This paper presents dynamic modelling of a virtual object in augmented reality environments when external forces are applied to the object in real-time fashion. In order to simulate a natural behavior of the object we employ the theory of Newtonian physics to construct motion equation of the object according to the varying external forces applied to the AR object. In dynamic modelling process, the physical interaction is taken placed between the augmented object and the physical object such as a haptic input device and the external forces are transferred to the object. The intrinsic properties of the augmented object are either rigid or elastically deformable (non-rigid) model. In case of the rigid object, the dynamic motion of the object is simulated when the augmented object is collided with by the haptic stick by considering linear momentum or angular momentum. In the case of the non-rigid object, the physics-based simulation approach is adopted since the elastically deformable models respond in a natural way to the external or internal forces and constraints. Depending on the characteristics of force caused by a user through a haptic interface and model's intrinsic properties, the virtual elastic object in AR is deformed naturally. In the simulation, we exploit standard mass-spring damper differential equation so called Newton's second law of motion to model deformable objects. From the experiments, we can successfully visualize the behavior of a virtual objects in AR based on the theorem of physics when the haptic device interact with the rigid or non-rigid virtual object.
Nowadays many tasks are performed using the Web. Accordingly, many web-based application systems with various and complicated functions are being requested. In order to develop such web-based application systems efficiently, object-oriented analysis and design methodology is used, and Java EE(Java Platform, Enterprise Edition) technologies are used for its implementation. The security issues have become increasingly important. For such reasons, Java EE provides mechanism related to security but it does not provide interconnections with object-oriented analysis and design methodology for developing web application system. Consequently, since the security method by Java EE mechanism is implemented at the last step only, it is difficult to apply constant security during the whole process of system development from the requirement analysis to implementation. Therefore, this paper suggests an object-oriented analysis and design methodology emphasized in the security for secure web application systems from the requirement analysis to implementation. The object-oriented analysis and design methodology adopts UMLsec, the modeling language with an emphasis on security for the requirement analysis and system analysis & design with regard to security. And for its implementation, RBAC (Role Based Access Control) of servlet from Java EE technologies is used. Also, the object-oriented analysis and design methodology for the secure web application is applied to online banking system in order to prove its effectiveness.
Forest canopy height can be used for estimate of above-ground forest biomass (AGB) by means of the allometric equation. The remote locations and harsh conditions of mangrove forests limit the number of field inventory data stations needed for large-scale modeling of carbon and biomass dynamics. Although active and passive spaceborne sensors have proven successful in mapping mangroves globally, the sensors generally have coarse spatial resolution and overlook small-scale features. Here we generate a 12 m spatial resolution mangrove canopy height map from TanDEM-X data acquired over the world largest intact mangrove forest located in the Sundarbans. With single-pol. TanDEM-X data from 2011 to 2013, the proposed technique makes use of the fact that the double-bounce scattering that occurs between the water and mangrove trees yields water surface level elevation over mangrove forest areas, thus allowing us to estimate forest height with the assumption of an underlying flat topography. Our observations have led to a large-scale mangrove canopy height map over the entire Sundarbans region at a 12 m spatial resolution. Our canopy height estimates were validated with ground measurements acquired in 2015, a correlation coefficient of 0.83 and a RMSE of 0.84 m. With globally available TanDEM-X data, the technique described here will potentially provide accurate global maps of mangrove canopy height at 12 m spatial resolution and provide crucial information for understanding biomass and carbon dynamics in the mangrove ecosystems.

The reliability of leaded and lead-free solders of BGA type packages on a printed circuit board was investigated by employing the standard drop test and 4-point bending test. Tested solder joints were examined by optical microscopy to identify associated failure mode. Three-dimensional finite element analysis(FEM) with ANSYS Workbench v.11 was carried out to understand the mechanical behavior of solder joints under the influence of bending or drop impact. The results of numerical analysis are in good agreement with those obtained by experiments. Packages in the center of the PCB experienced higher stress than those in the perimeter of the PCB. The solder joints located in the outermost comer of the package suffered from higher stress than those located in center region. In both drop and bending impact tests, the lead-free solder showed better performances than the leaded solders. The numerical analysis results indicated that stress and strain behavior of solder joint were dependent on various effective parameters.

3D reconstruction of a scene structure from un-calibrated image sequences has been long one of the central problems in computer vision. For 3D reconstruction in Euclidean space, projective reconstruction, which is classified into the merging method and the factorization, is needed as a preceding step. By calculating all camera projection matrices and structures at the same time, the factorization method suffers less from dia and error accumulation than the merging. However, the factorization is hard to analyze precisely long sequences because it is based on the assumption that all correspondences must remain in all views from the first frame to the last. This paper presents a new projective reconstruction method for recovery of 3D structure over long sequences. We break a full sequence into sub-sequences based on a quantitative measure considering the number of matching points between frames, the homography error, and the distribution of matching points on the frame. All of the projective reconstructions of sub-sequences are registered into the same coordinate frame for a complete description of the scene. no experimental results showed that the proposed method can recover more precise 3D structure than the merging method.

