This study investigated the distribution of subject properties in Korean. Based on the previous studies on so-called 'subjecthood diagnostics' in Korean Multiple Subject Constructions (MSCs), the current study investigates how different subject properties are distributed in single subject constructions (Non-MSCs) and MSCs. Focusing on two distinct subject properties - obligatory control (OC) of PRO and coordinated deletion (CD) - an empirical syntactic experiment was designed to test how these two subjecthood diagnostics behave in the Non-MSC and MSC environments. Seventy Korean native speakers were tested over magnitude estimation task, composed of 80 Korean sentences representing different subject properties in single or multiple subject constructions. Overall results showed (i) both OC and CD can be used as subjecthood diagnostic tests in the Non-MSC environments, but (ii) that only OC can be used as a subjecthood diagnostic test in the MSC environments.

It is an important issue to explore classroom environments which are conducive to developing students' mathematical performance. This study explores the effects of different classroom environments (solution-demand and corresponding-time setting) on mathematical performances. Fourteen and eighteen prospective teachers were required to prove a task under different conditions respectively: a) Cognitive demand of multiple-solution corresponding time of three hours, and b) Cognitive demand of a right solution corresponding time of 20 minutes. We used SOLO as the assessment tool for mathematical performance from quality perspective. Significant differences were found in the quantity and quality of mathematical performance. The regular environment focusing on speed and accuracy were found to be directly linked to low levels of performance. The findings above provide implications to the cognitive benefits of multiple-solution demand and corresponding time setting.

Pre-service teachers (PST) are students who are developing their mindset, persistence, instructional practices, and perception of tasks from two perspectives: as current students and as future teachers. As part of a larger study with PSTs engaged in a mindset intervention, this study quantitatively investigated PSTs mindset and persistence. During professional development (PD), PSTs engaged in multiple strategies (MS) tasks that promoted changes to PSTs mindset and persistence. PSTs' mindset pre- and post- PD were categorized after attending at least 4 interventions as fixed, mixed, or growth using the theory of intelligence, and their persistence as high or low using the Grit-S. Changes in categorization were noticed and explored for reasons of what could be done to make mindset interventions more effective such as consistently using challenging mathematics tasks with more open ended answers and focusing on discussion based mathematical lessons.

This study analyzes the stock assessment of yellow croaker caught mainly by the Korean stow net and gill net fisheries focusing on single species and multiple fisheries. This study standardizes fishing efforts for the two fisheries using the general linear model and uses a surplus production model based on the exponential growth model. The Clarke Yoshimoto Pooley model estimates a maximum sustainable yield(MSY), an allowable biological catch(ABC), fishing efforts for MSY($E_{MSY}$) and for ABC($E_{ABC}$). The bio-economic model is used to estimate the maximum economic yield(MEY) and fishing efforts for MEY($E_{MSY}$). Also, the study employs an economic analysis to estimate the economic interaction between stow net and gill net fisheries. The economic analysis shows the profit accruing to the two fisheries from estimated ABC. Finally, the study compares TACs based on single species and single fishery to TAC based on single species and multiple fisheries. The study proposes that the TAC assessment is necessary for single species and multiple fisheries in order to preserve resources.

The purpose of this study was to develop a reading instruction program which could help improve multiple intelligences related to personality, and then show its effectiveness. We conducted a survey of one junior high school in Chung-Nam province, consisting of 500 students in 18 classes to analyze what develops the three areas of multiple intelligences(intrapersonal intelligence, interpersonal intelligence and naturalist intelligence). We then want to proceed by developing reading instruction programs focusing on the growth of multiple intelligences.

This paper proposes a multiple access method based on Time Reversal Mirror (TRM) technique when the multiple sensor nodes exist. Proposed method increases system sum capacity using energy focusing effects of the TRM. Simulation results show that proposed algorithm obtains higher system sum capacity than Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA), e.g., 27 bps/Hz higher than the OFDMA method when the number of sensor node is 30, the number of transducer is 8, and is SINR 16 dB.

