Simultaneous Control of DC-DC Converters by DSP Controller

  • This paper presents a multi output converter system that controls, simultaneously and independently, the separate Buck converter and Boost converter with the different specification by one DSP digital controller. As two separate converters are regulated by only one DSP, it is possible to achieve the simple digital control circuit for regulating the multi output DC-DC converter. By setting the software switch state, PI or Fuzzy controller can be applied as a controller for each converter without any change of hardware. Also, PI and Fuzzy control characteristics of each DC-DC converter is validated by experimental results.

  • In this paper, we delelop 4-axis motion controller using TMS320c30 DSP chip and build a 5-axis vertical articulated robot control system. The 4-aixs controller uses a DSP, a high-speed AID and a D/A converter to implement advanced robot control algorithms. The robot control system uses VME-bus and VxWorks realtime multi-tasking operating system. We use RCCL type to implement robot languages.

  • 전력 외란을 해결하기 위해서는 전력 계통의 전원 측과 부하 측 양단에서 전력 성분의 측정이 요구된다. 본 논문은 전원 측과 부하 측 양단에서 동시에 전력 성분을 측정하고 분석할 수 있는 DSP(디지털 신호 처리 장치) 기반의 다채널(전압 8채널, 전류 10채널) 전력 성분 측정 시스템을 제안하였다. 개발된 시스템은 YOKOGAWA 2558을 이용하여 전압과 전류를 보정한 후, 전력 계통 현장에서 실험하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티채널 라이브 가라오케의 구현에 관한 내용을 담고 있다. TI사의 32비트 floating 연산 DSP인 TMS320C6713를 이용하여 6 채널의 MP3 복호화 및 템포/키 변환을 실시간으로 구현하였다. 6채널은 전면 L/R 악기, 후면 L/R 악기, 멜로디, 우퍼로 구성되며, 4 채널로 동작 시에는 후면 L/R 대신 드럼 L/R이 추가될 수 있다. 최종 출력 데이터는 5.1 채널 스피커에 맞춰서 출력된다. 템포 변환을 위하여 SOLA알고리즘을 적용시켰으며 시간영역에서 인터폴레이션(interpolation)과 데시메이션 (decimation)으로 키 변환을 수행하였다. 드럼 악기가 추가될 경우에는 일반악기와 분리하여 키 변환 시에 드럼 채널을 제외시키고, SOLA (Synchronized Overlap and Add) 수행 시에도 SOLA처리 단위인 프레임 사이즈를 다르게 두어 고음질의 템포 변환이 가능하도록 하였으며, 실시간 처리를 위하여 최적화를 하였다 6 채널을 이용하여 다양한 채널 구성이 가능하며 본 논문의 멀티채널 오디오 시스템은 고음질의 라이브 반주가 필요한 어느 곳에서나 효과적으로 적용될 수 있다.

Design and Implementation of a DSP-Based Multi-Channel Power Measurement System

  • In order to improve energy efficiency and solve power disturbances, power components measurement for both the supply and demand side of a power system must be implemented before appropriate action on the power problems can be taken. This paper presents a DSP (Digital Signal Processor)-based multi-channel (voltage 8-channel and current 10-channel) power measurement system that can simultaneously measure and analyze power components for both supply and demand. Voltage 8-channel and current 10-channel measurement is made through voltage and current sensors connected to the developed system, and power components such as reactive power, power factor and harmonics are calculated and measured by the DSP. The measured data are stored in a personal computer (PC) and a commercial program is then used for measurement data analysis and display. After voltage and current measurement accuracy revision using YOKOGAWA 2558, the developed system was tested using a programmable ac power source. The test results showed the accuracy of the developed system to be about 0.3 percent. Also, a simultaneous measurement field test of the developed system was implemented by application to the supply and demand side of the three-phase power system.

  • This paper presents the results of the design and implementation of the airborne pulse doppler radar signal processor using high multi-DSP for the multi-function radar capability such as short-range, midium-range, and long-range depending on the mission of the vehicle. Particularly, the radar signal processor is developed using two DSP boards in parallel for the various radar signal processing algorithm. The key algorithms include LFM chirp waveform-based pulse compression, MTI clutter filter, MTD processor, adaptive CFAR, and clutter map. Especially airborne moving clutter Doppler spectrum compensation algorithm such as TACCAR is implemented for the multi-mode airborne radar system. The test results shows the good Doppler spectral separation for the clutter and the moving target in the flight test environment using helicopter

  • 본 논문에서는 ETSI와 3GPP에서 차세대 이동통신 IMT-2000 서비스의 음성부호화기의 표준안으로 채택한 AMR(Adaptive Multi-Rate)에 대해 알고리즘을 분석하고 Texas Instrument 사에서 제공한 C 컴파일러와 어셈블리 언어를 이용하여 최적화 과정을 수행하였다. 인코더 약 28.2MIPS, 디코더 5.5MIPS로 40MIPS의 사양을 가지는 TMS320C542 보드의 82%를 사용하여 실시간 구현을 하였다. 또한 DSP보드상에서 구현한 결과가 ETSI에서 제공한 ANSI C 소스 프로그램의 결과와 일치됨을 확인하였으며, 마이크 입력과 증폭기를 이용한 스피커 출력의 시스템을 구성하여 지연과 왜곡이 없음을 확인하였다.

  • This paper presents a software design and implementation of software-defined radio based IEEE 802.11ac encoder using Texas Instruments TMS320C6670 digital signal processor (DSP) platform. In this paper, the implemented encoder has the capability of generating all the signals consisting of preamble field and data field under different modulation & coding scheme in the IEEE 802.11ac standard. Moreover, the flexibility in choosing different rate, bandwidth, or mode can also be achieved by software reconfiguration using the DSP. As a result, by utilizing the computing power provided by multi-cores as well as the FFT coprocessors in the DSP, the required maximum throughput 78Mbps can be fully reached within 4 ㎲ for each OFDM symbol in the case of 20MHz bandwidth of IEEE 802.11ac.

  • In this paper, we estimate the performance requirements of general-purpose DSP for Carrier Recovery of OFDM DVB-T receiver. Firstly, we transported the designed fixed-point OFDM DVB-T model to a floating-point software model written in C. Then, we measured the number of instruction cycles required for operation of Carrier Recovery in time. We use SignalMaster$\^$TM/ DSP platform of LYRtech Inc. as a environment of estimation, and Simulink$\^$TM/ as a graphical interface, Code Composer StudioTM of TI as profiler and compiler, and SPW$\^$TM/ for presenting functional reliability and comparing the performance distortion with fixed-point model. As a result, we show the required number of DSPs in our DSP-based system, and introduce the need of Multi-DSP-based system.

Implementation of Multi-adaptive Filter for EOG Removal and Biofeedback Output Controller

  • In this paper, a multi-adaptive filter is proposed for removing EOG and the 60 Hz power supply noise from EEG measured in the frontal lobe and the feedback output control method is implemented for biofeedback. The multi-adaptive filter has been implemented on the TMS320C6711 DSP system and the feedback output control algorithm has been realized by calculating the ratio of alpha wave on the TMS320C31 DSP system with real time performance. Through the experiment using the implemented multi-adaptive filter and feedback output controller, we demonstrate that the proposed adaptive filter effectively removes EOG and the 60 Hz power supply noise from the measured EEG in the frontal lobe and the feedback algorithm controls the level of stimulation by the ratio of the alpha wave.
