있음을 주장하였다.

본 연구에서는 미디어가 인공지능을 바라보는 관점 해석을 목적으로 미국에서 2016년까지 방영되었던 드라마 <퍼슨 오브 인터레스트>를 하나의 사례로서 분석하였다. 본 연구는 우선 다른 인공지능 관련 작품들과 차별화된 특성을 찾고자 로봇이나 인공지능을 소재로 한 픽션물에 자주 등장하는 아시모프의 로봇공학 3원칙을 작품의 인공지능은 어떻게 반영하고 있는지 살펴보았다. 또한 작품이 시즌이 전개되면서 인공지능을 다루는 주체들이 변화하는 것에 주목하여, 주체별 벌어지는 사건양상에 대해 분석해보았다. 본 연구에서 살펴본 작품의 차별성을 바탕으로 한 작품해석을 통해, 본 연구는 인공지능과 관련하여 관객에게 전달하고자 하는 메시지를 크게 세 가지 카테고리- 데이터 주권의 중요성, 잠재적 지능 대확산, 기계에 대한 맹신 -으로 분류하고, 이들의 의미에 집중하여 분석해보았다. 본 연구는 작품이 '어떤 인공지능이 개발되어야 하는가?'라는 문제제기에 앞서 인공지능 시대를 맞이하는 시민으로서 가져야 할 의식과 태도를 강조하고 있음을 시사점으로 도출하였다.

이 글은 마쓰나가 신지가 2018년 일본에서 펴낸 『비디오 게임의 미학』을 소개하기 위해 씌어졌다. 마쓰나가 신지는 철학적이고 미학적인 관점에서 비디오 게임을 연구해온 일본의 대표적인 연구자다. 그가 이 책에서 주목하는 것은 비디오 게임이 지닌 인공적인 놀이로서의 측면이다. 마쓰나가 신지는 비디오 게임이 인간의 행위와 경험을 디자인하는 놀이라는 점에 주목하고, 이를 비디오 게임의 수용 과정에서 일어나는 의미 작용의 측면에서 논했다. 이를 위해 도입된 것은 컴퓨터와 공유되는 분석철학의 방법이다. 그동안 일본에서 발표된 선행연구에서 비디오 게임은 주로 일본 문화론이나 오락 문화의 문맥에서 논해졌다. 그러나 『비디오 게임의 미학』은 다음과 같은 점에서 선행연구와 구별된다. 첫째, 예술 이론의 내부에서 비디오 게임이라는 장르를 연구하기 위한 연구방법을 개척하고, 둘째, 전통적인 미학적 개념과의 연관 관계를 도출하는 동시에, 셋째, 인공지능시대에 부상한 새로운 개념을 미적 행위로서의 비디오 게임에 결부시키고 있다. 이 작업을 통해서 비디오 게임이 미학의 대상으로 체계화되었으며, 미학과 예술의 영역도 확장되었다. 이 책의 독보적인 특징은 철학과 미학의 언어로 비디오 게임을 체계화했고, 그 언어를 컴퓨터가 공유할 수 있는 방식으로 구사했다는 점이다. 말하자면 『비디오 게임의 미학』은 인간과 컴퓨터가 공유할 수 있는 개념 상자라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 이 책의 궁극적인 의의는 전통적인 인문학의 언어를 컴퓨터가 해독 가능한 언어로 번역함으로써 인공지능이 인간의 비밀에 다가서는 길을 개척했다는 점에 있다.

'Instagrammable' is a new term which means a photo or a series of pictures are worth posting on Instagram. Since Instagram is an image-oriented social media platform, it is important to give users proper awareness through images in order to be an instagrammable post. In this study, we explored the proper delivery method of messages within instagrammable posts through the use of hashtags(#). Specifically, we paid attention to the use of 'Card News', which involves a series of images that form a short narrative. Hashtags play an important role that they often describe sharing intention of the post, and we found analyzing the use of hashtags in Card News posts is a good indicator of users' Instagram activities. Currently, there are more than 580k posts are found with the search keyword Card News, and the number is increasing. In this study, we collected and analyzed more than 50k hashtags on Instagram to explore how news stories are posted from both the general users and news media accounts. Furthermore, we conducted interviews with journalists to analyze how news media are making use of Instagram as a legitimate place to share news stories with impact.