The study aimed to materialize the meaning of the names through analyzing names that have synonyms and ambiguous words. The subjects of the study are seven foreign language study books such as $\ll$譯語類解 Yeokeoyuhae $\gg$ $\ll$譯語類解補編 Yeokeoyuhae - supplementary book$\gg$, $\ll$同文類解 Dongmunyuhae$\ggl$, $\ll$象語類解 Mongeoyuhae$\gg$, $\ll$象語類解補編 Mongeoyuhae- supplementary book$\gg$, $\ll$俊語類解 Oaeeoyuhae$\gg$ and $\ll$方름類釋 Bangeonyuseok$\gg$. The study selected vocabularies related with headgear, socks, clothing from those vocabulary books. The results are as follows: 1. The result focusing on the same Chinese terms in multiple forms has shown that '帽子(Moja), 斗逢(Dubong), 頭面(Dumyen), 襪(Mal), 木?(Mokgeuk), 　據子(Nanmalja), 樓子(Oja), 小樓子(Sooja), 養衣(Saui), 團領(Danlyeng), 掛子(Goija), 齊肩掛(Jegyengae), 彩兒(Sama), 單補(Dango)' have differences in Korean annotations, and it has been found that these differences are spelt as synonyms in general. 2. The result focusing on the same Korean terms in multiple forms has shown that Gamto, Gat, Satgat, Bolkki, Gatmo, Neoneol, Gatdongot, Ddambatgijeoksam, Nuyeok, Tyeollik, Goui, Baji, Gatdongot, Hatot, Dongdoljji, Yusam, Chima and ete. have 2 or more Chinese spellings. Among these, Neoneol, Ddambatgijeoksam, Nuyeok, Tyeollik, and etc. seem to have used similar Chinese spellings, and Gat, Dongdoljji, and etc. seem to have used Chinese spellings according to the multiple forms in each country. 3. There have also been records of terms seldom used at present such as Dalogi, Neoneol, and etc., and it has been found that Mahulae, Doljji, Dunja, and etc. are the terms have been geographically influenced by the northern race as they have been left as a dialect in North Korea currently. 4. Mahulae, Kulimae, Neolku, and etc. may be inferred as they have originated from Manchu language through pronunciation of each country spelt in translated books.

A new concept of adaptive focusing, using a Rotman lens, is presented in this paper. A Rotman lens is a microwave lens which is able to focus microwave power on its focal arc or generate multiple beams. By adding the array of phase shifters between a Rotman lens and antenna elements, the wavefront can be adaptively modulated to focus objects distributed in short range rather than far-field zone. From the optical point of view, the propagations of the lens have been simplified from the Fresnel diffraction integral to the Fourier transform. Using Fourier Transform, a beam propagation method has been developed to show improvement of the resolution by controlling wavefront of wave propagating from an aperture-type antenna array. The beam width(or spot size) and intensity have been calculated for a focused beam propagating from an array having $10{\lambda}$ of its size. For the beam with $20{\lambda},\;30{\lambda}$, and $50{\lambda}$ of geometrical focal length, the half-power beamwidth (spot size) is about $1.1{\lambda},\;1.3{\lambda}$, and $1.9{\lambda}$, respectively.

As terrorist organizations like ISIL and Al-Qaeda attack multiple-use facilities such as subways and department stores that many unknown citizens are using, the fear and anxiety are expanding. If international terrorism occurs in Korea, it may attack multiple-use facilities. Therefore, we need to have countermeasures against the attack. However, as the concept of multiple-use facilities has multi-faceted meanings and the scope is wide, there is a limitation in the preparation for international terrorism. In this study, it was tried to find the solution through reviewing the multiple-use facilities related laws. First of all, as the multiple-use facilities related laws were legislated by government organizations according to the necessities, the concept and scope are very inclusive. Therefore, it is possible to have controversies on the scope of the review related to anti-terrorism. Next, the department responsible for the international terrorism is not clear, which can make issue of rights and responsibility. To overcome such limitations, this study tried to set the concept and scope of multiple-use facilities and discussed the issue of the responsible department.