A fourth-order $\Sigma$-$\Delta$ modulator is designed and implemented in 0.6 $\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology. The modulator is verified by introducing nonlinear factors such as DC gain and slew rate in system model that determines the transfer function in S-domain and in time-domain. Dynamic range is more than 110 dB and the peak SM is 102.6 dB at a clock rate of 2.8224 MHz for voiceband signal. The structure of a ∑-$\Delta$ modulator is a modified fourth-order ∑-$\Delta$ modulator using direct feedback loop method, which improves performance and consumes less power. The transmission zero for noise is located in the first-second integrator loop, which reduces entire size of capacitors, reduces the active area of the chip, improves the performance, and reduces power dissipation. The system is stable because the output variation with respect to unit time is small compared with that of the third integrator. It is easy to implement because the size of the capacitor in the first integrator, and the size of the third integrator is small because we use the noise reduction technique. This paper represents a new design method by modeling that conceptually decides transfer function in S-domain and in Z-domain, determines the cutoff frequency of signal, maximizes signal power in each integrator, and decides optimal transmission-zero frequency for noise. The active area of the prototype chip is 5.25$\textrm{mm}^2$, and it dissipates 10 mW of power from a 5V supply.

As Internet technologies are mature, many new applications that are different characteristics are emerging. Recently we see wide use of P2P(Peer to Peer) applications of which traffic shows different statistical characteristics compared with traditional application such as web(HTTP) and FTP(File Transfer Protocol). In this paper, we measured subscriber network of KT(Korea Telecom) to analyze P2P traffic characteristics. We show flow characteristics of measured traffic. We also estimate Hurst parameter of P2P traffic and compare self-similarity with web traffic. Analysis results indicate that P2P traffic is much bustier than web traffic and makes both upstream traffic and downstream traffic be symmetric. To predict parameters related QoS such as packet loss and delays we model P2P traffic using two self-similar traffic models and predict both loss probability and mm delay then compare their accuracies. With simulation we show that the self-similar traffic models we derive predict the performance of P2P traffic accurately and thus when we design a network or evaluate its performance, we can use the P2P traffic model as reference input traffic.

In this paper, in order to derive the two-dimensional field effect of n-InAlAs/InGaAs HEMTs, we suggested analytical model by solving the two-dimensional Poisson's equation in both InAlAs and InGaAs regions by taking into account the longitudinal field variation, field-dependent mobility, and the continuity condition of the channel current flowing within the quantum well shaped channel. Derived expressions for long and short channel devices would be applicable to the entire operating regions in a unified manner. Simulation results show that the drain saturation current increases and the threshold voltage decreases as drain voltage increases. Compared with the conventional model, the present model may offer more reasonable explanation for the drain-induced threshold voltage roll-off, the Early effect, and the channel length modulation effect. Furthermore, it is expected that the proposed model would provide more reasonable theoretical basis for analyzing various long and short channel InAlAs/InGaAs HEMT devices.
Most oil refineries and chemical plants have flare systems designed to mitigate pressure rises in process facilities in case of emergencies that require the release of large amounts of gas due to sudden process shutdowns such as power outages. However, the rise of the flame of the flare system causes civil complaints from residents around the factory due to visible pollution, and economic loss occurs in the company, which requires constant management. In this study, two items were diagnosed and analyzed in order to derive the optimal operation method of flare system. First, to detect the cause of the rise in flame height, the acoustic leak detector was used to check gas leaks in safety valves and pressure control valves. Second, to identify the cause of flame instability, the pulsation phenomenon was diagnosed through the CFD simulation and modeling experiments of the sealing drum. By confirming the leak at 4.3% of the safety valve and 10% of the pressure control valve, the cause of abnormal sparking was derived. The information presented in this study can be easily applied to any company that has a flare system, and is expected to prevent complaints and product loss.
A total of 9,540 pigs were evaluated for their growth performance to provide information on the development of different feeding strategies to support maximum rate of protein deposition (PD). Large variations in growth performance and protein deposition rate were found in the population used in this study (ADG from 701 to 974 g/day; ADFI from 1,726 to 2,498 g/day; Feed/gain from 2.10 to 2.90; Backfat thickness from 12.4 to 20.5 mm and PD rate from 103 to 153 g/day). It was found that ADG was positively correlated to PD ($R^2=0.9362$, p<0.0001) while FCR was negatively correlated to PD ($R^2=0.4031$, p<0.0001). Backfat thickness was negatively correlated to PD ($R^2=0.7024$, p<0.0001) and to ADG ($R^2=0.5096$, p<0.0001). The estimated lysine requirement based on PD rate also showed large variation (12.37 to 18.38 g/day true ileal digestible lysine on average between 25 and 100 kg), thus strongly indicated the need of separate feeding strategies for each group of pigs. When pigs were divided into three categories according to estimated whole body PD rate, the group of pigs with the highest PD rate grew faster by 6.3 and 13.9% than pigs with intermediate and low PD rate, respectively. Feed utilization was also more efficient in pigs with a high PD rate. It appeared that pigs with high PD rate maintained higher PD rate especially in the later stage of their life. Pigs with high PD rate require an extra amount of 1.2 and 2.4 g/true digestible lysine per day and 0.4 and 0.8% more lysine in the diet than pigs with intermediate and low PD rate during the growing-finishing period respectively. Results of this study suggest that there is a need for separate feeding strategies for individual group of pigs with different PD rate. It should be noted that average value for each group presented in this report is not the adequate amount for an animals potential for maximum PD rate. With recent development in growth modeling and access to computer technologies to facilitate computation, pork producers can easily estimate pigs protein deposition rate and thus can make their own feeding strategies.
