PI-CCC Based Switched Reluctance Generator Applications for Wind Power Generation Using MATLAB/SIMULINK

  • This paper presents a novel nonlinear model of Switched Reluctance Generator (SRG) based on wind Energy Conversion system. Closed loop control with based Proportional Integrator current Chopping Control machine model is used. A Power converter in SRG can be controlled by using PI-CCC proposed model, and can be produced maximum power efficiency and minimize the ripple contents in the output of SRG. A second power converter namely PI based controlled PWM Inverter is used to interface the machine to the Grid. An effective control technique for the inverter, based on the pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme, has been developed to make the line voltage needs less power switching devices and each pair of turbine the generated active power starts increasing smoothly. This proposed control scheme feasibility and validity are simulated on SIMULINK/SIM POWER SYSTEMS only.

  • 32Cyg의 B형 별 주위에 형성된 $str{\"{o}}mgren$ 구를 가정하고 공전궤도위상 0.06과 0.78에서 이론적인 선 윤곽을 계산하였다. 항성 풍의 속도분포에 따라 alfv n 파 모형의 선윤곽이 누승 함수의 속도 분포를 이용한 모형의 선 윤곽 보다 전체적으로 낮은 세기를 보였다. HII 모형은 HII 영역이 없는 경우보다 약한 선 윤곽을 보였으나 $\phi$ = 0.06에서는 HII 영역이 없는 모형이 HII 영역을 가진 모형에 비해 단지 적색편이 쪽에서만 약간의 차이를 보였다. 한편 $\phi$ = 0.79에서 HII 영역을 가진 $Alfv{\'{e}}n$ 파 모형의 선 윤곽은 적색편이와 청색 편이 쪽에서 각각 다른 속도기울기의 누승 함수 모형으로써 나타낼 수 있었다. 이는 급격한 초기 속도 기울기를 고려하여 2개의 가속영역을 가진 누승 함수 모형이라면 항성 풍의 가속과정을 고려하지 않음으로써 생기는 오차를 줄일 수 있음을 의미한다.의미한다.

동북아 전력계통 연계를 위한 신뢰도 산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reliability Evaluation for Interconnecting Power Systems in Northeast Asia)

  • This paper proposes a reliability evaluation for interconnection planning using a tie line equivalent assisting generator model (TEAG) that considers the uncertainties of the interconnected transmission systems and the tie lines. Development of this model was triggered by the need to perform probabilistic reliability evaluations on the NEAREST (North East Asia Region Electric Systems Tied) interconnection. The TEAG is the basis for the newly developed interconnection systems reliability evaluation computer program, NEAREL. The model is capable of considering uncertainties associated with generators, tie lines, and the tied grids. Reliability evaluations for six interconnection scenarios involving the power systems of six countries in the Asian north eastern region were performed using NEAREL. Sensitivity analysis was used to determine reasonable tie line capacities for three interconnected country scenarios of the six countries. Test results and summarized comments of the scenarios are included in the paper.

다물체 동역학을 이용한 송전선의 슬릿점프 시뮬레이션 (Sleet Jump Simulation of Power Transmission Line by Using Multi-Body Dynamics)

  • Since the power transmission line(PTL) passes through the high mountain and heavy snowfall region, it is necessary to keep the stability of the PTL. In this study, PTL is modeled as a mass-spring-damper system by using RecurDyn. The lumped mass model is verified by calculated from the simulation comparing the deflection analysis according to the sag and tension. In order to analyze the dynamic behavior of PTL, a damping coefficient for a multi-body model is derived by using the free vibration test and Rayleigh damping theory. Sleet jump simulation according to the region is performed. The maximum jump height, icing sag and amount of jump are confirmed. Also, the amount of jump and the reaction force at the supporting point according to the tension and load of ice are analyzed, respectively. As a result, it is noted that the amount of jump and reaction force are influenced more by the load of ice than by the tension of PTL.

