The purpose of this study was to investigate the elementary school teacher's status and recognition of nutrition education (NE) in Incheon. A cross-sectional study was carried out using a self-administered questionnaire and subjects were 147 elementary school teachers. The results are as follows. Only 9.5% of the teachers had training in NE and 71.4% of the teachers with training increased concern about NE after training. As for experience of NE, 61.6% of the teachers experienced NE and more than half of them gave NE less than twice per month. There was a significant difference in reason for not giving NE between subgroups by teaching career; 57.7% of the teachers with career more than 10 years did not give NE due to too much other work. As for existence of nutrition educator in school, 48.9% of the teachers recognized its existence and 91.3% of them answered that dietitians have done NE. For correction of unbalanced diet, good table manner, and nutrition and growth, 97.9% of the teachers answered that NE is necessary in elementary school. As for proper time to start NE, 57.5% of the teachers answered kindergarten and 39,7% answered lower grade of elementary school. As for effective type for NE, 47.3% of the teachers answered NE as a part of other subject and 28.1 % answered NE as a separate subject. Also 69.8% of the teachers answered dietitian as suitable person for NE. As for newly establishing a NE subject, 37.9% of the teachers disagreed and as for most effective method for NE, 73.3% answered NE linked with school lunch program. Most of teachers recognized elementary school students' eating habit problem severe and change of their eating habit such as various food choice, no plate waste and good table manner after school lunch program. Therefore, it should be nationally supported that a standardized NE program is developed and coordinated among teachers, school lunch dietitian as NE specialist, family and community for elementary students' health and well-being.

The objectives of the current experiment were to study the response of the growth performance of early finishing gilts to different net energy (NE) concentrations in diets, and to compare the NE values of diets between calculated NE values and measured NE values using French and Dutch CVB (Centraal Veevoederbureau; Central Bureau for Livestock Feeding) NE systems. In a metabolism trail, the NE concentrations in five diets used for the growth trial were determined based on digestible nutrient concentrations, digestible energy, and metabolizable energy using a replicated $5{\times}5$ Latin square design with 10 barrows (initial body weight [BW], $39.2{\pm}2.2kg$). In a growth trial, a total of 60 early finishing gilts (Landrace${\times}$Yorkshire; initial BW, $47.7{\pm}3.5kg$) were allotted to five dietary treatments of 8.0, 9.0, 10.0, 11.0, and 12.0 MJ NE/kg (calculated, as-is basis) with 12 replicate pens and one pig per pen in a 42-d feeding experiment. The NE and amino acid (AA) concentrations in all diets were calculated based on the values from NRC (2012). Ratios between standardized ileal digestible AA and NE concentrations in all diets were closely maintained. Pigs were allowed ad libitum access to feed and water. Results indicated that calculated NE concentrations in diets (i.e., five dietary treatments) were close to measured NE concentrations using French NE system in diets. The final BW was increased (linear and quadratic, p<0.05) with increasing NE concentrations in diets. Furthermore, average daily gain (ADG) was increased (linear and quadratic, p<0.01) with increasing NE concentrations in diets. There was a quadratic relationship (p<0.01) between average daily feed intake and NE concentrations in diets. Feed efficiency (G:F) was also increased (linear, p<0.01) as NE concentrations in diets were increased. The NE intake per BW gain (kcal NE/kg of BWG) was increased (linear, p<0.01) with increasing NE concentrations in diets that were predicted from both French and Dutch CVB NE systems. Linear regression indicated that predictability of daily NE intake from the BW of pigs was very low for both French ($R^2$, 0.366) and Dutch CVB ($R^2$, 0.374) NE systems. In conclusion, increasing NE concentrations in diets increase BW, ADG, G:F, and NE intake per BW gain of early finishing gilts. The BW of early finishing gilts is not a good sole variable for the prediction of daily NE intake.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the elementary school dietitian's status and recognition of nutrition education (NE) in Incheon. A cross-sectional study was carried out using a self-administered questionnaire and subjects were 100 elementary school dietitians. The results are as follows. As for training in NE, $61.2\%$ of the dietitians attended training in NE. After training in NE, $86.5\%$ of the dietitians who attended training in NE were more concerned about NE. Also $59.5\%$ of the dietitians gave students NE and most of them did as a weekly printout 2-4 times per month. There was a significant difference in experience of NE for teachers between subgroups by experience of training in NE; while $48.1\%$ of the dietitians with training in NE gave teachers NE, $20.0\%$ of the dietitians without training in NE gave teachers NE. The main reason for not giving NE was too much work load and low concern of school administration. Also $96.4\%$ of the dietitians answered that NE is necessary in elementary school and the main reason for being necessary was correction of unbalanced diet and good table manner, As for proper time to start NE for children, $51.8\%$ of dietitians answered 'kindergarten' and $45.8\%$ of them answered 'lower grade of elementary school'. As for effective type for NE, $59.5\%$ of the dietitians answered 'NE as a part of other subject' and $23.8\%$ of them answered 'NE as a separate subject'. Also $79.5\%$ of the dietitians answered 'teacher' as the suitable person for NE. Most of the dietitians recognized menu formation as the ideal major work load and office work as the most time-consuming work load. As to job satisfaction, most of them were dissatisfied with office work and NE. Therefore, it is nationally supported for elementary school students' health and well-being that school dietitians as NE specialists give NE with minimizing their office work and developing a standardized NE program.

