컴퓨터 단층촬영시 환자피폭선량에 관한 연구 (A Study on the exposure dose for the computed tomography)

  • 본 연구에서는 현재 국내에서 사용되고 있는 여러 기종의 CT장치를 대상으로 하여 CT검사로 인한 방사선피폭 정도를 실험을 통하여 알아보고, 외국의 사례와 비교함으로써 CT장치의 성능관리의 하나인 피폭선량 기준 설정에 필요한 기초 데이터를 제시하고자 서울시 및 경기도에 위치한 병의원 및 종합병원에서 가동 중인 32대의 CT장치를 대상으로 CTDI값을 측정한 결과 다음과 같았다. 1) Head phantom의 100 mAs 당 $CTDI_W$값은 $8.1{\sim}19.1\;mGy$ 범위였고, 평균 $13.5{\pm}3.2\;mGy$였다. 그리고 body phantom의 $CTDI_W$값은 $3.7{\sim}10.9\;mGy$ 범위였고, 평균 $7.1{\pm}2.0\;mGy$였다. 2) Single detector CT와 multi detector CT의 $CTDI_W$값을 비교해 보면, multi detector CT가 single detector CT에 비해 head phantom에서는 평균 3.2 mGy(약 1.26배), body phantom에서는 평균 2.1 mGy(약 1.34배) 높았다. 3) Channel 수에 따른 $CTDI_W$값 비교에서는 head pahantom에서는 4 channel CT가 가장 높았으며, 8 channel CT, 16 channel CT, single detector CT순이었으며, body phantom에서는 역시 4 channel CT와 8 channel CT, 16 channel CT, single detector CT순이었다.

  • Multi-detector row CT (MDCT) provides faster speed, longer coverage in conjunction with thin slices, improved spatial resolution, and ability to produce high quality muliplanar and three-dimensional (3D) images. MDCT has revolutionized the non-invasive evaluation of the central airways. Simultaneous display of axial, multiplanar, and 3D images raises precision and accuracy of the radiologic diagnosis of central airway disease. This article introduces central airway imaging with MDCT emphasizing on the emerging role of multiplanar and 3D reconstruction.

  • The properties of digital X-ray detectors depend on the absorption extent of X-rays, the generated signal of each X-ray photon and the distribution of the generated signal between pixels. In digital X-ray detector with single layer, signal is generated by X-ray photon captured in photoconductor. In X-ray detector with multi structure that scintillator formed above the top of photoconductor, signal is generated both by X-ray photon captured each in scintillator and photoconductor. X-ray detector with multi structure is generated more signal than single layer detector. In this paper, we simulated absorption fraction of X-ray detector with multi-layer using Monte Carlo program. The results compared with single-layer detector to be formed scinillator or photoconductor.

  • In this paper, we introduce the MC-CDMA (Multi-Carrier CDMA) system with MD (multi-detector). Due to unknown functional form of noise in wireless channel environments, it is not easy to design the detector through estimating the functional form of noise. Instead, we design the MD, which is constructed based on DGT (Data Grouping Technique) and quantiles estimated through RMSA (Robbins-Monro Stochastic Approximation) algorithm.

  • This paper describes a new type of the spatial filter detector (SFD) with variable and multi-valued weighting function. This SFD called variable spatial filter detector with multi-valued weighting function (VSFDwMWF) uses current-mode circuits for noise resistance and high-resolution weighting values. Total weighting values consist of 7bit, 6-signal bit and 1-sign bit. We fabricate VSFDwMWF chip using Rohm 0.35${\mu}$m CMOS process. VSFDwMWF chip includes two-dimensional 10${\times}$13 photodiode array and current-mode weighting control circuit. Simulation shows the weighting values are varied and multi-valued by external switching operation. The layout of VSFDwMWF chip is shown.