  • This paper presents a hybrid algorithm for solving security constrained OPF in interconnected power systems, which is based on the combined application of evolutionary programming (EP) and sequential quadratic programming (SQP). The objective functions are the minimization of generation fuel costs and system power losses. In OPF considering security, the outages are selected by contingency ranking method. The control variables are the active power of the generating units, the voltage magnitude of the generator, transformer tap settings and SVC setting. The state variables are the bus voltage magnitude, the reactive power of the generating unit, line flows and the tie line flow. The method proposed is applied to the modified IEEE 14buses model system.

한국전력 노후 가공송전선의 동적송전용량에 대한 재평가 (A Reassessment for Dynamic Line Rating of Aged Overhead Transmission Lines in Kepco's Network)

  • During the past 2 decades, many electric power companies have been searching various solutions in order to supply power with economical and more efficiency in the present transmission utilities. Most interesting method to increase the line capacity of overhead transmission lines without constructing any new line might be to adapt Dynamic Line Rating(DLR). Specified rating is normally determined by any current level, not by conductor temperature. Although specified rating is essential to design transmission line, dip may be the most important factor in limiting transmission capacity. Transmission lines built by the oldest dip criterion among the 3 different design criteria for conductor dip are nearly over one-half of all Kepco's transmission lines. This paper describes an up-rating method for those transmission lines in order to apply DLR technique. Based on limit dip conductor temperature and current of the transmission lines, limitation performance and effectiveness in applying DLR with weather model are analyzed. As a result of analysis, it can be shown that an improved method could be effectively used for increasing the line rating of old transmission line which was built by the design criterion with low dip margin.

이동분포하중을 받는 타이어의 음향방사 해석 (Sound Radiation Analysis of Tire under The Action of Moving Line Forces)

  • A theoretical model has been studied to describe the sound radiation analysis for structure vibration noise of vehicle tires under the action of random moving line forces. When a tire is analyzed, it had been modeled as curved beams with distributed springs and dash pots that represent the radial, tangential stiffness and damping of tire, respectively. The reaction due to fluid loading on the vibratory response of the curved beam is taken into account. The curved beam is assumed to occupy the plane y=0 and to be axially infinite. The expression for sound power is integrated numerically and the results examined as a function of Mach number, wave-number ratio and stiffness factor. The experimental investigation for structure vibration noise of vehicle tire under the action of random moving line forces has been made. Based on the Spatial Transformation of Sound Field techniques, the sound power and sound radiation are measured. Results strongly suggest that operation condition in the tire material properties and design factors of the tire govern the sound power and sound radiation characteristics.

Parameters On-line Identification of Dual Three Phase Induction Motor by Voltage Vector Injection in Harmonic Subspace

  • This paper introduces a novel method of on-line identifying the stator resistance and leakage inductance of dual three phase induction motor (DTPIM). According to the machine mathematical model, the stator resistance and leakage inductance can be estimated using the voltage and current values in harmonic subspace. Thus a method of voltage vector injection in harmonic subspace (VVIHS) is proposed, which causes currents in harmonic space. Then the errors between command and actual harmonic currents are utilized to regulate the machine parameters, including stator resistance and leakage inductance. The principle is presented and analyzed in detail. Experimental results prove the feasibility and validity of proposed method.

  • In this paper, the inductive power collector using electromagnetic induction for the PRT{Personal Rapid Transit) system is suggested and some ideas for power collector design to improve the power transfer performance are presented. The proposed the inductive power collector is used for the PRT system, which has a large air-gap and demands a large electrical power capability. But, low output power is generated due to a loosely coupled characteristic of the large air-gap. Therefore, double layer construction of secondary winding, which was divided in half to increase both output current and output voltage was suggested. Also, model of power collector and parallel winding structure are presented, in addition, the performance of inductive power collector to alignment condition between the primary power line and the inductive power transformer was verified by computer simulation of 2kW model.

  • The accurate analysis on railway traction power system should be carried out a load forecast preferentially. Commonly, it has been performed through Train Performance Simulator (TPS). In the study focused on velocity or location of train, however, the electric power consumption have been computed by converting mechanical power according to given velocity. Therefore, this paper presents a development of a mathematical model for electric load. The proposed load model is expressed as polynomial to reflect the influence of variance of train speed, that is, the model expresses the power as a function of train speed. in this study, method of the least squares method is used to find each coefficient and field test is performed to acquire data, electric power and speed of train in commercial running line.
