움직임 벡터를 이용한 사람 활동성 분석 (Analysis of Human Activity Using Motion Vector)

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 감시 시스템에서 녹화 도중에 검출된 움직임 벡터를 이용하여 사람의 활동성을 인식하고 분석하고자 한다. 전경에서 블랍(사람)을 검출하는 방법은 기존에 연구했던 차 영상을 이용하였고, MPEG-4 동영상 녹화 시 EPZS(Enhanced Predictive Zonal Search)에서 검출되는 움직임 벡터의 값을 이용하였다. 본 논문에서는 사람의 행동을 크게 세 가지의 {Active, Inactive}, {Moving, Non-moving}, {Walking, Running} 메타 클래스로 분류하고 인식하였다. 각 단계에서는 단계별 임계값을 이용하여 구분하였다. 실험을 위해서 약 150개의 상황을 연출하였으며, 실험 영상에서 각 단계를 구분하는데 약 86% ~ 98% 까지의 높은 인식률을 보였다.

  • Bulging is a forming method to shape of die cavity by using hydraulic pressure in tube or vessel. Bulging machine and die were developed in order to produce vessel for keeping warm. Bulging machine is a double type with two horizontal cylinders for bulging of two pieces at the same time. The developed die system has one bulging die and two drawing dies for necking at the both ends of tube. The diameter of tube expands by hydraulic pressure in tube. at the same time, thrust at the both ends of tube. pushes tube in the direction of expansion to obtain high expanding rate with no crack. In this study, the bulging properties were investigated to solve tube crack and necking in manufacturing vessel by the combination method of bulging and drawing. As a result, high expanding rate of tube radius without crack, precision necking and high productivity were obtained.

  • This paper describes an implementation of the absolute moment block truncation coding(AMBTC) in real time for the moving picture data compression. We have realized a system composed of the encoder and decoder, and operated it using an NTSC TV signal. The encoder consists of a 4-1line buffer memory and a data processing block. Besides, there are signal conditioner and a control signal generator. Experimental results show that the quality of the processed image with a data rate of 10Mb/s is slightly degraded, but not objectionable, comparing data rate of 80Mb/s.

Real Exchange Rate Misalignment and Economic Fundamentals in Korea

  • This study analyzes the response of economic fundamentals to a misalignment shock of the real effective exchange rate in Korea. The estimation results of the equilibrium exchange rate determination model and time series model show that there is no significant difference in the direction of the deviation from equilibrium and that the won is significantly undervalued during the period before 1988, or during the currency and global financial crises. The cumulative impulse response analysis of the VAR model over the full period shows that an upward shock to the deviation from the equilibrium exchange rate reduces the GDP gap and inflation rate, while the effect on the call rate is not statistically significant. Furthermore, an upward misalignment shock initially worsens the goods and services balance, but the deficit in the goods and services balance shrinks significantly over time. In rolling regressions analysis, the entire sample is divided into two periods to estimate the impulse response function from the first period, and then the same procedure is repeated by moving the sample forward one by one. The cumulative impulse response results show that, as is the case for the full period, a positive exchange rate misalignment shock initially reduces the GDP gap, inflation, and worsens the goods and services balance, but the impact of this upward shock on these variables becomes increasingly weaker in the more recent sample. It also shows that the negative impact of upward shocks on the current account is smoothed out more recently during periods of undervaluation than during periods of overvaluation.

중학교 과학 소화순환호흡배설 단원 수업 후 학생들의 시스템적 사고와 교사의 반성적 사고 분석 (An Analysis of Students' Systemic Thinking and Teachers' Reflective Thinking after the Lesson of Digestion, Circulation, Respiration and Excretion of Middle School Science)

  • This study aims to analyze middle school students' systemic thinking to express organic relations between different organ systems about the movement of food and air and teachers' reflective thinking about science teaching through their reflective journals after the lesson of digestion, circulation, respiration and excretion. Firstly, when investigating the moving route of hamburger eaten inside the body, students expressed the names, locations and forms of organs in the digestive system more than those in the circulatory system or the excretory system. When investigating the moving route of a painkiller taken inside the body, students seemed to have more difficulty in expressing the related organ systems than when investigating the moving route of other things, and they mostly drew pictures of organs in the digestive system as done for the moving route of hamburger. However, when investigating the moving route of water drunk inside the body, students mostly described organs in the digestive system but drew more pictures of organs in the excretory system, than when investigating the moving route of other things. When investigating the moving route of air inhaled inside the body, students mostly drew pictures of organs in the respiratory system, but the rate of their drawing pictures of circulatory organs was low. Secondly, this study analyzed one of the teachers' reflective journals, named Mr. Park. According to his journal, students showed different levels of understanding of organ names, depending on their degrees of familiarity with each organ, and in regard to the locations of organs, science teachers mostly aim to achieve learning objectives so much that they often forget to instruct the locations of organs in fact. As for the forms of organs, science teachers mostly spend so much time explaining the functions of organs that they often forget to describe the exact form of each organ.