Neomycin coupled to a polymer matrix via a metal linker was prepared and evaluated for prolonging antibacterial activity. Microcrystallized cellulose was chemically modified to cellulose xanthate(MCX) to afford metal binding sites. MCX was treated with Cu(II), Fe(III) or Zn(II) followed by reaction with neomycin (Ne). The release of Ne from MCX-Zn(II)-Ne was investigated and its activity duration was measured by ditch plate method. The amount of metal bound to MCX was 0.36 mmol/g matrix, 0.26 mmol/g matrix and 0.56 mmol/g matrix for Cu(II), Zn(II) and Fe(III), respectively. Ne bound to MCX-metal chelates was 0.006 mmol, 0.07 mmol and 0.01 mmol per g MCX for Cu(II), Zn(II) and Fe(III), respectively. The Ne release from MCX-Zn(II)-Ne was sustained even after seven washes, whereas Ne from MC/Zn(II)/Ne mixture was almost completely released in two washes. Antibacterial activity was prolonged with MCX-Zn(II)-Ne and MCX-Fe(III)-Ne, but not with MCX-Cu(II)-Ne when compared with that of free Ne. Taken together, these results suggest that neomycin coupled to MCX via a proper metal linker has a potential as a polymeric antibacterial agent with sustained activity.
Sympatric sites of type NE and NS of Zacco korean us were found in the upper reaches of many tributaries of the Nakdong and Seomjin rivers, as well as in some streams draining into the South Sea, Korea. In streams where the two types exist together, there was a tendency for individuals of NE to densely populate the upper reaches and those of NS to populate the middle reaches. A habitat-segregation phenomenon was observed in the cohabiting sites. Fishes of NE preferred rapids, whereas fishes of NS preferred slowly flowing or lentic regions. It seemed that the number of NE was proportional to the flow velocity, but NS showed an opposite trend in the cohabiting sites. On the other hand, such tendency was not found in regions where NE and NS exist separately.

In whole world consciousness of environment maintenance have increased very quickly for the end of the 20th century. To use and disuse toxic substances have been controled at the field of industry. Also the field of lighting source belong to environmental control. And in the future the control will be strong. In radiational mechanism of fluorescence lamp mercury is the worst environmental problem and root. In the mercury free lighting source system the Xe gas lamp is one type. And the Ne:Xe and Ne:Ar mixed gas lamp improve firing voltage of Xe gas lamp. Purpose of this study is to understand ideal mixing-ratio of Ne:Xe and Ne:Ar gas by electron temperature and electron density for mercury free lamp. Before ICP was designed, basic parameters of plasma, which are electron temperature and electron density, were measured and calculated by single-Langmuir probe. Property of electron temperature and electron density were confirmed by changing ratio of Ne:Xe and Ne:Ar.
Since the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signal received from the low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite is only affected by the upper ionosphere, the magnitude of the ionospheric delay of Global Positioning System (GPS) signal received from ground user is different. Therefore, the ground-based two-dimensional ionospheric model cannot be applied to LEO satellites. The NeQuick model used in Galileo provides the ionospheric delay according to the user's altitude, so it can be used in the ionospheric model of the LEO satellites. However, the NeQuick model is not suitable for space receivers because of the high computational cost. A simplified NeQuick model with reduced computing time was recently presented. In this study, the computing time of the NeQuick model and the simplified NeQuick model was analyzed based on the GPS Klobuchar model. The NeQuick and simplified NeQuick model were applied to the GNSS data from GRACE-B, Swarm-C, and GOCE satellites to analyze the performance of the ionospheric correction and positioning. The difference in computing time between the NeQuick and simplified NeQuick model was up to 90%, but the difference in ionospheric accuracy was not as large as within 4.5%.
For ionospheric correction of low earth orbiter (LEO) satellites using single frequency global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver, ionospheric scale factor should be applied to the ground-based ionosphere model. The ionospheric scale factor can be calculated by using a NeQuick model, which provides a three-dimensional ionospheric distribution. In this study, the ionospheric scale factor is calculated by using NeQuick G model during 2015, and it is compared with the scale factor computed from the combination of LEO satellite measurements and international GNSS service (IGS) global ionosphere map (GIM). The accuracy of the ionospheric delay calculated by the NeQuick G model and IGS GIM with NeQuick G scale factor is analyzed. In addition, ionospheric delay errors calculated by the NeQuick G model and IGS GIM with the NeQuick G scale factor are compared. The ionospheric delay error variations along to latitude and solar activity are also analyzed. The mean ionospheric scale factor from the NeQuick G model is 0.269 in 2015. The ionospheric delay error of IGS GIM with NeQuick G scale factor is 23.7% less than that of NeQuick G model.

In this study, we analyzed the luminous efficiencies of Ne-Xe-Ar and He-Ne-Xe-Ar mixing gas in compared with those of Ne-Xe and He-Ne-Xe mixing gas to improve luminous efficiency by adding a small amount of Ar gas. At the Xe 4%, the brightness of Ne-Xe and He-Ne-Xe mixing gas is higher than others. As the Xe % increases, power consumption decreases. Thus, in the Ne-Xe and He-Ne-Xe mixing gas of Xe 4%, we obtained maxium luminous efficiency. The Ar concentration is varied from 0.1% to 0.7% in this study. The luminous efficiency of the Ne-Xe(4%) mixing gas is improved to 1.16 and 1.13 lm/W by adding an Ar concentration of 0.4% and 0.5%, respectively. The luminous efficiency of the He-Ne-Xe(4%) (He : Ne = 7 : 3) mixing gas is considerably improved by adding an Ar concentration of above 0.3%. The maximum luminous efficiency of this mixing gas is 1.38 lm/W at the condition of adding an Ar concentration of 0.5%.
