In general, auto parts production assembly line is assembled and produced by automatic mounting by an automated robot. In such a production site, quality problems such as misalignment of parts (doors, trunks, roofs, etc.) to be assembled with the vehicle body or collision between assembly robots and components are often caused. In order to solve such a problem, the quality of parts is manually inspected by using mechanical jig devices outside the automated production line. Automotive inspection technology is the most commonly used field of vision, which includes surface inspection such as mounting hole spacing and defect detection, body panel dents and bends. It is used for guiding, providing location information to the robot controller to adjust the robot's path to improve process productivity and manufacturing flexibility. The most difficult weighing and measuring technology is to calibrate the surface analysis and position and characteristics between parts by storing images of the part to be measured that enters the camera's field of view mounted on the side or top of the part. The problem of the machine vision device applied to the automobile production line is that the lighting conditions inside the factory are severely changed due to various weather changes such as morning-evening, rainy days and sunny days through the exterior window of the assembly production plant. In addition, since the material of the vehicle body parts is a steel sheet, the reflection of light is very severe, which causes a problem in that the quality of the captured image is greatly changed even with a small light change. In this study, the distance between the car body and the door part and the door are acquired by the measuring device combining the laser slit light source and the LED pattern light source. The result is transferred to the joint robot for assembling parts at the optimum position between parts, and the assembly is done at the optimal position by changing the angle and step.
Recently, in construction equipment machinery production, development has focused on environmentally-friendly functions to improve existing production capacity. For excavators as well, emphasis has been placed on response to environmental regulations, miniaturization, and noise reduction, while technology is being developed considering cost reduction and safety.Accordingly, the front support, an inner reinforcement part of the excavator, as well as high-strength steel plates to improve safety and reduce weight, are being applied.However, in the case of high-strength materials, Springback occurs in the final formed part due to high residual stress during product forming. Derivation of a forming or product shaping process to reduce springback is needed. Accordingly, regarding the front support, an inner reinforcement part of the excavator, this study derived a method to improve springback and secure shape stiffness through analysis of the springback occurrence rate and springback causes through a forming analysis.As for the results of analyzing the springback occurrence rate of existing products through forming analysis, springback of -22.6 mm < z < 27.35 mm occurred on the z-axis, and it was confirmed that springback occurred due to the stiffness reinforcing bead of the upper and middle parts of the product.To control product residual stress and springback, we confirmed a tendency of springback reduction through local pre-cutting and stiffness reinforcement bead relocation.In the local pre-cutting model, springback was slightly reduced by 5.3% compared with the existing model, an insignificant reduction effect. In the stiffness reinforcement bead relocation model, when an X-shaped stiffness reinforcement bead was added to each corner portion of the product, springback was reduced by at least 80%.The X-shaped bead addition model was selected as the springback reduction model, and the level of stiffness compared to the existing model was confirmed through a structural analysis.The X-shaped bead additional model showed a stress springback of 90% and springback reduction of 7.4% compared with the existing model, indicating that springback and stiffness will be reinforced.
With the recent strengthening of environmental regulations and the need for cost reduction, excavators, a type of construction equipment, are being miniaturized while components are being developed in consideration of stability. In the case of excavator press parts, mainly high-strength steel sheets are being used to enhance stability and reduce weight. However, in the case of high-strength materials, there is a need to research product forming methods to reduce Springback in defects arising in parts assembly due to Springback that result from the internal residual stress that occurs in press forming being released after product forming. Accordingly, regarding the tank cover, an excavator press-forming part, this study selected a method to reduce distortion through analysis of the Springback occurrence rate and Springback causes through a forming analysis. A forming analysis was conducted for the Springback of the tank cover. Deformations of 13.714 mm in the upper part and 6.244 mm in the inner part of the product occurred, while wrinkles occurred on the sides of the product due to uneven thickness. A forming analysis was conducted for the major shapes of the product to investigate the causes of Springback. Distortion deformation due to the bead in the center of the product was confirmed to be a large factor. A Springback reduction method of correcting uneven thickness in the product sides, a Springback reduction method of removing the bead, and a correction method of restriking after the final forming were used in a forming analysis to determine the degree of Springback reduction. For the forming method to correct uneven thickness in the sides, deformation was reduced by 12% in the upper side compared to the existing model, but deformation in the inner side increased by 1%. For the restriking forming method, deformation decreased by 25% in the upper side and 13% in the inner side. For the bead removal method, deformation decreased by 28% in the upper side and 13% in the inner side, the largest Springback correction results. This indicates that the bead has a large affect on Springback.
