Development and Field Test of a Smart-home Gas Safety Management System (스마트 홈 가스안전관리 시스템 개발 및 현장시험)

  • In this paper, we proposed a system and a scenario to raise efficiency of gas safety management by developing wireless ZigBee communication modules, smart-home gas safety appliances and the system suitable for gas safety. Our designed system consists of a micom gas meter, an automatic extinguisher, sensors, and a wall-pad. A micom-gas-meter monitors gas flow, gas pressure, and earthquake. An automatic fire extinguisher checks combustible gas leaks and temperature of $100^{\circ}C$(cut off) and $130^{\circ}C$(fire). Sensors measure smoke and CO gas. In our novel system, a micom-gas meter cut off inner valve with warnings, an automatic fire extinguisher cut off middle valve and spray extinguishing materials, and sensors generate signals when detecting smoke and CO and then take a next action. Gas safety appliances and sensors automatically takes measures, and transmit those information to a wall-pad. The wall-pad again transmits real time information to server. Users can check and manage gas safety situations by connecting BcN server through web or mobile application. We hereby devised scenarios for gas safety and risk management based on the smart, and demonstrated their efficiency through test applied to filed.

  • Recently, through the development of IT and mobile technology, spatial information plays a role of infrastructure of the people life and the national economy. Many kinds of applications including SNS and social commerce is to leverage the spatial information for their services. In the case of domestic, spatial open platform that can provide national spatial data infrastructure services in a stable manner has been released. And many people have been interested to the open platform services. However, the open platform currently has many difficulties to analyze its service status and load in real time, because it does not hold a real-time monitoring system. Therefore, we propose a method that can analyze the real-time service status of the open platform using the analysis of the web server log information. In particular, we propose the results of the analysis as follows: amount of data transferred, network bandwidth, number of visitors, hit count, contents usage, and connection path. We think the results presented in this study is insufficient to understand the perfect service status of the open platform. However, it is expected to be utilized as the basic data for understanding of the service status and for system expansion of the open platform, every year.

  • Recently mobile users can access to internet using smart phone at any place and any time, through which they can search and share information. In addition, as the sensors with high-tech functions become cheaper and miniaturized along with the development of MEMS (micro-electo mechanical systems) technology, the extent to utilize smart phone is increasing. Smart phone is equipped with various sensors such as high-resolution camera, GPS, gyroscope and magnetic sensor, which is an appropriate system configuration for remote monitoring research using camera. The remote monitoring system requires camera for video and internet network to send video, for which it has a limitation that it is influenced by the monitoring location. This study is aimed to design and develop the monitoring app. which can be remotely monitored using smart phone technology. The developed monitoring app was designed to take images of ROI (region of interest) within the specified time and to automatically send the images to the server. The developed app. is also possible to be remotely controlled by SMS (short message service). The monitoring proposed in this study can take high-resolution images using CMOS built in the smart phone and send the images and information to the server automatically at any place and any time using 3G and Wi-Fi networks.

  • In the ubiquitous computing environments, ICT industries of current society are developed in enormous growth. Medicine or patients with mobile devices can access at any time, any place. The medical procedures at the patient bedside are out of the scope of current systems, which means that patient record and image data access during the medical visit or the execution, recording and confirmation of the medicine prescriptions, still do not enjoy computerized support. Today, the exchange of medical images and clinical information is well defined by DICOM and HL7 standards. The DICOM independent terminal equipment image access system was developed in which a DICOM Engine acts as the gateway between a PACS DB and user's terminal. Implementation system is compatible with most currently available Integration system models. This paper presents a software technology where the medical and nursing staff will be equipped with any device connected by wire and wireless to a central server that provides access to the electronic patient records and that will actively inform about tasks pending distribution. The prototype described in this article implements a medical images and structured reports server that makes the search and recovery of data stored in the DICOM standard possible.

Design and Implementation of Luo-kuan Recognition Application (낙관 인식을 위한 애플리케이션의 설계 및 구현)

  • In oriental paintings, there is Luo-kuan that expressed in a single picture by compressing the artist's information. Such Luo-kuan includes various information such as the title of the work or the name of the artist. Therefore, information about Luo-kuan is considered important to those who collect or enjoy oriental paintings. However, most of the letters in the Luo-kuan are difficult kanji, kanzai, or various shapes, so it is difficult for the ordinary people to interpret. In this paper, we developed an Luo-kuan search application to easily check the information of the Luo-kuan. The application uses a search algorithm that analyzes the captured Luo-kuan image and sends it to the server to output information about the Luo-kuan candidates that are most similar to the Luo-kuan images taken from the database in the server. We also compared and analyzed the accuracy of the algorithm based on 170 Luo-kuan data in order to find out the ranking of the Luo-kuan that matched the Luo-kuan among the candidates. Accuracy Analysis Experimental Results The accuracy of the search algorithm of this application is confirmed to be about 90%, and it is anticipated that it will be possible to develop a platform to automatically analyze and search images in a big data environment by supplementing the optimizing algorithm and multi-threading algorithm.

