In this study the classified researches the artificial and natural flaws in welding parts are performed using the pattern recognition technology. For this purpose the signal pattern recognition package including the user defined function was developed and the total procedure including the digital signal processing feature extraction feature selection and classifi-er selection is teated by bulk,. Specially it is composed with and discussed using the statistical classifier such as the linear discriminant function the empirical Bayesian classifier. Also the pattern recognition technology is applied to classifica-tion problem of natural flaw(i.e multiple classification problem-crack lack of penetration lack of fusion porosity and slag inclusion the planar and volumetric flaw classification problem), According to this result it is possible to acquire the recognition rate of 83% above even through it is different a little according to domain extracting the feature and the classifier.

In this paper, we propose an angle estimator that is designed to be applied to Bluetooth low-power application technology based on multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm, and present the result of implementation in FPGA. The MUSIC algorithm is designed for H/W high-speed design because it requires a lot of calculations due to high accuracy, and the snapshot variable is designed to cope with various resolution requirements of indoor systems. As a result of the implementation with Xilinx zynq-7000, it was confirmed that 9,081 LUTs were implemented, and it was designed to operate at =the operating frequency of 100MHz.

Pattern classification extracts various types of pattern information expressing objects in the real world and decides their class. The top priority of pattern classification technologies is to improve the performance of classification and, for this, many researches have tried various approaches for the last 40 years. Classification methods used in pattern classification include base classifier based on the probabilistic inference of patterns, decision tree, method based on distance function, neural network and clustering but they are not efficient in analyzing a large amount of multi-dimensional data. Thus, there are active researches on multiple classifier systems, which improve the performance of classification by combining problems using a number of mutually compensatory classifiers. The present study identifies problems in previous researches on multiple SVM classifiers, and proposes BORSE, a model that, based on 1:M policy in order to expand SVM to a multiple class classifier, regards each SVM output as a signal with non-linear pattern, trains the neural network for the pattern and combine the final results of classification performance.

The Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) system based on Angle-of-Arrival(AOA) estimation, interference suppression, and transmission beamforming techniques is a cutting edge technology for efficiently collecting various signal information. In this paper, we present the efficient structure of a satellite system consisted of an AOA estimator, an adaptive beamformer, a signal processing and D/B unit, and a transmission beamformer, for collecting signal information. For accurately estimating AOAs of various signals, efficiently suppressing interference or jamming signals, and efficiently transmitting the collected information or data, we employ Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC), Minimum Variance Distortionless Response (MVDR), and Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) algorithms, respectively. Also, we evaluate and analysis the performance of the presented satellite system through the computer simulation.

The signal intelligence (SIGINT) technology is actively used for collecting various data, in a number of fields, including a military industry. In order to collect the signal information and data and to transmit/receive the collected data efficiently, the accurate angle-of-arrival (AOA) information is required and communication disturbance from the interference or jamming signal should be minimized. In this paper, we present the structure of an adaptive beam-forming satellite system based on the planar array antenna, for collecting and transmitting/receiving the signal information and data efficiently. The presented adaptive beam-forming system consists of an antenna in the form of a planar array, an AOA estimator based on the Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm, an adaptive Minimum Variance Distortionless Response (MVDR) interference canceler, a signal processing and D/B unit, and a transmission beamformer based on Minimum mean Square Error (MMSE). In addition, through the computer simulation, we evaluate and analyze the performance of the proposed system.

In this paper, we propose a method to improve the performance of the direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation of a speech source using a multiple signal classification (MUSIC)-based algorithm. Basically, the proposed algorithm utilizes a complex coefficient band pass filter to generate the narrow band signals for signal analysis. Also, reverberation component reduction and quadratic function-based response approximation in MUSIC spatial spectrum are utilized to improve the accuracy of DOA estimation. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the well-known generalized cross-correlation (GCC)-based DOA estimation algorithm in the aspect of the estimation error and success rate, respectively.Abstract should be placed here. These instructions give you guidelines for preparing papers for JICCE.
Several algorithms for nuclear power plant (NPP) break event detection, isolation, localization, and size estimation are proposed. A break event can be promptly detected and isolated after its occurrence by simultaneously monitoring changes in the sensing readings and by employing an interquartile range-based isolation scheme. By considering the multi-sensor data block of a break to be rank-one, it can be located as the position whose lead field vector is most orthogonal to the noise subspace of that data block using the Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm. Owing to the flexibility of deep neural networks in selecting the best regression model for the available data, we can estimate the break size using multiple-sensor recordings of the break regardless of the sensor types. The efficacy of the proposed algorithms was evaluated using the data generated by Maanshan NPP simulator. The experimental results demonstrated that the MUSIC method could distinguish two near breaks. However, if the two breaks were close and of small sizes, the MUSIC method might wrongly locate them. The break sizes estimated by the proposed deep learning model were close to their actual values, but relative errors of more than 8% were seen while estimating small breaks' sizes.

The MUSIC (MUltiple SIgnal Classification) method estimates the directions of arrival (DOAs) of the signals impinging on a sensor array based on the fact that the noise subspace is orthogonal to the signal subspace. In the conventional MUSIC, an estimate of the basis for the noise subspace is obtained by eigendecomposing the sample matrix, which is computationally expensive. In this paper, we present a simple DOA estimation method which finds an estimate of the signal subspace basis directly from the columns of the sample matrix from which the noise power components are removed. DOA estimates are obtained by searching for minimum points of a cost function which is defined using the estimated signal subspace basis. The minimum points are efficiently found through the Brent method which employs parabolic interpolation. Simulation shows that the simple estimation method virtually has the same performance as the complex conventional method based on the eigendecomposition.

Pattern classification of single and multiple discharge sources was applied using a wavelet image signal method in which a feature extraction was applied using a hidden sub-image. A feature extracting method that used vertical and horizontal images using an MSD method was applied to an averaging process for the scale of pulses for the phase. A feature extracting process for the preprocessing of the input of a neural network was performed using an inverse transformation of the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal sub-images. A back propagation algorithm in a neural network was used to classify defective signals. An algorithm for wavelet image processing was developed. In addition, the defective signal was classified using the extracted value that was quantified for the input of a neural network.
In the present study, we proposed a new subspace scanning algorithm to enhance the spatial resolution of electroencephalography (EEG) and magnetoencephalography(MEG) source localization. Subspace scanning algorithms, represented by the multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm and the first principal vector (FINE) algorithm, have been widely used to localize asynchronous multiple dipolar sources in human cerebral cortex. The conventional MUSIC algorithm used principal component analysis (PCA) to extract the noise vector subspace, thereby having difficulty in discriminating two or more closely-spaced cortical sources. The FINE algorithm addressed the problem by using only a part of the noise vector subspace, but there was no golden rule to determine the number of noise vectors. In the present work, we estimated a non-orthogonal signal vector set using independent component analysis (ICA) instead of using PCA and performed the source scanning process in the signal vector subspace, not in the noise vector subspace. Realistic 2D and 3D computer simulations, which compared the spatial resolutions of various algorithms under different noise levels, showed that the proposed ICA-MUSIC algorithm has the highest spatial resolution, suggesting that it can be a useful tool for practical EEG/MEG source localization.
