Hybrid Stepping Motor의 Driving Controller 설계와 응용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Applications and Design of Driving Controller Circuit in hybrid Stepping Motor)

  • 로봇과 자동화기기에 범용으로 사용되는 Stewing Motor의 Driving을 위하여 unipolar 방식과 bipolar 방식의 Controller Circuit를 design 하였으며 특히 design시 Digital logic을 이용하여 Controller를 설계 제작하여 실험을 통해 그 응용성을 실험하였다. 또한 Motor의 효율 향상을 위하여 Motor의 Winding에 흐르는 전류를 제어하기 위하여 constant Current Limit Methode와 Constant Voltage Limit Methode를 분석하고 실재 회로 제작 시 응용하여 Motor의 효율을 향상시켰다.

Halbach Magnetic Circuit for Voice Coil Motor in Hard Disk Drives

  • Rotary-type voice coil motors are widely used as actuators in hard disk drives. The recent trend toward higher density and smaller form factors in data storage devices requires performance improvement of the voice coil motor. In this study, we introduce a Halbach magnet array to the voice coil motor in order to increase the force generation. The Halbach magnetic circuit outperforms the conventional magnetic circuit due to the confined magnetic flux. To investigate the performance of the Halbach magnetic circuit, we analyze air gap flux density with the various shapes and thickness of the magnets using 3-dimensional finite element analysis. Consequently the optimum shape of the Halbach magnetic circuit is proposed. Simulations and experimental results proved effectiveness of the proposed magnet array in the voice coil motor for a commercial hard disk drive.

  • This paper describes the calculation of the equivalent circuit parameters according to the slip in squirrel-cage induction motor. Recently, the induction motor is demanded of the various operation condition. In order to acquire the accurate characteristic for the operation condition of the motor, equivalent circuit parameters have to be calculated accurately. So the equivalent circuit parameters are computed by using the finite element method, the reliable characteristic analysis is carried out by application of the parameter to the equivalent circuit analysis. From the analysis result using this combined equivalent circuit and finite element method is compared with the experimental results by a detailed equivalent circuit, the validity of the method is proved.

  • The characteristics of permanent magnet synchronous motor are defined by airgap flux and circuit parameters. Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) has a nonlinear characteristics due to structural speciality of rotor, so it is difficult to analyze circuit parameters and field-weakening characteristics of IPMSM. This paper presents the calculation of circuit parameters by using Finite Element Method(FEM) taken into consideration of nonlinear characteristics. Using the circuit parameters by FEM, IPMSM is analyzed to field-weakening characteristics and is compared with the Equivalent Magnetic Circuit(EMC) in which lumped parameter is consideration.

  • Torque of an induction motor is generally calculated by simplified equivalent circuit. However, the torque has an error since it is calculated by simplified equivalent circuit. In this paper, stator and rotor currents, torque, efficiency, and power factor are derived from the equivalent circuit of an induction motor using mesh analysis method. Then, they are compared with those calculated from simplified equivalent circuit.

  • Climate change and other pollutions make a huge demand of environment friendly and high efficient motors especially Brushless DC (BLDC) motors. Generally, bidirectional energized BLDC motors are used widely; however, inverter devices used in the driver put fear of being effected by noise. This paper proposes unidirectional energized BLDC motor which utilizes asymmetrical H-bridge circuit as the driver circuit. The Minato motor is one of the pioneers in unidirectional energized system. The use of bar magnets in the rotor is one of the biggest disadvantages of the motor. We proposed using tabular magnets. The paper compares the power consumption and efficiency of the Minato motor and the proposed motor. During high speed rotation, undesirable armature current is generated that has a deceleration characteristic. This current lowers the motor's efficiency. In this paper, we propose the solutions and show comparison through equations of the copper loss ratio for the Minato and our proposed motors. The third motor, which has the highest efficiency, was discovered during examination of the equations.

  • This paper presents a motor characteristics analysis method using an equivalent circuit. Motor characteristics analysis via equivalent circuit is very important for designing a high efficiency single phase induction motor. The accuracy of the motor characteristics depends on the accuracy of the parameters, especially saturation factor, which determines the cyclical relationship in the analysis process. Therefore, using the proposed method, the saturation factor was calculated using the iteration routine and numerical technique. The proposed method was verified by comparing the finite element method results and the dynamo test results of manufactured prototype model.

  • This paper presents characteristics analysis of skewed Synchronous Reluctance Motor using equivalent magnetic circuit and compares with the result of Finite Element Method. Torque ripple must be reduced, because it is producing noise and vibration. There is many kinds of method to reduce torque ripple, but generally we apply skewing stator or rotor. The 2D Finite Element Method(FEM) or 3D FEM is used to analyze the motor, since skew influence the average torque in the motor. However, the FEM takes much time in spite of the advanced computer and numerical technique. This paper will analyze characteristics of skewed synchronous reluctance motor using equivalent magnetic circuit.

  • The objectives of this paper are to establish an equivalent magnetic circuit of the hybrid PM step motor and to apply the canonical piecewise linear eqation and the Kazenelson algorithm of solving the nonlinear magnetic circuit, so that the static holding torque and the magnetic properties of the motor are determined. The results of that are applied to the design of the hybrid step motor.

24V-500W급 소형전동차용 DC모터 속도 콘트롤러 개발 (Development of A DC Motor Controller for 24V-500W Small Electric Vehicle)

  • 본 논문에서는 DC모터의 출력특성을 개선할 수 있는 새로운 구조의 DC모터 구동회로를 설계하였고 이 회로를 이용한 콘트롤러를 개발하였다. 설계된 구동 회로에 의하여 콘트롤러는 자체발진회로의 스위칭 신호를 갖는 트랜스포머를 이용하여 연속적으로 DC모터를 구동할 수 있다. 또한 최대속도시, 제어회로의 기준전압 값을 삼각파보다 높게 유지할 수 있고 모터 구동 FET를 항상 온 값을 가지도록 하여 최대출력을 얻을 수 있도록 한다. 제안된 구동회로를 활용하여 24V-500W급 DC모터속도 컨트롤러를 개발하였고 소형전동차를 제작하고 구동시험을 실시하였다. 구동테스트 및 특성 측정결과, 구동전류 12A로써 DC모터의 전진 및 후진 속도를 연속 가변 할 수 있음을 보였다. 그 밖에 과전류 감시기능, 모터과열 감시기능의 정상동작을 확인하였으며, 배터리 잔량이 20~100%까지 6단계로 표시할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
