In this paper, a compact MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) antenna for smart glasses is proposed. The proposed MIMO antenna is designed using T-shaped isolator inserted between two closely located Inverted-F Antenna(IFA) and using two slots located in the ground for isolation enhancement and impedance matching characteristic. The proposed antenna has only the overall dimensions of $35mm{\times}9mm{\times}0.8mm$ and operates in the 2.4 GHz industrial, scientific, and medical(ISM) band. To verify human body effect, the phantom is used for antenna performance. The measured specific absorption rate(SAR) value is 1.38 W/kg with an input power of 18 dBm. The performance of the proposed antenna is compared with that of previous works for verification.

An orthogonal code hopping multiplexing (OCHM) technique has been proposed for accommodating a large number of users with low channel activities than the number of orthogonal codewords through statistical multiplexing in downlink cellular systems. In this paper, a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna based OCHM system is proposed to improve the performance. Each modulated symbol is repeated N times and the N repeated symbols are transmitted simultaneously using N transmit antennas. Through repetitions, the effect of perforations that the OCHM system experiences is decentralized among the repeated symbols and the full perforation probability is significantly reduced. Each receiver detect the transmitted signal using its pre-assigned code hopping pattern. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme saves the required energy for a given frame error rate (FER).

In this paper, we propose an simplified successive minimum mean square error ($S^{2}MMSE$) algorithm that can simplify the computational complexity for precoding matrix generation in the successive minimum mean square error (SMMSE) precoding method, which is adopted as a multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) precoding technique in the IST (information society technologies)-WINNER (wireless world initiative new radio) project. The original algorithm generates the precoding matrix by calculating all individual precoding vectors with each requiring its own MMSE nulling matrix, over all receive antennas for all users. In contrast, this proposed algorithm first calculates the MMSE nulling matrix for each user, and then calculates all precoding vectors for respective receive antennas of the corresponding user by using the identical MMSE nulling matrix, in which only a simple matrix-vector multiplication is required for each vector. Consequently, it can simplify significantly the computational complexity to generate a precoding matrix for SMMSE precoding.
Space-time code is a good solution to get transmit diversity. During the last years a number of space-time block codes have been proposed for use in multiple transmit antenna systems. This code, however, was presented only for the special case of the certain numbers of transmit antennas and the certain modulation schemes. and designed under the assumption that the transmitter has no knowledge about the channel. In this work, on the other hand, we consider the case when the transmitter has partial, but not perfect knowledge about the channel. This system can have full diversity for arbitrary number of the transmit antennas with a little bits of feedback.

A simple measurement system is built to estimate the dual-antenna diversity gain at 2.4GHz easily in open lab environment. To obtain multipath fading propagation channel, the system consists of two transmission horn that placed on opposite direction and a rotating stage mechanically changing the position of test dual-antenna with time over distance greater than one wavelength. Estimated diversity is nearly same as theoretical value such that measured diversity gain of 30mm separated is about 6dB similar to theoretical value of 5.7dB and increases monotonically with the increasing separation distance as predicted by the theory. Proposed measurement system that is simple enough to fit in a small space can evaluate the performance of various dual-antennas with a reasonable accuracy with lower 5% difference between the ten sets of measured waveform distribution and theoretical Rayleigh cumulative distribution.
Adaptive array antenas have emerged as a useful technique to enhance the cell capacity of mobile communications. In this research, to analyze the noncoherent CDMA systems employing adaptive array antennas, we modeled the transmitting signal of CDMA systems using M-ary orthogonal modulation. And we induced the conditional probability density function about the decision variable, the output of 2D-RAKE receiver and mean symbol error prabability through statistical analysis about MAI(Multiple Access Interference), SI(Self Interference) and Noise. Also, we analyzed the charateristics of adaptive array antenna for noncoherent CDMA systems using M-ary orthogonal modulation according to the distance between the array elements, doppler frequency and AOS(Angle of Spread).

Two antennas system which is aligned in cross direction is tested and analyzed. The main scope is focused to get an appropriated distance between the two small antennas to get a better property. The theoretical expectation and the computer simulation are executed simultaneously. The target is the folded IF antenna system printed on PCB, but the ideal dipole-antenna arrangement is also tested to verify the possibility of our implementation. And it is finally proved by experiments.

In this paper, the microstrip anntenna with broad bandwidth is designed using parasitic element. In the designed cofiguration, parasitic element of the same resonating length but different width which is coupled to the nonradiating edge of a rectangular patch antenna. The driven element aloe is fed and the other part is operated as parasitic element. So the different patchs are resonating at differnt frequencies and this multiple resonance increase the bandwidth. The overall size of the antenna is not increased by adding parasitic element to a driven patch. Compared to the available wideband microstrip antennas, the designed antenna structure is bery compact. A theoretical explanation of the rectangular patch antenna coupled with prarsitic is analyzed by extending the theory of coupled microstrip lines. The theoretical and experimental results for a patch coupled with a single parasitic are presented.
In this paper, the natural space-time coding is applied for a DS-CDMA system with multiple transmit/receive antennas in a Rayleigh fading channel. With difference of arrival times from transmit antennas a modified maximum likelihood (ML) decoding algorithm is proposed for the space-time coded DS-CDMA system. The proposed decoding algorithm performs ML decoding over the transition of two consecutive branches by using a modified branch metric with the partial autocorrelation. By simulation, it is shown that the proposed decoding algorithm achieves significant performance improvement over the ML decoding algorithm without the modified branch metric.

Algorithms based on the QR decomposition of the equivalent space-time channel matrix have been proved useful in the detection of V-BLAST systems. Especially, the parallel detection (PD) algorithm offers ML approaching performance up to 4 transmit antennas with reasonable complexity. We show that when directly applied to STBCs, the PD algorithm may suffer a rather significant SNR degradation over ML detection, especially at high SNRs. However, simply extending the PD algorithm to allow p ${\geq}$ 2 candidate layers, i.e. p-PD, regains almost all the loss but only at a significant increase in complexity. Here, we propose a simplification to the p-PD algorithm specific to STBCs without a corresponding sacrifice in performance. The proposed algorithm results in significant complexity reductions for moderate to high order modulations.
