This paper reports on student, parent, and teacher perspectives of the characteristics of the mathematically gifted. The data are extracted from a two-year qualitative study that examined multiple perspectives, school policy documents and program provision for 15 mathematically gifted and talented students aged from 10 to 13 years. The findings have implications for identification and program provision.

성인기에 발생하는 중도장애나 이혼과 같은 생애위기는 당사자의 독립성이나 상호의존성에 대한 도전을 수반하여 그러한 자기인식과 해석에 변화를 초래할 수 있다. 이 연구는 생애위기 경험자의 그와 같은 자기해석이 복합적일수록 긍정적인 자기특성이 양성되어 심리적 안녕이 높을 것으로 보고, 자기해석의 복합성과 심리적 안녕 간의 관계가 자기긍정성을 구성하는 세 요인, 즉 관점의 다각화, 자기수용, 자기조절에 의해 매개되는 경로를 조사하였다. 편의표집에 의해 서울과 수도권 지역에 거주하는 중도장애인, 이혼인, 일반인 비교집단 총 359명을 조사한 결과, 생애위기 경험집단이 평균적으로 일반인 비교집단에 비해 독립적 자기해석이 높았고, 상호의존적 자기해석이 낮았다. 복합적인 자기해석은 예측대로 의미 발견과 의미 부여를 돕는 관점의 다각화와 밀접하게 연관되었고 이를 통해 자기수용, 자기조절과 같은 긍정적 태도에 기여하였으며, 이 중 관점의 다각화와 자기수용을 통한 경로로 생애위기의 경험여부와 상관없이 응답자들의 심리적 안녕, 즉 긍정적 정서의 경험과 우울과 같은 부정적 정서의 감소를 도왔다. 관점의 다각화가 우울을 직접 낮추는 효과는 예측대로 생애위기 경험집단에서만 나타났고, 긍정적 정서를 양성하는 직접효과는 모든 집단에서 발견되었다. 따라서 관점의 다각화가 생애위기의 경험자들 사이에서는 의미 발견과 긍정적 태도 양쪽에 탄력을 주어 적응과 심리적 안녕을 돕는 반면 일반인들 사이에서는 우선적으로 긍정적 태도, 긍정적 정서 등 긍정성을 키워 심리적 안녕에 기여함을 추론할 수 있었다. 이 연구는 관점의 다각화와 복합적인 자기해석이 역경극복에 동력이 되는 의미 찾기를 도우며 긍정적 태도를 양성하여 생애위기 경험자의 심리적 안녕에 기여하는 기제와 심리적 자원으로 각각 기능할 수 있음을 시사하여, 이를 토대로 사회복지실천을 위한 함의를 논의하였다.

One common roadblock to innovation is the inability to define the problem that needs to be solved. Main contributors to this situation are the complexity of real field and the psychological inertia. 9-Windows can help break the complexity and the psychological inertia. In this article, we attempt to propose how to link resources to space and time framework through 9-Windows. Also, we propose how to use the 9-Windows to find multiple perspectives and explore solutions to a problem. This research is expected to be a vehicle to make an effective use of 9-Windows along with TRIZ, SIT, CT, FMEA and QFD.

이 연구는 여성결혼이민자들의 강점이 될 수 있는 두문화정체성이 관점의 다각화에 기반한 자기긍정성을 도와 결혼만족과 결혼안정으로 대변되는 결혼의 안녕에 기여하는지를 조사하였다. 편의표집에 의해 서울과 수도권 및 광역시에 거주하는 중국과 베트남 출신 결혼이민여성 총 281명을 대상으로 구조 방정식모형분석을 실시한 결과, 한국문화정체성과 모국문화정체성으로 구성된 두문화정체성은 예측대로 관점의 다각화, 자기수용, 자기조절로 구성된 자기긍정성을 도우며 이를 통한 경로와 직접 경로로 결혼의 안녕에 기여하였다. 측정변수들을 이용한 탐색적인 경로분석에서 각각의 문화정체성은 관점다각화를 통해 자기수용 및 자기조절과 연관되었고, 자기수용은 예측대로 결혼만족을 도와 결혼안정에 간접적으로 기여하였지만 결혼안정에 대한 자기조절의 예측된 정적효과는 유의하지 않았다. 관점의 다각화는 결혼만족과 결혼안정을 직접 돕기 보다는 응답자들의 자기수용과 배우자와의 의견일치를 돕는 경로로 그러한 측면을 강화하였다. 한국문화정체성이 결혼의 안녕에 미치는 정적효과는 관점다각화에 따른 자기수용과 배우자와의 의견일치에 의해 매개되었고, 모국문화정체성은 그러한 매개경로와 함께 직접 결혼만족을 돕는 한편 결혼안정을 낮추어 결혼의 안녕에 미치는 효과가 단순하지 않음을 시사하였으나 효과분해에서 각 문화정체성이 결혼의 안녕을 돕는 총효과는 정적으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과들은 두문화정체성이 결혼이민여성들의 긍정적 태도와 결혼의 안녕을 도울 수 있는 심리적 자원이 될 수 있음을 시사하여 이를 토대로 사회복지실천을 위한 함의가 논의되었다.

