  • Information Centric Networking that uses content name instead of IP address as routing identifier can handle challenges such as traffic explosion and user mobility, but it also suffers from scalability and incompatibility problems. In this paper by combining the concept of software defined networking and Internet end to end arguments, we propose a wide area deployable software defined information centric networking service model named SD-ICN. SD-ICN employs a dual space structure that separates edge service network and core transmission network. The enhanced SDN techniques are used in edge service network in order to implement intelligent data routing and caching, while traditional IP technique is reserved in core transmission network so as to provide wide area high speed data transmission. Besides, a distributed name resolution system based on the cooperation of different controllers is also presented. The prototype experiments in our campus network show that SD-ICN can be deployed in a scalable and incremental way with no modification of the core network, and can support typical communication modes such as multicast, mobility, multihoming, load balancing, and multipath data transmission effectively.

  • Since research articles aren't be fixed in particular system, author name of articles have been handled not by authority control but by unique identifier. While unique identifier has a tendency that moves toward open-transparent global link system, lately ORCID has been initiated. ORCID is not only link diverse existing ID system as a partner, for example, publisher's ID systems, university's research assessment systems, manuscript tracking systems but also let researchers self-claim by themselves to identify their own articles. Though, since ORCID run based on overseas' publications, it is not appropriate to adapt ORCID shortly to Korean researcher's identification. So this study suggests the direction of domestic researcher's identification system by applying ORCID.

  • With the arrival of the era of the Internet of Things (IoT), identification of an individual object is gaining significance. Internet address resources such as domain name, IP address, and OID are expected to play the role of an identifier and demand for them is also expected to increase. Accordingly, it becomes important to obtain the Internet address resources. As the Internet address resources market development, Internet address resources at the present time there is a need to gauge whether the potential to develop into industry. For this purpose, we have selected factors affecting the number of country domain name with 18 countries among OECD member countries as research target and carried out a regression analysis.

  • The use of 'Idumunja' for programs is inevitable before Unicode came out. However, even now that Unicode has been established as an international standard in both name and reality, there has been an insistence that the use of Hangeul identifiers should be avoided. This study surveyed the students for the reasons why they prefer to use English identifiers and for the notations that can substitute the function of English capital letters in using Hangeul identifiers. Then, we discussed the vanity of argument that the use of English identifiers is a global trend, and proposed two notations for the use of Korean identifiers. In order to improve the productivity of software, programmer's job satisfaction, and the ease of maintenance, the use of Hangeul identifiers should become rapidly common.

  • IP header compression schemes offer a valuable measure for bandwidth preservation. Such schemes have been practically implemented in infrastructure-based IP networks for point-to-point links. However, minimal research and practical implementation efforts have been conducted in the direction of an IP header compression strategy that can meet the peculiar requirements of multi-hop ad hoc wireless networks. In this paper, we present a practically implemented multi-hop IP header compression scheme using the Robust Header Compression (ROHC) protocol suite. The scheme runs on a novel identifier (ID) based networking architecture, known as an ID-based ad hoc network (IDHOCNET). IDHOCNET additionally solves a number of bottlenecks of pure IP-based ad hoc networks that have emerged owing to IP address auto-configuration service, distributed naming and name resolution, and the role of an IP address as an identifier at the application layer. The proposed scheme was tested on a multi-hop test bed. The results show that the implemented scheme has better gain and requires only O (1) ROHC contexts.

  • Recenily, major internalional STM(Science, Trchnical, and Mcdivine) Publichers have been developing prototype systems that can provide the refeence linking of jouinal articles within the scholarly literature on a cross-publisher basis using the URN(Universal Resouree Name). In Korea, it is hard to find the efforts to link the scattered digitalized documents to an individual user through a unified web. In this study, a linking model for an inergrated gatewny fro, bibliographic information to full tcxt has been desugned and 'Electronic Research Resourced Linking system (E3R/LS)' has been developed as a prototype for centralized static reference linking system. There are three major components for constructing refrernce linking systems. The firsl componcnt the Digital Object Identifiet(DO1). is introduced as the public identifier inrended to be applied wherever thr item needs to be identified. For denl~iymg Korean journal articles, llie extended SICI(Serlal Ilem and Conlribut~on Idealifier) has becn newly dehed in 1111s study and is used as a suiiia on DOI. The reierence datubasc conlams the second com~onenl, metadiltil, linkcd to implemenied by all information providers. The CnRI resolution system is used for resolving a DOI into a URL as the third component.

  • In the modern academic research environment, the advancement of digital technology provides researchers with increasingly diverse and rich access to information, but at the same time, the issue of author identification has emerged as a new challenge. The problem of author identification is a major factor that undermines the transparency and accuracy of academic communication, potentially causing confusion in the accurate attribution of research results and the construction of research networks. In response, identifier systems such as the International Standard Name Identifier (ISNI) and Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) have been introduced, but still face limitations due to low participation by authors and inaccurate entry of information. This study focuses on researching information management methods for identification from the moment author information is first entered into the system, proposing ways to improve the accuracy of author identification and maximize the efficiency of academic information services. Through this, it aims to renew awareness of the issue of author identification within the academic community and present concrete measures that related institutions and researchers can take to solve this problem.

  • The easily accessible handheld devices equipped with camera are widely available as common commodities. According to this trend, utilization of images is popular among common users for various purposes resulting in huge amount of images in local or network based storage systems. In this environment, identification of an image with a solid and effective manner is demanded in behalf of safe distribution and efficient management of images. The generated identifiers can be used as a file name in file systems or an index in image databases utilizing the uniqueness of the identifiers. In this paper, we propose a method that generates image identifiers using linear components in images. Some experiments of generation of identifiers are performed, and the results evaluate that the proposed method has feasible effectiveness.

  • With a huge demand for replicated content on the Internet, a new networking paradigm called information-centric networking (ICN) has been introduced for efficient content dissemination. In ICN, named content is distributed over the network cache and it is accessed by name instead of a location identifier. These aspects allow users to retrieve content from any of the nodes having replicas, and consequently 1) network resources are more efficiently utilized by avoiding redundant transmission and 2) more scalable services are provided by distributing server loads. However, in-network caching in ICN brings about a new type of security issues, called content poisoning attacks, where fabricated content is located in the network cache and interferes with the normal behavior of the system. In this paper, we look into the problems of content poisoning in ICN and discuss security architectures against them. In particular, we reconsider the state-of-the-art schemes from the perspective of feasibility, and propose a practical security architecture.

  • Human beings have been fascinated by the applicability of the medium of photography since the device was first introduced in the thirteenth century to acquire images by attempting primitive and rudimentary approaches. In the 21st century, it has been developed as a wide range of technology that enables not only the application of artistic expression as a method of replacing the human-hand-painted screen but also the planar recording form in the format of video or image. It is more effective to use the information extracted from the image data rather than to use a randomly given file name in order to provide a variety of services in the offline or online system. When extracting an identifier from a region of an image, high cost cannot be avoided. This paper discusses the image entropy-based approach and proposes a linear methodology to measure the image entropy in an effort to devise a solution to this method.
