A Study for Animation Using 3D Laser Scanned Body Data (인체 전신 레이저 스캔 데이터를 대상으로 한 인체 애니메이션 연구)

  • An implementation of animation module using the 3D body data scanned by laser scanner is reported in this paper. Characteristic points of the skeleton in human body were picked up as pivot point for 3D rotation. The body data set wes reconstructed as objects built in hierarchical tree structure, which is based on skeleton model. In order to implement the 3D animation of the laser scanned body data, the vertexes of the objects were connected as skeleton structure and animated to follow dynamic patterns inputted by user.

  • A database is an organized collection of data, today typically in digital form. The data are typically organized to model relevant aspects of reality, in a way that supports processes requiring this information. A good database is designed for a specific use and is constructed with the possibility of growth. In this project, we collect music education data of the East Asia and try to build a database that can share the primary data based on this collection. Hence we can provide opportunity to study about Korea modern music and culture in a broader perspective. In this paper, we explore the database construction methodology for implementing on this project and we see over about data entry and management.

Retransmission Scheme to Guarantee QoS for Multimedia Receivers in Multicast Environments (멀티캐스트 환경에서 멀티미디어 수신노드의 QoS를 보장하는 재전송 기법)

  • Multicast can send one copy of each packet to each member of the multicast group. Network resource is utilized effectively, consequently, it is suitable for one-to-many environments. reliability and flow control, however, are not supported basically, it is not suitable or transmission of multimedia data which have a time restriction. In this paper, we present a network model and a multicast retransmission scheme The proposed scheme remove ack-explosion from sender through local recovery and performs local retransmission when time restriction is satisfied on receiver by considering the state of receiver's buffer. Mathematical analysis and simulation are conducted to prove performance of the proposed scheme. The results are shown that the proposed scheme consumes a lower network bandwidth than the existing network model and guarantees QoS of receivers.

  • SMIL supports synchronization and nice screen form environments among various multimedia data. Thus it is utilized widely in the fields of internet virtual lecture, internet broadcasting, and so on. Those kinds of system which can be applied flexibly in spite of the change of environments are required continuously with important issue, and depending upon the trends the function of SMIL is upgraded step by step. In this paper main function of SMIL is analyzed and modeled depending upon object oriented methodology. Also I propose some class model which is inspired iron service combinator. Suggested class model can be tuned by user easily if he wants to optimize system environments.

  • Recently, due to the proliferation of smartphones, users of mobile multimedia services which are based on wireless internet without constraint of the time and places are significantly increased. In this study, considering the characteristics of mobile multimedia and the user behavior, we analyse the factors which have an effect on the behavioral intention to use the mobile multimedia services. For this purpose, we use the model which is based on Technology Accepted Model (TAM) and add two constructs; the perceived enjoyment and the perceived risk. A survey data for 280 students at the K cyber university is used for statistical analysis As a result, the perceived ease of use affects the perceived usefulness and the perceived enjoyment, and the perceived ease of use. And the perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment affect continuous intention to use. On the other hand, the hypothesis which the perceived risk would affect adversely the continuous intention to use is rejected. Through this study, we expect to provide the useful implications for the mobile multimedia services and contribute to the development of strategy for them.

  • These days, home network connects all home appliances using one of broadband convergence network, is constructed and propagated to more than 10 million house hold. Users can monitor and control statuses of home appliances using mobile terminal through homeserver. For active propagation of home network, high-quality multimedia service is very important. Specially, as digital recorder and digital camera is propagated, new paradigm that private DVDs can be shared in many household shows up. The homeserver is the main part of UbiHome, which can store much multimedia content and through which the user can search and share these contents. For searching and sharing, the metadata of contents is supposed to keep the consistency. These metadata include the description to different format such as Image, movie, and music. Therefore, we intend to provide a RDF model for effectively storing, searching and managing high-quality contents in UbiHome. In this paper, we propose to make Ontology to close semantic approach using RDF/RDF Schema for managing multimedia data in UbiHome. we propose RDF-Based Local Ontology and merging these ontology to RDF-Based Global Ontology.

  • 본 논문에서는 동영상 정보의 효율적인 관리를 위해 주석 기반 검색과 내용 기반 검색을 통합적으로 지원하는 통합 동영상 데이터 모델(Integrated Video Data Model, IVDM)를 제안한다. IVDM은 동영상 자료를 계층적으로 구조화하여 상위 수준에서는 의미 단위와 세그먼트 단위로 주석 기반 검색을 지원하고, 하위 수준에서는 이미지 인덱싱을 이용한 내용 기반 검색을 지원한다. 우리는 이 IVDM을 이용하여 MPEG-2로 압축된 동영상 정보를 관리하는 시스템(Integrated Video Information Management System, IVIMS)을 개발한다.

  • 이미지 데이터베이스를 구성하여 사용자가 원하는 정보를 추출하는 의미 기반 검색을 지원하기 위해서는 이미지 내용에 관한 의미 정보들이 데이터 모델로 구조화되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 정적 이미지 내용 정보들에 대한 내용 기반 검색과 의미 기반 검색을 제공하는 이미지 데이터 모델을 소개하고 이를 이용하여 이미지가 담고 있는 의미 정보를 표현하고 데이터베이스 스키마로 변환하여 저장하는 구조와 검색하는 방법을 소개한다. 본 이미지 데이터 모델은 이미지내에 포함된 시각 객체들의 내용 정보를 그래프 구조로 표현하고 객체들간의 의미 관계를 정의한다. 이는 이미지 내용에 대한 정확한 정보 표현과 질의와 검색을 가능하게 한다.

  • In this paper, data rate of VDSL system was analyzed in noise and crosstalk environment. For this paper, Matlab tool was used to analyze the performance of VDSL system. Various "VDSL Test Loop" are used which is suggested by ANSI DSL Standard group T1E1.4. Many parameters, "Noise Model A", "Noise Model F", duplex method VDSL-998 which is suggested FDD plan by ANSI was used. The most of conditions for simulation are followed to the ANSI Standard "Spectrum management" Lots of data have been obtained according to the different conditions of the test loops. The result shows that the data rate of VDSL system is decreased due to the other DSL signals in the same cable bundle. And also there was more reduced data rate in case of Noise Model F than that of Noise Model A.

  • This paper introduces a Petri Net-based multimedia programming method. For this purpose, we are proposing MPN(Multimedia Petri Net) which can be used for representing a multimedia scenario. We are also introducing methods to analyze a MPN with which we can detect some kinds of design faults in the scenario. A multimedia program replays the scenario by interpreting the MPN. A method to implement such a multimedia program is also discussed. Our multimedia program provides the manipulation functions of stop, play, fast forward. rewind, and fast rewind. There are many varieties of Petri Net. Several of them are for modeling multimedia scenarios. They all have been used for synchronization analysis. But none of them were used for replaying multimedia scenario. We have extended these nets to MPN. A MPN model contains not only the flow of a scenario but also all the information associated with the data units. Therefore, our player can play the multimedia scenario by interpreting the MPN.