Purpose. The intent of this study was to evaluate the effects of curing conditions on self-curing denture base resins to find out proper condition in self-curing resin polymerization. Materials and methods, In this study, 3 commercial self-curing denture base resins are used Vertex SC, Tokuso Rebase and Jet Denture Repair Acrylic. After mixing the self curing resin, it was placed in a stainless steel mold(3$\times$6$\times$60mm). The mold containing the resin was placed under the following conditions: in air at 23$^{\circ}C$; or in water at 23$^{\circ}C$; or in water at 23$^{\circ}C$ under pressure(20psi); or in water at 37$^{\circ}C$ under pressure(20psi) or in water at 50$^{\circ}C$ under pressure(20psi) , or in water at 65$^{\circ}C$ under pressure(20psi), respectively. Also heat-curing denture base resin is polymerized according to manufactures' instructions as control. Fracture toughness was measured by a single edge notched beam(SENB) method. Notch about 3mm deep was carved at the center of the long axis of the specimen using a dental diamond disk driven by a dental micro engine. The flexural test was carried out at a crosshead speed 0.5mm/min and fracture surface were observed under measuring microscope. Results and conclusion . The results obtained were summarized as follows : 1. The fracture toughness value of self-curing denture base resins were relatively lower than that of heat-curing denture base resin. 2. In Vertex SC and Jet Denture Repair Acrylic, higher fracture toughness value was observed in the curing environment with pressure but in Tokuso Rebase, low fracture toughness value was observed but there was no statistical difference. 3. Higher fracture toughness value was observed in the curing environment with water than air but there was no statistical difference. 4. Raising the temperature in water showed the increase of fracture toughness.
Fiber arrangement was important for fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites using injection fabrication. In this work, fiber arrangement in CF/PP was investigated to use electrical resistance (ER) method during injection times. There were 3 types of injection products of CF/PP with different ER change ratio by fiber arrangement. High ER change ratio case of injection CF/PP products had better increased tensile strength. This reason was due to the fiber arrangement of CF/PP by injection. Fractured surface and contact angle of CF/PP products were used to evaluate for injection product quality. Uniform fiber arrangement of CF/PP by injection type exhibited the uniform heat condition of melted CF/PP. Steady thermal transfer effect occurred from melted CF/PP to steel injection mold. Steady thermal transfer effect of CF/PP was transmitted to high ER change ratio of mold. Ultimately, good condition CF/PP product by injection molding method could be predicted by using ER method.

Heat insulation plates of fumed silica were prepared by mixing fumed silica, SiC powder and chopped glass fiber by a high speed mixer followed by pressing of the mixture powder in a stainless steel mold of $100{\times}100mm$. Composition of the plates, particle size of SiC, and type of inorganic binder were varied for observation of their contribution to heat insulation of the plate. The plate was installed on the upper portion of an electric furnace the inside temperature of which was maintained at $400^{\circ}C$ and $600^{\circ}C$, for investigation of heat transfer through the plate from inside of the electric furnace to outside atmosphere. Surface temperatures were measured in real time using a thermographic camera. The particle size of SiC was varied in the range of $1.3{\sim}17.5{\mu}m$ and the insulation was found to be most excellent when SiC of $2.2{\mu}m$ was incorporated. When the size of SiC was smaller or larger than $2.2{\mu}m$, the heat insulation effect was decreased. Inorganic binders of alkali silicate and phosphate were tested and the phosphate was found to maintain the heat insulation property while increasing mechanical properties.