  • When developing an android mobile application the androids intent is used as a mechanism to send messages between local equipment of androids application inner part and other applications. But the androids intent does not support sending messages via each android products intent. If there is a way to support each androids equipments to send messages, it will be easier to make non-stopping services. Non-stopping service is used when the user is using the android to do word or searching services and suddenly changes to a different android product but still maintains the progress what was currently being done without waiting the programs to be loaded. It is possible to send messages to each android products by using the socket, but the connection must be maintained stably which is the weak point. In this paper, I am suggesting a BRIF(Broadcasting Remote Intent Framework) framework to send messages to different android products. BRIF is a framework that uses the Googles C2DM service which services asynchronous transmissions to different android products. This is organized with the C2DM server, RemoteContext Api, web server and RISP(Remote Intent Service Provider) which is will be easy to be used for the developers since there are no big changes for coding compared to the intent code.

  • As the number of mobile device users increases, research on various user authentication methods has been actively conducted to protect sensitive personal information. Knowledge-based techniques have the disadvantage that security is deteriorated due to easy exposure of authentication means, and proprietary-based techniques have a problem of increasing construction cost and low user convenience to use the service. In order to solve this problem, a FIDO authentication system, which is a user authentication method using a smart device, has been proposed. Since the FIDO authentication system performs authentication based on the biometric information of the user, the risk of the authentication means being leaked is low, and since the authentication information is stored in the user's smart device, the user information due to server hacking is solved. Through this, it is possible to select and utilize user authentication technology suitable for the security level of the service. In this paper, we introduce the FIDO authentication system, explain the main parts required for FIDO UAF client-server development, and show examples of implementation using UAF open source provided by ebay.

  • Recently, Software Development was applied to new-approach methods as a various form : client-server system and web-programing, object-orient concept, distributed development with a network environments. On the other hand, it be concerned about the distributed development technology and increasing of object-oriented methodology. These technology is spread out the software quality and improve of software production, reduction of the software develop working. Futures, we considered about the distributed software development technique with a many workstation. In this paper, we discussed optimal release problem based on a stochastic differential equation model for the distributed Software development environments. In the past, the software reliability applied to quality a rough guess with a software development process and approach by the estimation of reliability for a test progress. But, in this paper, we decided to optimal release times two method: first, SRGM with an error counting model in fault detection phase by NHPP. Second, fault detection is change of continuous random variable by SDE(stochastic differential equation). Here, we decide to optimal release time as a minimum cost form the detected failure data and debugging fault data during the system test phase and operational phase. Especially, we discussed to limitation of reliability considering of total software cost probability distribution.

Password-Based Authentication Protocol for Remote Access using Public Key Cryptography (공개키 암호 기법을 이용한 패스워드 기반의 원거리 사용자 인증 프로토콜)

  • User authentication, including confidentiality, integrity over untrusted networks, is an important part of security for systems that allow remote access. Using human-memorable Password for remote user authentication is not easy due to the low entropy of the password, which constrained by the memory of the user. This paper presents a new password authentication and key agreement protocol suitable for authenticating users and exchanging keys over an insecure channel. The new protocol resists the dictionary attack and offers perfect forward secrecy, which means that revealing the password to an attacher does not help him obtain the session keys of past sessions against future compromises. Additionally user passwords are stored in a form that is not plaintext-equivalent to the password itself, so an attacker who captures the password database cannot use it directly to compromise security and gain immediate access to the server. It does not have to resort to a PKI or trusted third party such as a key server or arbitrator So no keys and certificates stored on the users computer. Further desirable properties are to minimize setup time by keeping the number of flows and the computation time. This is very useful in application which secure password authentication is required such as home banking through web, SSL, SET, IPSEC, telnet, ftp, and user mobile situation.

A Large Scale Distributed Presence Service System by SIP Message Control Session (SIP 메시지 제어 세션에 의한 대용량 분산 프레즌스 서비스 시스템)

  • Presence service provides various information about users such as locations, status of on/offline and network access methods, and number of presence resources required by each users increases largely in mobile environment. Therefore an effective method which can reduce load of presence servers is needed. In this paper, a large scale distributed presence service system which can distribute effectively total presence system load of presence servers using message control session has been presented. This large scale distributed presence service system provides various presence information for massive volumes of users. In this study, a new message control session architecture which can dynamically distribute loads of the presence servers to multiple servers has been presented, and a new presence information data architecture for controlling load of the presence servers has been designed. In this architecture, each presence server can exchange current load level in real time to get variance of the total system load change according to user numbers, and can distribute system load to maintain load level of each server evenly. The performance of the proposed large scale distributed presence service system has been analysed by experiments. The results has been showed that average presence resource subscription processing time reduced from 42.6% to 73.6%, and average presence notification processing time reduced from 37.6% to 64.8%.
