유역형상과 수리특성을 고려한 경험론적 유달부하식 개발 (Development of the Empirical Model for Estimating the Delivered Pollutant Loads Considering Geomorphic and Hydraulic Characteristics)

  • This study was conducted to develop a model equation to estimate the delivered point and nonpoint pollutant loads, which are critical factor to determine the water quality of watersheds. The model equation was developed by considering various factors such as biological removal and delivered distance of pollutants, basin shape and geomorphic runoff condition. The parameters for the model equation were estimated in 3 periods, which are October to March, April to June, and July to September. As a parameter, ${\alpha}_p$, ${\alpha}_n$, ${\beta}$, a and b for $BOD_5$-delivered pollutant loads were estimated to be 0.010~0.0155, 0.051, -0.033, 0.018~0.050 and 0.93, respectively. For T-N, ${\alpha}_p$, ${\alpha}_n$, ${\beta}$ a and b were estimated to be 0.0060~0.0140, 0.014, -0.02, 0.044~0.079 and 0.93, respectively. The same parameters for T-P were estimated to be 0.0160, 0.014, -0.0250, 0.015 and 1.21, respectively. The relationship, $E^2$ (Model efficiency), between observed and calculated delivered pollutant loads showed 0.65 for $BOD_5$, 0.81 for T-N, and 0.66 for T-P, respectively. Consequently, the model equation is effective to estimate delivered pollutant loads for TMDL.

  • Based on the study of soil water dynamics, this study is to suggest an advanced stochastic soil water model for future study for drought application. One distinguishable remark of this study is the derivation of soil water dynamic controling equation for 3-stage loss functions in order to understand the temporal behaviour of soil water with reaction to the precipitation. In terms of modeling, a model with rather simpler structure can be applied to regenerate the key characteristics of soil water behavior, and especially the probabilistic solution of the derived soil water dynamic equation can be helpful to provide better and clearer understanding of soil water behavior. Moreover, this study will be the future cornerstone of applying to more realistic phenomenon such as drought management.

Therefore it may give rise to a serious trouble if it make a wrong application of the scour Equation. 하드디스크 슬라이더의 동적수치해석 (A Numerical Dynamic Simulation of the Slider in HDD)

  • A numerical dynamic simulation is necessary to investigate the capacity of the HDD. The slider surface become more and more complicated to make the magnetized area smaller and readback signal stronger. So a numerical dynamic simulation must be preceded to develop a new slider in HDD. The dynamic simulations of air-lubricated slider bearing have been peformed using FIFD(Factored Implicit Finite Difference) method. The governing equation, Reynolds equation Is modified with Fukui and Kaneko model(FK model) which includes the first and the second-order slip. The equations of motion for the slider bearing are solved simultaneously with the modified Reynolds equation for the case of three degrees of freedom. The slider transient response for disk step bump and slider impulse force is given for various case and for iteration algorithm and new algorithm.

A Model for Correlation of Various Solvatochromic Parameters with Composition in Aqueous and Organic Binary Solvent Systems

  • The applicability of the combined nearly ideal binary solvent/Redlich-Kister (CNIBS/R-K) equation for correlation of various solvatochromic parameters (SP) with composition is shown employing 84 experimental data sets for aqueous and organic binary solvent systems at temperatures ranging 15 to $75^{\circ}C$. The model provides a simple computational model to correlate/predict different SP values in various binary solvent systems. In proposed equations, $MPD_s$ (mean percentage deviations) are between 0.0500% and 6.9591% in mixtures of dimethyl sulfoxide with 2-methylpropan-2-ol and benzene with 2-methylpropan-2-ol, respectively. Correlation of the calculated and experimental values of various SP give an equation with an overall mean percentage deviation (OMPD) of 1.1900, $R^2$ = 0.99692, s.e = 0.01223 and F = 341925.51. Approximately 70% of the calculated SP values have IPD (individual percentage deviation) lower than one and it is possible to predict unmeasured SP values by using only eight experimental data.

  • Finite element simulation is a widely applied method for practical purpose in various metal forming process. However, in the simulation of elasto-plastic behavior of porous material or in crystal plasticity coupled multi-scale simulation, it requires much calculation time, which is a limitation in its application in practical situations. A machine learning model that directly outputs the constitutive equation without iterative calculations would greatly reduce the calculation time of the simulation. In this study, we examined the possibility of artificial intelligence based constitutive equation with the input of existing state variables and current velocity filed. To introduce the methodology, we described the process of obtaining the training data, machine learning process and the coupling of machine learning model with commercial software DEFROMTM, as a preliminary study, via rigid plastic finite element simulation.

조립토 지반에 설치된 침투트렌치의 비침투량 산정식 제안 (Suggestion of the Specific Infiltration Equation for Infiltration Trench Installed in a Granular Ground)

  • 본 연구에서는 제주도와 같이 투수성이 매우 높은 지반에서의 침투량을 산정하기 위하여 침투트렌치에 대한 모형시험 및 현장시험을 실시하였다. 모형실험결과를 토대로 비침투량 산정식을 제안하였다. 제안된 식에 의해 산정된 침투량은 기존식에 의해 산정된 침투량보다 약 2배 정도 크게 나타났다. 한편, 현장침투시험을 통해 얻어진 침투량을 제안식과 기존식에 의해 얻은 침투량과 비교 한 결과, 현장침투시험을 통해 얻은 침투량은 제안식에 의해 얻은 침투량과 거의 비슷하게 나타났다. 따라서 투수성이 높은 조립토 지반에 설치된 침투트렌치의 침투량을 산정함에 있어 본 연구에서 제안된 침투량 산정식을 적용하는 것이 타당하다.

  • In this study, assume that the stock price obeys the stochastic differential equation driven by mixed fractional Brownian motion, and the short rate follows the Vasicek model. Then, the Black-Scholes partial differential equation is held by using fractional Ito formula. Finally, the pricing formulae of the barrier option are obtained by partial differential equation theory. The results of Black-Scholes model are generalized.

  • The method of assessing drug availability has been the subject of much concern and the equation is presented to estimate the drug availability of dosage forms and to calculate the desirable rates of drug absorption in a model. $Xmax/X_0=(k_1/k_2)^{{\frac{1}{1-^-k_1/k_2}}}$ To facilitate the calculations involved in the equation, a program in Fortran with Format was used in the IBM 1130 digital computer system. Using availability, $Xmax/X_0$, and the given rates of elimination from the blood, the desirable rates of drug absorption in the model were calculated and shown in detail. Applicabiliy of the equation to estimate the drug availability of dosage forms in the model was demonstrated with different sets of data from the literatures.

  • A numerical study for simulating a swirling pulverized coal combustion in axisymmetric geometry is done here by applying the weighted sum of gray gases model (WSGGM) approach with the discrete ordinate method (DOM) to model the radiative heat transfer equation. In the radiative transfer equation, the same polynomial equation and coefficients for weighting factors as those for gas are adopted for the coal/char particles as a function of partial pressure and particle temperature. The Eulerian balance equations for mass, momentum, energy, and species mass fractions are adopted with the standard ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model, whereas the Lagrangian approach is used for the particulate phase for soot. The eddydissipation model is employed for the reaction rate for gaseous mixture, and the single-step first-order reaction model for the devolatilization process for coal. By comparing the numerical results with experimental ones, the models used here are confirmed and found to be one of good alternatives for simulating the combustion as well as radiative characteristics.
