Omeprazole is usually administered as encapsulated enteric-coated granules and enteric-coated tablets because of its acid-labile nature. For children and patients who can not swallow, it can be mixed with water or other liquid after a capsule is opened or a tablet is crushed. This study was performed to compare omeprazole liquid formulations of tablet and capsule Omeprazole 20 mg capsule containing enteric coated granules was opened and 20 mg entric-coated tablet was ground to be mixed with sodium bicarbonate solution, orange juice or water. Each liquid formulation was poured into dissolution tester, mixed with first solution (artificial gastric juice; pH 1.2) for two hours, then with second solution (artifical enteric juice; pH 6.8) for thirty minutes. pH was measured periodically for two and half hours. Samples were drawn periodically, mixed with lansoprazole as an internal standard, and injected to HPLC. As results, pH of sodium bicarbonate solution of omeprazole was significantly higher than that of orange juice or water in first solution (6.2-7.4 vs. 1.2, p<0.005). At 150 min, concentrations of omeprazole in three diluents with granules and in sodium bicarbonate solution of tablet powder sustained significantly higher than in other solution of tablet powder (p<0.001). In conclusion, enteric-coated granules from capsule with three diluents and powder from tablet in sodium bicarbonate solution was stable during dissolution test, which would be appropriate and recommended for patient who can not swallow solid preparations.
This paper is to study on the change of volume and temperature of the solution which mixed water with ethanol. And its main purpose is to examine closely how the volume changes, and to find the method to maximize the change of the volume. The summaries for results of the study are; First, we were known that water and ethanol are homogeneously mixed. But two solvents does not mix homogeneously by different specific gravity at early stages. Second, we could see that the volume changed large at homogeneous mixed water with ethanol by stirrer, the change of volume is the largest value when water mixed with ethanol in the ratio of one to one. Third, when water mixed with ethanol in the ratio of one to one, the change of temperature is very large by activated hydrogen bond. We conclude that it is the best result when ratio of water and ethanol is one to one and the solution is well mixed.
Actually mixed assembly line is mixed with open and close type workstation. This workstation is called hybridworkstation. The propose of this paper is to determine the sequencing of model that minimize line length for actual(hybridworkstation) mixed model assembly line. we developed three mathematical formulation of the problem to minimize the overall length of a line with hybrid station. Mathematical formulation classified model by operato schedule. Mixed model assembly line is combination program and NP-hard program. Thus computation time is often a critical factor in choosing a method of determining the sequence. This study suggests a tabu search technique which can provide a near optimal solution in real time and use the hill climbing heuristic method for selecting initial solution. Modified tabu search method is compared with MIP(Mixed Integer Program). Numerical results are reported to demonstrate the efficiency of the method.
Mixed electrolytes formed by the combination of 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide (BMP-TFSI) ionic liquid and standard liquid electrolyte are prepared and characterized. Linear sweep voltammetry measurements demonstrate that these mixed systems exhibit a wide electrochemical stability window, allowing them to be suitable electrolyte for carbonaceous anode-based lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion cells composed of graphite anode and $LiCoO_2$ cathode are assembled using the mixed electrolytes, and their cycling performances are evaluated. The cell containing proper content of BMP-TFSI shows good cycling performance comparable to that of a cell assembled with organic electrolyte. The presence of BMP-TFSI in the mixed electrolyte contributes to the reduction of the flammability of electrolyte solution and the improvement of the thermal stability of charged $Li_{1-x}CoO_2$ in the electrolyte solution.
In this paper we reconsider the problem of steady mixed convection boundary-layer flow over a vertical flat plate studied in [6],[7] and [13]. Under favorable assumptions, we prove existence of multiple similarity solutions, we study also their asymptotic behavior. Numerical solutions are carried out using a shooting integration scheme.
This paper deals with the problem of mixed-model sequencing on an assembly line. In this sequencing problem we want to minimize the risk of the conveyor stoppage and the total utility work. This paper applies genetic algorithm to solve the mixed-model sequencing problem which is formulated as an integer programming. The solution we get from this algorithm is compared with the solution of Tsai(1995)'s.
In this paper, we introduce and study generalized mixed operator quasi-equilibrium problems(GMQOEP) in Hausdorff topological vector spaces and prove the existence results for the solution of (GMQOEP) in compact and noncompact settings by employing 1-person game theorems. Moreover, using coercive condition, hemicontinuity of the functions and KKM theorem, we prove new results on the existence of solution for the particular case of (GMQOEP), that is, generalized mixed operator equilibrium problem (GMOEP).
The absorption of Aminopyrine from the small intestine of a rat in combination with antihistamic agent, Diphenhydramine, Pheniramine, Tripelennamine and Diphenhydramine respectively, was examined. Through the rat small intestine canal, a definite quantity of a sample solution comprising 0.5 mM of Aminopyrine and 0.1 mM of each antihistamic agent in phosphate buffer solution (pH=7.4) was perfused through the rat small intestine at rate 5 ml per minute. The samples of the circulating solution were taken out after 5 minutes of the perfusion to give initial concentration and every 30 minutes for 3 hours. The amount of residual Aminopyrine in the solution was determined photometrically at 720 m.mu. by using 0.4% potassium ferricyanate solution and 1% ferric nitrate in 0.1N nitric solution. The mixed compounds of Aminopyrine with antihistamic agent, such as Aminopyrine with Diphehydramine, Aminopyrine with Pheniramine, Aminopyrine with Tripelennamine and Aminopyrine with Chloropheniramine showed more increased absorption than Aminopyrine alone. the absorption rate constants and apparent permeability coefficients of the mixed compounds were shown in detail.
Although corticosteroid have been shown to stabilize lysosomal membranes and prevent release of hydrolytic enzymes, the mechanism of membrane stabilization remains obscure. This study described functional assessment of efficiency of methylprednisolone in GIK solution by using a isolated Rat Heart Model. Isolated rat heart were subjected to a 2-minute period of coronary infusion with a cold GIK or methylprednisolone mixed cold GIK solution immediately before and also at the midpoint of a 60-minute period of hypothermic [$10{\pm}1^{\circ}C$] ischemic arrest. The result of this were as follow: 1.Spontaneous heart beat after ischemic arrest occurred 11 second later after Langendorffs reperfusion in the methylprednisolone mixed GIK group and 14 second later in the control group. 2.The percentage of recoveries of heart rate at 30 minute after postischemic working heart perfusion was 88.6\ulcorner.6% in the methylprednisolone mixed GIK group. This percentage of recovery was not significantly greater than the control group. 3.The percentage of heart function at 30 minute after postischemic working heart perfusion were; peak aortic pressure $90.8{\pm}4.5%$ coronary flow $87.5{\pm}1.45$ and aortic flow $74.9{\pm}11.8%$ in the methylprednisolone mixed GIK group. This percentage of recovery was significantly greater than the control group. [p<0.05]
Solvent extraction experiments of Pt(IV), Pd(II) and Rh(III) by Alamine336 were performed from the mixed chloride solutions. In the HCl concentration range from 1 to 5 M, most of Pt and Pd were extracted from the mixed solutions. However, the extraction percentage of Rh was much smaller than that of Pt and Pd. Lower concentration of Alamine336 in strong HCl solution led to higher separation factor of Rh from Pt and Pd. Adding $SnCl_2$ to the mixed solutions increased the extraction percentage of Rh, while the extraction percentage of Pt and Pd was little affected. Our results showed that selective separation of Rh or coextraction of the three platinum group metals from the mixed solution would be possible by adjusting the extraction conditions.