A Self-Supervised Detector Scheduler for Efficient Tracking-by-Detection Mechanism

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 고성능 다중 객체 추적을 수행하기 위해 최적의 TBD (Tracking-by-detection) 메커니즘을 결정할 수 있는 Detector Scheduler를 제안한다. Detector Scheduler는 서로 다른 프레임 간의 특징량 차이를 측정하는 것으로 검출기 실행 여부를 결정하여 전체 추적 속도를 향상한다. 하지만, Detector Scheduler의 학습에 필요한 GT (Ground Truth) 생성이 어렵기 때문에 Detector Scheduler를 추적 결과만을 통해 학습 가능한 자가 학습 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 자가 학습 방법은 프레임 간의 객체 카디널리티와 객체 외형 특징량의 비유사도가 커질 때 검출기를 실행할 수 있도록 의사 레이블을 생성하고 제안된 손실함수를 통해 Detector Scheduler를 학습한다.

  • This paper presents a low-complexity design and implementation results of a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol detector for high speed wireless LAN (WLAN) systems. The proposed spatial division multiplexing (SDM) symbol detector is designed by HDL and synthesized to gate-level circuits using 0.18um CMOS library. The total gate count for the symbol detector is 238K.

연기/CO 및 연기/열 복합형 IoT 멀티 화재 감지기의 화재감지실험 연구 (A Study on Fire Alarm Test of IoT Multi-Fire Detector combined Smoke/CO and Smoke/Temperature Sensors)

  • 연구목적: 연기/CO/열 복합형 화재감지기와 무선 IoT통신을 결합한 IoT 멀티화재감지기를 개발하고 화재감지 실험을 통하여 연기/CO/열 복합형 IoT 멀티화재감지기의 화재감지성능을 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 연기/CO 복합형 과 연기/열 복합형의 IoT 멀티화재감지기를 연기발생기와 면 심지 연소를 통하여 화재감지성능을 실험하였으며, 화제 신호를 발하는 기준을 확인하였다. 연구결과: 연기/CO 복합형 IoT 멀티 화재감지기는 면심지 연소 실험에서 화재를 감지하였으나 연기발생기 실험에서는 화재를 감지하지 않았다. 반면 연기/열 복합형 IoT 멀티 화재감지기는 두 실험 모두 화재를 감지하지 않았다. 결론: 연기/CO 복합형 IoT 멀티화재감지기는 CO가 포함된 연기만을 감지하였으며, 연기/열 복합형 IoT 멀티 화재감지기는 열의 부족에 의해 화재를 잠지하지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과로 개발된 IoT 멀티 화재감지기는 면심지 연소 실험과 연기발생기 실험을 통해 2가지 센서의 기준값 이상 신호를 검출하여야 화재 신호를 발한다는 것을 확인하였다.

Accuracy Improvement of Boron Meter Adopting New Fitting Function and Multi-detector

  • This paper introduces a boron meter with improved accuracy compared with other commercially available boron meters. Its design includes a new fitting function and a multi-detector. In pressurized water reactors (PWRs) in Korea, many boron meters have been used to continuously monitor boron concentration in reactor coolant. However, it is difficult to use the boron meters in practice because the measurement uncertainty is high. For this reason, there has been a strong demand for improvement in their accuracy. In this work, a boron meter evaluation model was developed, and two approaches were considered to improve the boron meter accuracy: the first approach uses a new fitting function and the second approach uses a multi-detector. With the new fitting function, the boron concentration error was decreased from 3.30 ppm to 0.73 ppm. With the multi-detector, the count signals were contaminated with noise such as field measurement data, and analyses were repeated 1,000 times to obtain average and standard deviations of the boron concentration errors. Finally, using the new fitting formulation and multi-detector together, the average error was decreased from 5.95 ppm to 1.83 ppm and its standard deviation was decreased from 0.64 ppm to 0.26 ppm. This result represents a great improvement of the boron meter accuracy.

  • In this paper we design an irregular low-density parity-check (LDPC) code for a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system. The considered MIMO system is minimum mean square error soft-interference cancellation (MMSE-SIC) detector. The MMSE-SIC detector and the LDPC decoder exchange soft information and consist a turbo iterative detection and decoding receiver. Extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) charts are used to obtain the edge degree distribution of the irregular LDPC code which is optimized for the input-output transfer chart of the MMSE-SIC detector. It is shown that the performance of the designed LDPC code is much better than that of conventional LDPC code optimized for the AWGN channel.