Intense electron beam was irradiated on the CrAlN thin films deposited in SKD61 under different incident energies and then the effect of electron beam irradiation on the enhancement of surface hardness and wear resistance was investigated. Surface hardness and wear resistance of the CrAlN films is increased proportionally with the electron beam energy. While the surface hardness of as deposited CrAlN film is Hv ($0.1g{\cdot}f$) 450, the hardness oflectron irradiated (600 eV) film is Hv ($0.1g{\cdot}f$) 2050. The width of wear track of the untreated SKD61 is $X\_{\mu}m$, while the track-width of the electron irradiated CrAlN (600 eV) film is $787{\mu}m$, respectively. From the observed results, it is supposed that the optimal electron beam irradiation can be one of the useful surface treatment technologies for the enhancement of surface hardness and wear resistance of CrAlN/SKD61, simultaneously.

In this study, porous stainless steel (STS316L) sintered body was fabricated by powder metallurgy method and its properties such as porosity, compressive yield strength, hardness, and permeability were evaluated. 67.5Fe-17Cr- 13Ni-2.5Mo (wt%) powder was produced by a water atomization. The atomized powder was classified into size with under $45{\mu}m$ and over $180{\mu}m$, and then they were compacted with various pressures and sintered at $1210^{\circ}C$ for 1 h in a vacuum atmosphere. The porosities of sintered bodies could be obtained in range of 20~53% by controlling the compaction pressure. Compressive yield strength and hardness were achieved up to 268 MPa and 94 Shore D, respectively. Air permeability was obtained up to $79l/min{\cdot}cm^2$. As a result, mechanical properties and air permeability of the optimized porous body having a porosity of 25~40% were very superior to that of Al alloy.

In this study, Mg-Zn alloys are investigated in terms of their thermal properties after an addition of Cu. Al element is added to improve the mechanical properties and castability in general case. However, it was excluded here because it significantly decreases the thermal conductivity. On the other hand, Zn was added as a major element, which had less influence on reducing the conductivity and can complement the mechanical properties as well. Cu was also added, and it improved the heat transfer characteristics as the amount was increased. The composition ranges of Zn and Cu are 6 wt.% and 0~1.5 wt.%, respectively. Mg-6Zn-xCu alloy was prepared by a gravity casting method using a steel mold and then the thermal conductivity and the microstructure of the as-cast material were investigated. By measuring the density_(${\rho}$), specific heat_(Cp) and thermal diffusivity_(${\alpha}$), the thermal conductivity_(${\lambda}$) was calculated by the equation ${\lambda}={\rho}{\cdot}Cp{\cdot}{\alpha}$. As the amount of Cu increased in the Mg-6Zn-xCu alloy, the heat transfer characteristics were improved, resulting in a synergistic effect which is slow when the added Cu exceeds 1 wt.%. In order to investigate the relative thermal conductivity/emission of the Mg-6Zn-xCu alloy, AZ91 and AZ31 were experimentally evaluated and compared using a separate test equipment. As a result, the Mg-6Zn-1.5Cu alloy when compared to AZ91 showed improvements in the thermal conductivity ranging from 30 to 60% with a nearly 20% improvement in the thermal emission.

As the continuous casting process is to product slab with high temperature liquid steel, the main role of strand driven roll is to withdraw slab from mold as operator set up casting speed pattern. The strand driven roll in old cast machine is controlled casting speed only. Due to inaccuracies in drive setting up, varying roll diameters, bulging in the product, withdrawal force was distributed irregularly. As a result, because of horizontal crack in slab comer, high casting speed can't be achieved. In this paper, the correlation between the distribution of withdrawal force and slab quality is investigated and the new control algorithm which can be distributed regularly the withdrawal force of strand driven roll is proposed. The principle of proposed algorithm is not to control motor torque directly but to control motor speed reference according to sharing ratio of withdrawal force which is set up in high level controller. The proposed algorithm implemented in POSCO Kwangyang 1-4 continuous casting plant.