완전침지형 회전매체 생물막 공정에서 포기강도 조절이 동시 질산화/탈질 효율에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Aeration Intensity on Simultaneous Nitrification and Denitrification Efficiency in the Submerged Moving Media Biofilm Process)

  • Space separation method that use independent reactor for nitrification and other reactor for denitrification has been commonly used for biological nitrogen removal process like $A^2O$ process. However, this method needs large space and complicate pipelines and time separation method such as SBR process have a difficulty in continuous treatment. Thus biological nitrogen removal process which is capable of continuous treatment, easy opeation and space saving is urgently required. In this research, submerged moving media was used for a biofilm process and suspended sludge was used for biological nitrogen removal at the same time. In particular DO environment by controlling air flow rate was investigated for simultaneous nitrification/denitrification. Total nitrogen removal in aeration rate more than $67L/min{\cdot}m^3$ showed 51~53% and rose to 65%, 70% and 78% in $50L/min{\cdot}m^3$, $58L/min{\cdot}m^3$ and $25L/min{\cdot}m^3$ respectively. Total phosphorus removal was very low about 10~20% more than $67L/min{\cdot}m^3$ aeration rates. But total phosphorus removal roses when reduces aeration rate by $58L/min{\cdot}m^3$ low and it showed total phosphorus removal of 72% in aeration rate $25L/min{\cdot}m^3$.

운수창고 및 통신업에서의 재해율 예측과 무재해시간 추정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Accident Rate Forecasting and Estimated Zero Accident Time in the Transportation, Storage, and Telecommunication Divisions)

  • Many industrial accidents have occurred over the years in the manufacturing and construction industries in Korea. However, as the service industry has increased continuously, the share of the accident rate in the service industry was 39.07% in 2009, while the manufacturing industry share was 33.73%. The service industry share overtook the manufacturing industry share for the first time. Therefore, this research considers prevention of industrial accidents in the service industry as well as manufacturing and construction industries. This paper describes a procedure and a method to estimate efficient accident rate forecasting and estimated zero accident time in the service industry in order to prevent industrial accidents in the transportation, storage, and telecommunication divisions. This paper proposes a model using an analytical function for the sake of very efficient accident rate forecasting. Accordingly, this paper has develops a program for accident rate forecasting, zero accident time estimating, and calculation of achievement probability through MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class) software Visual Studio 2008 in the transportation, storage, and telecommunication divisions. In results of this paper, ARIMA (Auto Regressive Integrating Moving Average) is regarded as a very efficient forecasting model for the transportation, storage, and telecommunication division. In testing this model, value minimizing the Sum of Square Errors (SSE) was calculated as 0.2532. Finally the results of this paper are sure to help establish easy accident rate forecasting and strategy or method of zero accident time in the service industry for prevention of industrial accidents.

비전 시스템을 이용한 실시간 섬유결점 검사기 개발 (Development of Real-Time Vision-Based Fabric Inspection System)

  • Quality inspection of textile products is an important problem for fabric manufacturers. This paper presents an automatic vision-based system for quality control of web textile fabrics. Typical web material is 1-3m wide and is driven with speeds ranging from 20m/min to 200m/min. At the present, the quality assessment procedures are performed manually by expert. But worker can not detect more than 60% of the present defect and inspect the fabric if moving faster than 30m/min. To increase the overall quality and homogeneity of textile, an automated visual inspection system is needed fur the productivity. However, the existing inspection system are too expensive to purchase for small companies. In this paper, the proposed PC based real-time inspection algorithm gives low cost textile inspection system, high detection rate with good accuracy and low rate of false alarms. The method shows good results in the detection of several types of fabric defects.

첨단운전자보조시스템용 이동객체검출을 위한 광학흐름추정기의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Optical Flow Estimator for Moving Object Detection in Advanced Driver Assistance System)

  • 본 논문에서는 첨단 운전자 보조 시스템 (ADAS; advanced driver assistance system) 용 이동객체검출 (MOD; moving object detection)을 위한 광학흐름추정기 (OFE; optical flow estimator) 의 하드웨어 구조 설계 결과를 제시하였다. 광학흐름추정 알고리즘은 차량 환경에서 높은 정확도를 나타내는 광역 최적화 (global optimization) 기반 Brox 알고리즘을 적용하였다. Brox 알고리즘의 에너지 범함수 (energy functional)를 최소화 하는 과정에서 생성되는 Euler-Lagrange 방정식을 풀기 위해 하드웨어 구현에 용이한 Cholesky factorization이 적용되었으며, 메모리 접근율 (memory access rate)를 줄이기 위해 시프트 레지스터 뱅크 (shift register bank)를 도입하였다. 하드웨어 구현은 Verilog-HDL을 사용하였으며, FPGA 기반 설계 및 검증이 수행되었다. 제안된 광학흐름추정기는 40.4K개의 logic slice 및 155개의 DSP48s, 11,290 Kbit의 block memory로 구현되었다.
