  • 본 연구는 '천수용 다기능 해양폐기물 수거시스템 개발(PART I 초기 개념설계)'의 후속연구로서, 천수용 다기능 해양폐기물 수거시스템의 시스템 구성 및 성능시험 결과에 대하여 논한다(조[2003]). 수거깊이 15미터 이내의 항내 침적폐기물의 수거를 위한 다관절 수거시스템과 100미터 이내의 예인식 수거시스템이 개발되었다(해양수산부[2001]). 다관절 수거시스템은 부유폐기물, 침적 잔여폐기물의 수거, 작업의 고효율화를 위한 스틸와이어커터 시스템도 포함이 되어 다기능화 되어있다. 이 시스템의 시제품을 제작하여 수심이 낮은 해역에서 실해역 시운전을 수행, 시스템의 성능검증을 수행하였다. 결과로서, 개발된 시스템은 안전하고 원활하게 작동되어 시스템의 타당성을 입증하였다.

  • Spent fuel decladding device and dry voloxidizer is to separate the spent pellet from spent fuel rod cut by 250mm and to convert the spent pellet into powder form for reuse and/or disposal of the spent fuel. There are two methods in decladding and voloxidation of spent fuel, that is, wet method with chemical material and dry method with mechanical device. In this study, to examine the fuel rod decladding process and the pellet voloxidation process, the devices for the spent fuel decladding and the pellet voloxidation with dry method are developed. The decladding machine is designed to separate pellets from fuel rod by slitting device. And, the voloxidizer is designed to convert the spent pellet which is ceramic form into powder form by oxidation using the multi step mesh, vibrator, and air in the high temperature environment. The result of this study, such as operation condition et., will be utilized in the design of the machine for demonstration.

RFID Reader용 멀티 프로토콜 모뎀 설계 (Implementation of a Multi-Protocol Baseband Modem for RFID Reader)

  • Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is an automatic identification method. Information such as identification, logistics history, and specification of products are written and stored into the memory of RFID tags (that is, transponders), and retrieved through RF communication between RFID reader device and RFID tags. RFID systems have been applied to many fields of transportation, industry, logistics, environment, etc in order to improve business efficiency and reduce maintenance cost as well. Recently, some research results are announced in which RFID devices are combined with other sensors for mobile robot localization. In this paper, design of multi-protocol baseband for RFID reader device is proposed, and the baseband modem is implemented into SoC (System On a Chip). The baseband modem SoC for multi-protocol RFID reader is composed of several IP (Intellectual Property) blocks such as multi-protocol blocks, CPU, UART(Universal Asynchronous Receiver and Transmitter), memory, etc. As a result, the SoC implemented with FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) is applied to real product. It is shown that the size of RFID Reader module designed with the FPGA becomes smaller, and the SoC chip price for the same function becomes cheap. In addition, operation performance could be the same or better than that of the product with no SoC applied.

  • Intelligent Space defines an environment where many intelligent devices, such as computers and sensors, are distributed. As a result of the cooperation between smart devices, intelligence emerges from the environment. In such scheme, a crucial task is to obtain the global location of every device in order to of for the useful services. Some tracking systems often prepare the models of the objects in advance. It is difficult to adopt this model-based solution as the tracking system when many kinds of objects exist. In this paper the location is achieved with no prior model, using color properties as information source. Feature vectors of multiple objects using color histogram and tracking method are described. The proposed method is applied to the intelligent environment and its performance is verified by the experiments.

다중 위상 처리구조를 갖는 온실 복합환경제어 알고리즘 설계 (A Design of Greenhouse Control Algorithm with the Multiple-Phase Processing Scheme)

  • 본 연구는 온실환경의 변화 정도에 따라 환경제어 구동기를 조합하고 제어할 수 있게 하는 다중 위상 처리구조를 갖는 온실 복합환경제어 알고리즘을 설계하고 검증한다. 복합환경제어 시스템은 온실 내외부에 설치된 센서들이 감지한 정보를 복합환경제어기가 분석하여 작물 생육 환경이 유지되도록 각종 구동기를 복합적으로 작동시키는 시스템이다. 복합환경제어기는 복합환경제어 알고리즘으로 제어를 지시하는데, 복합환경제어 알고리즘은 측정장치의 입력값, 구동장치의 상태값, 초기 설정값 등으로 구동기 제어장치 운영에 필요한 결과값을 산출한다. 기존의 알고리즘들은 대부분 반복주기별로 구동기 제어장치들의 제어절차를 단일 위상에서 수행하는데, 산출값의 오차로 인해 온실환경에 이상변화를 일으킬 수 있다. 제안한 알고리즘은 환경통제, 환경조절, 장치운영이라는 다중 위상에 제어절차를 분산하였다. 즉 매 반복주기 마다 먼저 환경통제 위상에서 환경변화를 감지하고, 다음으로 환경조절 위상에서 해당 환경을 조절할 수 있는 구동기 제어장치들을 조합하며, 마지막으로 장치운영 위상에서 구동기 제어장치가 제어하는데 필요한 제어값을 산출한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 온실 환경요소와 구동기 제어장치 간의 관계를 분석한 결과를 기반으로 하여 설계되었다. 검증 분석에 의하면, 다중 위상 처리구조는 구동기 제어장치의 설정값을 수정 또는 보완할 수 있는 여지를 제공하고, 관련된 환경요소의 변화를 한꺼번에 반영한 구동기 제어장치의 운영을 가능하게 한다. 또한 이 구조는 기존 조건 기반 복합환경제어 알고리즘 개선에 적용할 수 있어서 최적 온실환경 조성을 목표로 하는 복합환경제어 시스템의 개발에 기여할 것이다.

