Neural Network Modeling of Actinometric Optical Emission Spectroscopy Information for Mo nitoring Plasma Process (플라즈마 공정 감시를 위한 Actinometric 광방사분광기 정보의 신경망 모델링)

  • 플라즈마 공정은 집적회로 제작을 위한 미세 박막의 증착과 패턴닝에 핵심적으로 이용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 플라즈마공정감시와 제어에 응용될 수 있는 모델을 제안한다. 본 모델은 광방사분광기 (Optical emission spectroscopy-OES)정보와 역전파 신경망을 이용해서 개발하였다. 제안된 기법은 Oxide 식각공정에서 수집한 데이터에 적용하였으며, 체계적인 모델링을 위해 공정데이터는 통계적 실험계획법을 적용하여 수집되었다. Raw OES 정보대신, Actinometric OES 정보를 이용하였으며, 신경망의 예측성능은 유전자 알고리즘을 이용해서 증진시켰다. OES의 차수를 줄이기 위해 주인자 분석 (Principal Component Analysis-PCA)을 세 종류의 분산(100, 99, 98%)에 대해서 적용하였다. 최적화한 모델의 예측에러는 323 $\AA/min$이었다. 이전에 PCA를 적용하고 은닉층 뉴런의 함수로 최적화한 모델의 예측에러는 570 $\AA/min$이었으며, 개발된 모델은 이에 비해 43% 증진된 예측 성능을 보이고 있다.

  • The caustic drugs are classified into acid and alkali. Oral intake of these drugs cause histological injuries to the surfaces of oral cavity, laryngopharynx, and esophagus. Caustic drugs such as detergents and brilliants are easily contacted at homes. However, until now, the epidemiology and the clinical statistics of caustic drug ingestion in Korea were not carried out. This is a case report of sodium hydroxide - lye, a caustic drug more toxic than the others - ingestion with complication of gastroesophageal perforation, rapidly progressed mediastinitis and prompt death in the course of treatment.

Biodiesel Production Using a Mixture of Immobilized Rhizopus oryzae and Candida rugosa Lipases

  • Biodiesel conversion from soybean oil reached a maximum of 70% at 18 h using immobilized 1,3-specific Rhizopus oryzae lipase alone. Biodiesel conversion failed to reach 20% after 30 h when immobilized nonspecific Candida rugosa lipase alone was used. To increase the biodiesel production yield, a mixture of immobilized 1,3-specific R. oryzae lipase and nonspecific C. rugosa lipase was used. Using this mixture a conversion of greater than 99% at 21 h was attained. When the stability of the immobilized lipases mixture was tested, biodiesel conversion was maintained at over 80% of its original conversion after 10 cycles.

  • This study investigated the drying shrinkage and compressive strength properties of mortar by the blaine of ferro-nickel slag powder to estimate the applicability of ferro-nickel slag powder for cement replacement materials. As a test result, the blaine of ferro-nickel slag powder increased, the compressive strength increased and the shrinkage rate decreased.

  • It is very important in the navy operation to forecast and allocate appropriate petroleum requirements of a certain class of ships for the next year. The amount of petroleum requirements is very much dependent on the number of operating and training days or the running time of the main engine and the gas turbine of the ship. Two regression models were estimated and analyzed from real data obtained from several ships operated during the past three years. Finally, the amount of petroleum requirements that a ship is expected to spend for the next year can be estimated by using this estimated regression model based on operating hours of main engines and gas turbines of the ship.

A Network Analysis of Event Nouns (사건명사의 네트워크 분석)

  • This paper is to present how a network between words is formed. Not only have we looked at the distributivity, frequency and strength in connections between related words, but we have also presented some way to shed lights on what this network means to linguistic and social studies. The target source is morpho-analysis components of Trends 21 corpus which cover all newspaper articles from lour major newspapers, including Chosun, Joongang, Donga, and Hankyoreh, issued between 2000 and 2008. Based on nodes, links, and their connectivity indexes - density, degree, and centralizations, we have been able to retrieve and cluster related words forming the network with 20 event nouns. To reduce noise, we have considered the words whose t-score is above 1.64. By conducting both network and statistical analyses, we have presented the network of each event noun.

Robust Design Methodology for Utility Dependent Design Attributes (효용 종속인 설계 속성의 강건설계)

  • The ever-growing demand for enhanced competitiveness of engineered systems require designing in quality strategies that can efficiently incorporate multiple design attributes into a system. In a robust design, there must be consideration for any uncontrollable factors that should not be disregarded in the design process. Studies on multi-attribute design challenges usually assume mutual utility independence amongst the design attributes. However, mutual utility independence does not exist in every design situation. In this study, a new robust design methodology that has two utility-dependent attributes are presented. The proposed method was then compared with a traditional robust design that utilizes a wave soldering process design. The results of this case study indicate that the proposed method yields a better solution than the traditional method.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to provide basic data for the improvement of the standards related to the performance improvement of the firefighting equipment standards for special ambulances. Methods: Among the domestic firefighting equipment standards, the special ambulance standard was compared with the NFPA 1917 standard for the United States automobile ambulance 2019 and European Union European standard EN 1789 medical vehicle and its equipment, a road ambulance. Results: Anti-skid performance based on indoor noise standards, performance standards for interior lights, seat belt warning device, child car seat fixing device, safety handle, auxiliary footrest, and flooring materials should be supplemented. Conclusion: It is necessary to strengthen the production and performance standards for improvement to a level corresponding to the national standards, such as the United States and European Union.

  • Bombesin has a high binding affinity to gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR) and can be used as a targeting ligand in GRPR-related cancers. Because GRPR is overexpressed in prostate cancer, bombesin analogues have been investigated extensively for diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. In nuclear medicine, bombesin derivatives labeled with radiometals such as 55/57Co, 64Cu, 68Ga, 99mTc, and 177Lu or radiohalogen such as 131I and 211At were developed as markers for early detection of tumors and theragnostic tool for cancer treatment. This review focuses on the introduction of bombesin-based radiopharmaceuticals that are studied in pre-clinical or clinical research.

  • Newcastle disease (ND), infectious laryngotracheitis (ILT) and avian metapneumovirus (aMPV) can be similar making it critical to quickly differentiate them. Herein, we adapted pre-existing molecular-based diagnostic assays for NDV and ILTV, and developed new assays for aMPV A and B, for use under synchronized thermocycling conditions. All assays performed equivalently with linearity over a 5 log10 dynamic range, a reproducible (R2 > 0.99) limit of detection of ≥ 10 target copies, and amplification efficiencies between 86.8%-98.2%. Using biological specimens for NDV and ILTV showed 100% specificity. Identical amplification conditions will simplify procedures for detection in diagnostic laboratories.
