  • By the explosive growth of IT technologies, mobile phones have embedded a lot of functions and everyone can use them with facility. But there are various cybercrimes as invasions of one's privacy or thefts of company's sensitive information using a built-in digital camera function in a mobile phone. In this paper, we propose a scheme for analyzing evidences by digital pictures on mobile phones. Therefore we analyze the features of digital pictures on mobile phones and make databases of characteristic patterns based on the vendor and the model of mobile phone. The proposed scheme will help to acquire digital evidences by providing a better decision of the vendor and/or the model of mobile phone by cybercrime suspects.

  • In Korea mobile phone subscribers exceeded 1 million people in 1995, and ten million people in 1998. Prevalence of the mobile phone increased dramatically over 110% compared to the population. And all family members including children and students use one or two mobile terminal. Mobile phone is obviously necessary good more than washer, vacuum cleaner, passenger car. Our daily life with mobile communication are conveniently positioned, but communication related costs including the price of the device has become a big burden on the household. But the government does not seem to do the right role at the right time to prevent the failure of the market to further maximize consumer welfare and social welfare through fair competition. This principal-agent problems exist especially in perspective of joint use of the mobile communication network, number portability, separation of phone distribution and phone service and network neutrality among in mobile communication policies since the early 1990s up to now.

  • The recent trend in transportation planning information is to reduce traffic survey costs and enhance accuracy by using and converging various sources of external data. In Korea, mobile phone data can help generate useful transportation planning information, thanks to the universal use of mobile phones, which are present in a number greater than that of the population. This paper addresses measures to derive trip generation information from mobile phone data and verifies the value of the system for practical use by correlation analysis with KTDB trip generation data. The results show that trip generation information produced by mobile phone data correlates with existing (KTDB) trip generation data.

  • Due to the rapid increase in mobile-phone use, various kinds of malfunctions have occurred recently. Among them, the mobile-phone addiction causes serious social problems. In particular, since teenagers are immature, they are easily addicted to new technology. In order to prevent from the mobile-phone addiction, a lot of research has been performed in various ways. This paper focuses on the differences in gender and time perspectives of adolescent and analyze the relationships between time perspectives and self-efficacy for preventing mobile-phone addiction. In order to achieve our research goals, we firstly survey on 1,224 secondary school students to analyze the gender differences about time perspectives. And then, we secondly survey on 269 high school students to examine the mediation role of self-efficacy between time perspectives and mobile-phone addiction by a structural equation model. Based on the results of our analyses, we provide an educational guide that can prevent mobile-phone addiction from secondary school students.

  • In order to block mobile junk messages automatically, many studies on spam filters have applied machine learning algorithms. Most previous research focused only on the accuracy rate of spam filters from the view point of the algorithm used, not on individual user's preferences. In terms of individual taste, the spam filters implemented on a mobile device have the advantage over spam filters on a network node, because it deals with only incoming messages on the users' phone and generates no additional traffic during the filtering process. However, a spam filter on a mobile phone has to consider the consumption of resources, because energy, memory and computing ability are limited. Moreover, as time passes an increasing number of feature words are likely to exhaust mobile resources. In this paper we propose a spam filter model distributed between a users' computer and smart phone. We expect the model to follow personal decision boundaries and use the uniform resources of smart phones. An authorized user's computer takes on the more complex and time consuming jobs, such as feature selection and training, while the smart phone performs only the minimum amount of work for filtering and utilizes the results of the information calculated on the desktop. Our experiments show that the accuracy of our method is more than 95% with Na$\ddot{i}$ve Bayes and Support Vector Machine, and our model that uses uniform memory does not affect other applications that run on the smart phone.

  • Recently, due to the proliferation of smartphones, users of mobile banking services which are based in wireless Internet without constraint of the time and places are significantly increased. In the study, considering the characteristics of mobile banking services based on the smartphone and the user behavior. we analyse the factors which have an effect on the behavioral intention to use mobile banking services based on the smartphone. For this purpose, we use the model which is based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and add two constructs:the perceived enjoyment and the perceived risk. A survey data for 194 students at the K cyber university is used for statistical analysis. As a result, the perceived ease of use affects the perceived usefulness and the perceived enjoyment, and the perceived ease of use. And the perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment affect continuous intention to use. On the other hand, the hypothesis which the perceived risk would affect adversely the continuous intention to use is rejected. Through this study, we expect to provide the useful implications for the smartphone banking services and contribute to the development of strategy for them.

  • The User Interface (UI) in the company is more important than ever. But the application of UI for the industry use is restricted by various constraints such as delivery, technical limitation, etc. User Interface designers in the company have thought how to set up the UI organization, how to define identity and goal, how to communicate with other teams, what is the best UI process, and many other issues. In this paper, the author discuss the practical issues arisen when User Interface organization is formed and managed based on the mobile phone manufacture's perspective. The pros and cons of location of UI organization, advanced UI organization, UI member formation, UI role, UI output, UI evaluation, and understanding of UI in the society and company are discussed. This discussion will help UI designers in industry to set up and manage UI organization.