This paper aimed to summarize the current situation of prognostication for patients with an expected survival of weeks or months, and to clarify future research priorities. Prognostic information is essential for patients, their families, and medical professionals to make end-of-life decisions. The clinician's prediction of survival is often used, but this may be inaccurate and optimistic. Many prognostic tools, such as the Palliative Performance Scale, Palliative Prognostic Index, Palliative Prognostic Score, and Prognosis in Palliative Care Study, have been developed and validated to reduce the inaccuracy of the clinician's prediction of survival. To date, there is no consensus on the most appropriate method of comparing tools that use different formats to predict survival. Therefore, the feasibility of using prognostic scales in clinical practice and the information wanted by the end users can determine the appropriate prognostic tool to use. We propose four major themes for further prognostication research: (1) functional prognosis, (2) outcomes of prognostic communication, (3) artificial intelligence, and (4) education for clinicians.

본 논문은 문학 연구와 인공지능의 접점을 감성 영역에서 찾고, 그 연계성을 기반으로 상호 보완과 발전을 지향하는 문학과 기술의 융합에 관한 연구이다. 본 논문은 문학과 공학에서 각각 상대를 보는 관점을 사용하고 공통의 기반인 감성의 주제를 두고 비교 점검하는 연구 방법을 사용한다. 현재 인공 지능과 문학 연구의 융합 연구 결과물이 많이 발표되고 있지 않은데, 본 연구에서는 미래 인공지능의 지향점을 두고 인문학 분야에서의 학제적 연구를 모색해 보고자 하였다. 이에 문학적 감성을 통해 문학도 인공지능의 발전에 공헌할 방안으로서 주관적인 문학의 감성을 추출하여 인공지능의 객관적 입력을 위한 정형화 작업에 참여할 때에 이르렀다. 본 연구에서 시도하고 있는 감성의 용어 중심 추출 작업을 거쳐서 인간 감정에 접근하는 주관적인 상상력과 객관적인 기술력이 조합된다면, 광범위한 인간의 자료를 분석하는 속도감 있는 문학 연구의 확장은 물론, 복합적인 인간을 이해하고 상대하는 깊이 있는 인공지능의 개발에 다가갈 수 있을 것이라 본다. 그러한 마주보기 통과 의례를 거쳐서 학제적 연구의 장점을 살린 논의는 두 학문 분야를 별개로 볼 때의 한계 또한 인정하고 부족한 측면을 상호 보완하는 융합 연구의 긍정적 측면을 갖게 될 것이다.

The epistolary novel, as developed and refined by Samuel Richardson (1689-1761), is concerned with distinctly private experience and the morality of individuals-Richardson's heroine writers. In contrast to nineteenth-century novels, which explore their subjects through the overview of a narrator with a singular moral outlook, the epistolary narrative allows Richardson to examine the various different ways in which individuals/heroines interpret, mold, and respond to their experiences in writing. In this paper, I argue that the authorial voice of Richardson does not control the narrative but rather is present in the prefaces, character sketches, notes and occasional interjections between letters. Although there is little doubt as to whether Richardson intended to make a particular moral point or attempted to control the effect of his novels on his readers, the heroines and their letters dominate the novels so that they put the authorial suggestions in a different light, reducing the author's to one voice among several. Thus, Pamela's letters are exemplary for the vigor and intelligence with which they appear to be written, rather than for the imposed morality of their ghost writer-Richardson. Although Clarissa is of a different social class from Pamela, both heroines are united in their oppression as victims of a patriarchal society. In Clarissa's letters, the heroine's situation and experience are seen through her own writing in dialogue with that of her confidante Anna Howe, and in contrast to the writing of her oppressors. Clarissa, then, becomes a struggle between different discourses in which their genesis and effect, and the societies and individuals from which they come are implicitly suggested in Richardson's text. While Richardson may or may not be guilty of taking the writing of women and using it for his own ends, his epistolary novels represent a deliberate and bold attempt to shape the novel in a way conducive to his heroines and to women writers.

우리는 한편에서는 초고령화 시대를, 다른 편에서는 인공지능 초기단계의 자동화 시대를 동시에 마주하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 새로운 미디어 기술의 적용을 통해 초고령화의 문제를 해결하려는 목적으로 세대 통합형 영상 스토리텔링과 연계한 영상자서전 제작을 수행하였다. 영상자서전 제작 프로그램은 조부모와 손자, 손녀가 함께 영상 속 주인공이 되어 지나간 기억과 삶을 되돌아보고 그들의 삶의 의미를 인식하는 소중한 기회가 되었으며, 이는 다양한 미디어로 확장될 수 있는 잠재적 가능성을 가졌다고 고찰하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 스토리텔링 교육 프로그램 모델과 미디어 라이프 서비스는 청년세대와 노인세대가 함께 공유하며 사회 통합 프로그램으로서의 '공감문화'에 기여할 것이다.
