It has been passed $5\~6$ years since Construction Management introduced in Korea, but a few government projects have been presented as CM instances. We performed CM service, on behalf of the foreign Client, in the Insa-dong construction, I-Project. Even though there were many limits in cost, time and other aspects, we have attained satisfaction of the Client and successful businesses of all the construction parties as adopting the advanced management methods. Many advanced construction methods have been applied for the purpose of time reduce, cost save and quality assurance as well as to the webbased project management has been imported to overcome the limits of time and place. They have actualized to increase the productivity of the project by managing the floor to floor cycle and quality systemically pursuant to ISO 9002, and by adopting Real-name construction and completion system (or individual activity. While carrying out this project, it is possible to establish mutual reliability and understanding enable to resolve the issues occurring in the early stage due to insufficient understanding of CM, lack of communications and team work, indistinct work scope through continuos training and conferences. Additionally, we became to share business targets among the parties and promoted the project in confidence. We wish that the success of I- project to be rated as a standard model of CM in Korea.
This study analysed the complicated introduction process of IPTV in Korea, based on the rent seeking theory which is one of an useful economic theory for explaining the dynamic interaction between government and entrepreneurs. Rent seeking theory describes the possibility of lobbying for economic regulations or regulatory capture which refers to collusion between firms and the government agencies assigned to regulate them. The introduction of IPTV(Internet Protocol TV) in Korea was the most controversial policy issue since the beginning of new media business of cable TV in 1995. In addition to the ordinary conflict between the old and new entrepreneurs, IPTV caused the bureaucratic conflicts between the Ministry of Information and Communication and the Korean Broadcasting Commission (Two regulation agencies were merged into KCC(Korean Communications Commission) in 2008). Through the process all related policy players, including the government, pursued their own rent, and it caused vicious circle of continuous rent seeking and mutual distrust among players. Finally, all-directional lobby of pre-IPTV companies brought about the successful entrance to IPTV market and the enactment of IPTV special law which includes deregulation compared to the existing Broadcast Act. Considering the convergence trend of media related laws it means going against the times. Until now, the conflict phenomena occurring in broadcast industry were mostly explained based on the sociological conflict theory. However, the result of this study shows the usefulness and necessity of rent seeking theory because it gives an economic explanation of conflict behavior.

This paper looks into the process of the formation of a Chinese ethnic place in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu. In doing so, the paper reviews Chinese immigrants with the approach of cultural adaptation. Specifically, in-depth interviews with both Chinese immigrants and Korean native people in Jayangdong has been conducted to analyze the local residents' reaction to the Chinese immigrants, the conflicts between the natives and the Chinese immigrants, and communications among them. Based on the analyses, the paper recognizes the change of relationship between the natives and the Chinese immigrants in the development of the ethnic place. The relationship between the Korean native people and Chinese immigrants in Jayang-dong turns out to be more positive than that in other Chinese towns. In Jayang-dong, in the early period of the formation of the area, the Korean native people and Chinese immigrants used to have conflicts. However, as time goes by, the conflicts has been resolved and they have embraced each other through interchanges between them based on mutual understanding and consideration. Cultural adaptation in Jayang-dong has occurred in the way that the immigrants have been integrated into the mainstream society based on the connectedness with both the native people and immigrants embracing each other.
This study aims to understand the conditions for using logistics outsourcing of Korean enterprises, present existing problems, examine factors affecting utility, and analyze the pattern of logistics outsourcing based on contract term, and to ultimately contribute to enhancing competitiveness of logistics enterprises. Through the literature survey 8 factors were identified as three broad factors of corporate strategy, corporate characteristics, and environment. Factor analysis was conducted on the bases of 155 collected data among 400 distributions for 2 months from April to May in 2008. From the result of analysis, the implication and finding can be summarized into three aspects. Firstly, Korean companies value factors relative to corporate strategies as motivating factors for logistics outsourcing. Secondly, Korean companies consider logistics outsourcing depending on how to handle customers' demands and the severity of competition. Thirdly, it was found that product and organization characteristics are perceived as more important when contract term with logistics business is longer. The implications can be observed into two aspects. Firstly once the logistics outsourcing between manufacturers and logistics companies are determined, it was verified that mutual agreement, particular contracts and periodic communications can increase the outcome. Secondly the logistics outsourcing appeared to be different depending on the level of entering to foreign market and resulted in higher performance as well.
With the rapid development of the Internet, public agencies and private companies introduced 'IT outsourcing in order to maintain and repair the information systems. Also they have utilized the SLA in order to manage it. Although IT outsourcing as a way to promote effective SLA are being introduced, the introduction of service level agreements or those introduced universal effectiveness did not demonstrate in the public agencies. The importance of outsourcing in the information systems is growing, but the increase in size of the business information, IT technology diversification, expansion of information between systems interconnection, information system operating and maintenance costs with the increase of information systems to streamline operations, increase the need for versatility is growing gradually. In this paper we investigates IT outsourcing in public agencies as a way to promote effective service level agreement(SLA) with the introduction and consideration, and through the application of SLA mutual customers and IT service organizations make a clear point of management and IT service levels and IT services for improved mind and strengthen the effectiveness of preventive activities can be seen.
Due to increasing demand for improving road safety and optimizing road traffic, Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANET) have been subject to extensive attentions from all aspects of commercial industry and academic community. Security and user privacy are fundamental issues for all possible promising applications in VANET. Most of the existing security proposals for secure VANET concentrate authentication with privacy preservation in vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-roadside infrastructure (V2I) communications and require huge storage and network capacity for management of revocation list. Motivated by the fact, we propose a new scheme with security and privacy preservation which combines V2V and V2I communication. With our proposed scheme, the communication and computational delay for authentication and overhead for management of revocation list can be significantly reduced due to mutual authentication between a vehicle and a Roadside Unit (RSU) requires only two messages, and the RSU issues the anonymous certificate for the vehicle on behalf of the Trust Authority (TA). We demonstrate that the proposed protocol cannot only guarantee the requirements of security and privacy but can also provide efficiency of authentication and management of revocation list.