Wireless Channel Management Scheme for ASMD Groups in Wireless N-screen Services

  • In this paper, a Wireless USB (WUSB) protocol is adopted for development of ASMD (Adaptive Source Multi Device) N-screen wireless services. WUSB is the USB technology merged with WiMedia PHY and Distributed-MAC (D-MAC). However, the current WUSB protocol can't provide seamless N-screen streaming services to moving WUSB devices in home network environment. Therefore, to provide the ASMD N-screen services through WUSB based on D-MAC protocol, a channel management scheme is proposed to support seamless mobility between adjacent ASMD groups for wireless IPTV N-screen services. In simulation results, proposed ASMD channel management (ACM) scheme is compared with conventional WUSB channel management scheme in view points of throughput, average path interference and energy consumption according to various numbers of nodes and elapsed simulation times. Through simulation results, it is explained that proposed ASMD channel management (ACM) scheme should be adopted in the WUSB protocol to realize ASMD N-screen wireless services.

스마트팩토리에서 다중장치기반 실시간 장비 모니터링 및 이력관리 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Real Time Device Monitoring and History Management System based on Multiple devices in Smart Factory)

  • 스마트팩토리는 공장 내 장비에 센서를 부착하여 각종 데이터를 실시간으로 수집, 분석 및 모니터링함으로써 스스로 공정을 제어 및 통제하는 미래형 공장이다. 스마트팩토리에서 장비의 상태 및 이력을 현장에서 실시간으로 조회 및 생성하는 것은 매우 중요한 일이며 다양한 스마트 기기의 등장은 이것을 보다 효율적으로 수행할 수 있게 하고 있다. 본 논문은 실시간으로 장비의 상태 및 이력을 생성, 조회, 삭제 할 수 있는 다중장치 기반 시스템을 제안한다. 제안 시스템은 공장이라는 특수한 환경을 고려하여 안드로이드 시스템과 스마트 글래스 시스템을 동시에 사용한다. 스마트 글래스 시스템은 장비 인식을 위해 QR코드를 이용하였으며 음성 인식 기능을 이용하여 보다 효율적인 작업환경을 제공한다. 다중장치기반 실시간 장비 모니터링을 위한 시스템 구조를 설계하였으며 안드로이드 시스템, 스마트 글래스 시스템 및 웹 애플리케이션 서버를 구현함으로써 실용성을 보이겠다.

Teleloperation of Field Mobile Manipulator with Wearable Haptic-based Multi-Modal User Interface and Its Application to Explosive Ordnance Disposal

  • This paper describes a wearable multi-modal user interface design and its implementation for a teleoperated field robot system. Recently some teleoperated field robots are employed for hazard environment applications (e.g. rescue, explosive ordnance disposal, security). To complete these missions in outdoor environment, the robot system must have appropriate functions, accuracy and reliability. However, the more functions it has, the more difficulties occur in operation of the functions. To cope up with this problem, an effective user interface should be developed. Furthermore, the user interface is needed to be wearable for portability and prompt action. This research starts at the question: how to teleoperate the complicated slave robot easily. The main challenge is to make a simple and intuitive user interface with a wearable shape and size. This research provides multi-modalities such as visual, auditory and haptic sense. It enables an operator to control every functions of a field robot more intuitively. As a result, an EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) demonstration is conducted to verify the validity of the proposed wearable multi-modal user interface.

임베디드 리눅스 기반의 전자 칠판 시스템 개발 (Development of Electronic White-board Based on Embedded Linux)

  • Recently, most embedded systems have the multi-functions mixed the hardware with the software. The existing sequence programming methods are not suitable to implement the embedded system with multi-functions. So, it can be overcome the limit of a facility implementation by introducing the operating system in system. Also, due to the requirement about the better convenient and comfortable meeting or lecture environment, the necessity of electronic white-board is getting higher. Specially, the education using multimedia information is much more desirable for various and improved lecture at the high school and the university. But the sequence program which have been managed in existing electronic white-board system has some difficulties to achieve the software-oriented systems which has to accomplish many functions. In this paper, we propose the method to implement a facility of electronic white-board through using the embedded linux with excellent performance. The embedded linux presents the powerful software environment for the implementation of an embedded system and makes the realization of many various functions easy because it follows kernel characteristics of linux. In this paper, we describe the details for the structure of hardware, kernel source and device driver of a developed electronic white-board.

다관절 조작기의 그래픽 시뮬레이션 (Graphic Simulation of the Multi-joint Manipulator)

  • In this study, the graphic simulation system of multi joint manipulator is developed to analyze and optimize the remote handling processes for the spent fuel assembly. This system consists of a 3-D graphical modeling system, a device assembling system, and a motion simulation system. To analyze and optimize the processes involved in multi-joint manipulator operation such as NFBC transportation process and bottom nozzle removal process, the virtual work place is implemented using a computer graphic technology. This virtual workcell is exactly same as that of the real environment. This graphic simulation system of the multi-joint manipulator can be effectively used for designing the main processes and maintenance processes of the spent fuel management.
