In this paper we describe a driving, control and monitor of ship's emergency lighting system using power line modem.(PLM). Through this paper, experiment confirms that ON-OFF control of multiple SELP, real time transmission and monitor of parameters as to voltage, current, and power values are performed appropriately by PLM communication.

The paper develops the arguments as to how one should perceive modem theater and how one should categories it, not to mention how one may identify the traits of modern theater. The Contemporary Theater has changed in a way that it is no longer possible to define the genre relying on conventional definitions that we associated with it in the past. The paper in this regard proposes a perspective which by addressing the evolutions that one has seen in the theories of reception and other relevant literary fields may define the very nature of the theater as we Cow it today. The paper is largely based on the aesthetics of reception and the objectivity theory which is based on the decontextualisation, recontextualisation and contextextualisation method that is being more and more commonly used in the field of literary academics of today. The relevancy of this paper rests with the hypothesis that it is by and through using various theories of reception that it is the only true solution as to defining and identifying the characteristics of modem theater.

This paper presents design of AGC(Automatic Gain Control) and DC offset remover suitable for cable modem which makes use of QAM(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) scheme. Since QAM has multi-level signal characteristic, for high-order QAM, the constellation is dense and the distance of decision boundary between adjacent symbols is short. So AGC and DC offset remover must be designed optionally for preventing performance degradation. AGC is designed into feedback type and is related to the STR(Symbol Timing Recovery)and Paff interpolation algorithm. Whereas AGC need to perform average power detection during many symbols by comparison with the reference power, DC offset remover uses only the instant polarity decision such that simple implementation can be achieved with good performance. Though the AGC and DC offset remover are simulated here only for 256 QAM scheme for convenience'sake, it can be applied to other multi-level QAM or PSK modulation scheme.

Hypertext is a web form consisted of HTML(hypertext markup language) which is used in Internet. Hypertext in costume is the product of modem industrial society. Hypertext is not a mechanical technique that enlarges external capacity of human beings. It is rather a motif that extends the internal ability of human beings. It brings about the social innovation by extending the expression realm of costume and providing the various views of recognition. This study regards costume not as an artistic work but as a text which interacts in the open relationship of human body, society and culture and causes dynamic generation of meaning. This study distinguishes Plasticitic Characteristics of Hypertext in Costume with intertextuality, rhizome, interactivity in the structural characteristics of hypertext which is a typical trait of digital culture of openness and variousness. In conclusion, this study clarified plasticitic value of modem costume, which expresses vague isms and the pargidm of multi-typed culture most sensitively and condretley, and expressional forms in relation with the structural characteristics of hypertext.

This paper implements mobile Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) receiver using Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology. SDR system is difficult to implement on the mobile handset because of restrictions that are computing power and under space constraints. The implemented receiver processes mobile WiMAX software modem on Open Multimedia Application Platform (OMAP) System on Chip (SoC) and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). OMAP SoC is composed of ARM processor and Digital Signal Processor (DSP). ARM processor supports Single Instruction Multiple Data (SIMD) instruction which could operate on a vector of data with a single instruction and DSP is powerful image and video accelerators. For this reason, we suggest the possibility of SDR technology in the mobile handset. In order to verify the performance of the mobile WiMAX receiver, we measure the software modem runtime respectively. The experimental results show that the proposed receiver is able to do real-time signal processing.

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the concept of Korean traditional characteristics has been reflected in modem residential complex. The specific objective of this study is to identify the features of space planning in the exterior design of modem residential complex. This study is based on the content analysis in the site-plans of the selected case and adopteded in quantitative analysis for spatial characteristic using the space syntax modeling methods.

In this thesis, we talk about 'Example of Building Alert System by Radio Packet Modem and Radio Tranceiver' faster than CDMA method in Wireless Communication. Moreover this type of System is enough to be economic. we show example of building Alert System by using this method.

An experimental 2400bps modem emlpoying 4-phase DPSK in compliance with the CCITT recommendation V.26 is developed. Integrated circuits are used throughtout the circuit implementation, including active filters and a semiconductor delay line. A new timing recovery scheme is proposed and adopted successfully. The error rate perfromance is found to be in fair agreement with the theoretical prediction.

In this paper the Viterbi decoder which is used for TCM decoding in wireless modem system under transmission of audio data for the high quality sound is designed by VHDL and implemented by FPGA. After making short explanation about TCM encoding and decoding. I show the effect of channel in computer by using encoder and decoder implemented in FOGA and the bit error rate according to change rate of ($E_b/N_0$).

One of the most important factors for the clinical success of adhesive posterior restorations is marginal adaptation. This property is very closely related to mechanical properties and to the shrinkage behavior of composite materials. Most of modem composite materials are light-cured. This is why the first part of this lecture will be confined to our recent research on light curing, such as plasma polymerization, LED polymerization and the power of modem halogen lamps. In the second part of the lecture the shrinkage properties such as dimensional shrinkage and shrinkage forces of different light curing materials and during different curing procedures will be discussed. Finally, in the third part of the lecture, marginal adaptation before and after loading in different cavity classes and by using different restorative techniques and curing procedures will be presented. Data will also be given on wear resistance, abrasiveness against opposing cusps and postcuring of composite materials.(omitted)