본 연구는 4개국의 초등학교 수학 교과서 비와 비율 단원에서 어떠한 모델을 사용하고 있는지 알아보고, 비례에 대한 곱셈적 사고와 비례 상황의 구조에 따라 이러한 모델이 교과서에 어떻게 반영되어 있는지 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 한국, 일본, 싱가포르, 미국의 초등학교 5, 6학년 수학 교과서를 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 그림 모델과 비표, 이중수직선, 테이프 다이어그램에서 비례에 대한 곱셈적 사고와 비례 상황의 구조에 따른 차이를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 다중묶음관점에서 변동부분관점으로 이어지는 일본교과서의 전개나 두 가지 이상의 모델이 함께 쓰인 각 나라 교과서의 사례에서 곱셈적 사고의 연결 및 통합 가능성을 찾을 수 있었다. 따라서 학생들의 곱셈적 사고를 신장시키고 측정 공간 내 또는 측정 공간 사이의 비례추론을 지도하기 위해 차기 교과서에서 어떤 종류의 모델을 어떻게 제시하는 것이 효과적일지 좀 더 신중한 검증과 논의가 필요하다.

This study use the influences of parenting style as perceived by and adult child and recognizes gender roles for the purpose of marriage perspectives. I provided a general tendency of parenting style as perceived by and adult child, recognize gender roles, and perspective of marriage to achieve the established goals. We analyzed the relative influence of socio-demographic characteristics, parenting style as perceived by and adult child and recognize gender roles for marriage perspectives. Finally, parenting style as perceived by and adult child are recognized gender roles mediated by the investigated influence of marriage perspectives. We used a structured questionnaire that targeted unmarried men and women 20 to 30 years of age to verify the this study. Data analysis used SPSS ver. 19.0; in addition, we performed reliability, frequency analysis, t-test, hierarchical regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, and variance inflation factor. Looking at these results, both adult children had a higher perception of rearing parents with the usual recognition of gender roles. The analysis indicated a conservative perspective of marriage. Adult children of mothers rearing and recognize gender roles sub-area of masculinity and femininity are perceived to be a significant change observed in marriage perspectives in addition to socio-demographic characteristics of gender and education. However, the relationship between parenting style, as perceived by adult child and marriage perspectives and as analyzed by recognize gender roles, did not have a mediating effect.

조사대상자의 일반적인 특성과 외식 행동 특성은 빈도(N)와 백분율(%)로 나타내었으며, 조사대 상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 인식에 관한 차이를 알아보기 위해 $x^2$-검정을 실시하여 유의성을 검정하였고, 메뉴 선택행동은 요인분석(Factor analysis)을 실시하였으며, 메뉴 선택 요인과 일반적인 특성과의 차이(t-test & ANOVA)를 검정하였고, 건강지향도과 만족도와의 다중회귀분석(Multiple regression analysis)을 실시하였다. 인구통계적 변인들과 메뉴 선택 행동의 차이는 대체로 연령, 학력, 소득 수준이 높을수록 평균이 높게 나타나 웰빙 메뉴 선택 행동에 높은 관여를 보이는 것으로 조사되었으며, 메뉴 선택 행동이 건강지향성과 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 회귀분석결과 식생활 습관성은 건강지향성과 만족도에 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 조사되었다. 따라서 외식기업들은 이러한 집단을 마케팅 목표로 설정하여 그에 맞는 메뉴 개발 및 업체의 컨셉을 정하여 판매 촉진을 개선시키는 것이 바람직하다고 할 수 있다.

A cyber shopping mall is a place where consumers acquire product information, and make purchase decisions in the cyber space. Even though it offers many advantages over traditional malls, there are still several limitations to do shopping in an existing cyber mall. One of these limitations is the absence of an efficient shopping aid to compare multiple items from multiple malls. Existing search systems usually support a keyword search with limited conditions. Consumers spend lots of their time to compare multiple alternatives from search results. In this paper, we propose an intelligent product search system. There are two main features in our system. The first one is a full support of comparison shopping with multiple perspectives based on commercial search engines. The second one is an enhancement to the shopping aid based on a new concept of Shopping AssistanT. Our system is implemented in Visual Basic and PERL, and experimental results show a satisfactory performance.

An outsider's perspective is often illuminating and enlightening, as he or she perceives the world differently from us, and sees things that insiders tend to miss. While an outsider's views are fresh and penetrating, an insider's vision is often banal and myopic. Although outsiders' perspectives may not be quite right at times, they always shed light and provide insight, allowing us to reevaluate the conventional interpretations of our literature and folktales. In order to prevent our own understanding and knowledge from growing stale and narrow-minded, we should endeavor to consider outsiders' opinions and view all things from multiple angles. When reading literary or cultural texts, therefore, we need to read through others' eyes because it provides alternative perspectives. And we should learn to co-exist with others and see things from others' eyes. In his celebrated novel, My Name Is Red, Orhan Pamuk, the Turkish Nobel Laureate, explores the themes of clashes between the East and the West, the young and the old, and conservatism and radicalism. The confrontation between the stubborn defenders of tradition and the self-righteous innovators ultimately results in bigotry, hatred and murder. As Pamuk aptly perceives in his novel, the inevitable outcome of such uncompromising conflict is degradation of humanity and annihilation of human civilization. That is precisely why we need to embrace others who are different from us and learn to look through others' eyes. Sometimes, we fear other voices and different perspectives. As the movie "The Others" suggests, however, there is no reason for us to be afraid of others.