The drastically changing society has brought diverse types of families, and these diversities are changing the concept of the word 'family' itself. Inevitably, these changes cause different viewpoints among family members, developing into conflicts and social issues. In this paper, generational family problems, which are caused by changes within the family as a result of the variously, diversely changing society, are observed to suggest a resolution. Looking into the functional variety that today's structural change within a family demands, several positives changes described below have been observed; Firstly, the change in the way of interaction among family members; Secondly, the demand for continuance on relational functions including love, care, etc, as a psychological resource of family; Thirdly, the conversion from form's sake relationship to actual relationship; and Lastly, the usage of a clearer communications network. The interaction between the parent-children relationship, according to the changes in family life cycle, is also re-focused to seek resolutions for intergenerational conflicts. The results are as follows; Firstly, the changeability of various family types today must be accepted, and the functional aspects of changing families must be emphasized ; Secondly, the mutual-exchanging value of each generation must be accepted, strengthening relational functions between generations; Thirdly, it is necessary to refocus filial piety. In other words, though the intergenerational transmission of family functions may become the basis of lineage and clan formation, it won't be possible without interaction between generation.
As the limitations of professional development programs and individual attempts to improve teaching expertise have been reported, mathematics teachers have operated various types of teacher learning communities as alternative teacher professional programs. A teacher learning community can be considered a Community of Practice(CoP) in that it satisfies three factors of Cop, which are common purpose, mutual participation, and shared repertoire, so the 'learning' of a teacher community can be interpreted based on the theory of CoP. The purpose of this study is to investigate the process of identity development of five mathematics teachers who have been continuously involved in teacher communities. For this, the researcher collected data on the entire process of community activities through participant observation and conducted individual follow-up interviews to explore mathematics teachers' narratives and personal experiences. Results indicated that mathematics teachers experienced the development of practical knowledge related to mathematics teaching and learning, improvement of teaching practice through continuous reflection and introspection, and recognization the shared value of togethering through community immersion. Based on these experiences, implications for the effective operation of learning communities such as national support of teacher learning communities and horizontal and cooperative teacher norms were discussed, and follow-up research was proposed.
Trust and understanding relationship promoted between a therapist and a client is the basic building block to successful recovery. Its importance is not only pertaining to the music therapy but also to counseling and psychological therapy. Because of its gnificance, broad spectrum of research has been conducted for quite a long time. Historically, researches have been focused on therapists or client's chological variables rather than emotional effects on each other that occur during the therapy session. Recently researchers turned their attention to emotional relationship between a therapist and a client. With recent advances in the field of music and psychological therapy, subsequent study has been conducted to investigate the role that music plays in the therapeutic relationship. For this research, eleven music therapy sessions were conducted for the adult females who are alcoholics. The first three sessions were of group therapy. Fourth to eleventh therapy session was done individually. Throughout the research case-by-case study has been conducted on the basis of the analysis of video and audio taped materials. Analysis depends heavily on its reference from the Amir's music research of 1990, which used Ferrara's seven phases of phenomenological study. Especially, verbal and nonverbal communications were closely analyzed in musical perspective. Research revealed that music and musical instruments act as a mediator between a therapist and a client. By doing so, it protects a therapist from unnecessary negative emotional displacements of a client and creates mutual reliability between a therapist and a client. Here, research suggests that music and musical instrument play a central role in building relationship between a therapist and a client, and it indicates that it has positive effect on treatment.
Media-related regulations can be classified into two categories; regulations of individual media contents and regulations regarding the entry to and withdrawal from a certain field. In this dissertation, ownership regulations are regarded as legal and political measures so as to prevent the monopoly and oligopoly of public opinion, and to secure its diversity. Every country has its own regulation model according to its particular media environment. Korea too is obliged to actively respond to its environmental changes, at the same time vitalizing the media industry and protecting consumers' rights and interests. Strong political intentions to protect the public interest is necessary when it comes to media regulation policies, especially in the circumstances that public interest is an industrial priority. As the convergence of broadcasting and telecommunications is leading to a major shift in the media industry, the regulation of cross-media ownership is an issue involving potential conflicts among media-owners, non-governmental organizations and the authorities concerned, depending on their various viewpoints regarding the media industry. In this paper, an attempt was made to search necessity of redefining 'public interest', which is the logic behind the restriction of cross-media ownership, and to reconceptualize issues on the centralization and diversity of media. First, an examination of the actual conditions of newspaper companies was carried out in order to reinvestigate domestic cross-media ownership issues, which is represented by the cross-ownership issue of newspapers and broadcasting stations. Next, the dilemma of policies stimulated by the fusion of media was discussed based on cross-media ownership restrictions, and the need for efficient conflict control was suggested. Finally, proposals on the independency and public confidence of media-related policy-making authorities, the rationalization of regulation models, an itemized discussion on cross-media ownership regulation issues, the elaboration of measures for a balanced development among media were made. It could be found that a number of foreign countries were still facing challenges to prevent monopoly and oligopoly of the public opinion and the industry. A solution to settle disagreements about the dilemma of the media industry, including the cross-media ownership regulation issues, must be arranged on the grounds of 'mutual respect of public interest and industrial interest', In Korea, an ease on the ownership regulations adapting to the change in the media industry may be considered, however the softening of the cross-media ownership regulations must be approached with the utmost care. Paradoxically Relieving cross-media ownership regulations may be considered the foundation of a richer field of journalism, where there is no need for concern over the monopoly and oligopoly of public opinion.
