  • In order to compensate for the defects of concrete made using only Portland cement, three-component powder mixed with blast slag and fly ash, and four-component powder concrete mixed with silica fume are being produced. When each of the admixtures is used alone, the above-described excellent performance is expressed and up to 70% of the powder is used. These technologies are also contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gases under Act on Low Carbon. Green Growth. However, calcium hydroxide is consumed as a stimulator or reaction in the case of silica fume, which causes latent hydroponicity of slag, pozzolane reaction, and silica mixtures represented by fly ash. It is known that the consumption of calcium hydroxide affects the alkalinity of concrete. As a result, the carbonation resistance is significantly lower among the durability of concrete. Research on quantification of such effects is insufficient. In this study, an experiment was conducted to quantify calcium hydroxide of the three-component and four-component powder paste using thermal analysis equipment (DTG), and the effect of the mixing amount was discussed.

  • 지구를 둘러싸고 있는 대기의 하층 부분을 구성하는 기체를 보통 공기라 말한다. 지상 20km 이하에서는 그 성분이 거의 일정한 비율로 존재하며, 질소, 산소, 기타 혼합기체로 구성된다. 공기밀도란 단위 부피 중에 포함된 공기의 질량을 말한다. 공기는 거의 일정한 성분으로 조성된 혼합기체이지만, 수증기는 변동이 큰 성분의 하나이다. 같은 온도, 같은 압력에서는 습공기의 밀도가 건공기의 밀도보다 작다. 보통 밀도는 압력이나 온도 변화에 따라 변화된다. 따라서 풍량 계산에 사용되는 중요 인자인 공기 상태량에 따른 밀도 계산과정과 actual air flow 와 standard air flow 의 관계를 살펴 보고자 한다.

  • High voltage cryogenic insulation issues need to be addressed in order to promote the commercialization of high temperature superconducting (HTS) equipment. As a fundamental step in the development of the optimum bushings for HTS devices, the breakdown characteristics of liquid nitrogen mixed with liquefied insulating gases such as $N_2$, $SF_6$, and $CF_4$ have been investigated. In order to investigate the possibility of substituting $CF_4$ gas for $SF_6$ gas for the bushings of HTS electrical equipment, AC withstanding voltage tests have been performed. In this paper, finding the maximum electric field $E_{max}$ using utilization factor ${\eta}$. This result is applicable to developing the real scale HTS equipment of the design parameters.

  • For gaseous fuel combustion with inherent $CO_2$ capture and low NOx emission, chemical-looping combustion(CLC) may yield great advantages of savings of energy to $CO_2$ separation and suppressing the effect on environment. In chemical-looping combustor, fuel is oxidized by metal oxide medium (oxygen carrier particle) in a reduction reactor. Reduced particles are transported to oxidation reactor and oxidized by air and recycled to reduction reactor. The fuel and the air are never mixed, and the gases from reduction reactor, $CO_2$ and $H_2O$, leave the system as separate stream. The $H_2O$ can be easily separated by condensation and pure $CO_2$ is obtained without any loss of energy for separation. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate inherent $CO_2$ separation and no NOx emission and to confirm high $CO_2$ selectivity, no side reaction (i.e., carbon deposition, hydrogen generation) by continuous reduction and oxidation experiment in a 50kWtb chemical-looping combustor. NiO/bentonite particle was used as a bed material and $CH_4$ and air were used as reacting gases for reduction and oxidation respectively.

$CF_4$ 분해에 미치는 비열플라즈마 반응기 구조의 영향 (Effect of Non-thermal plasma Reactor construction by $CF_4$ decomposition)

  • In this paper, the $CF_4$ decomposition rate and by-product were investigated for a simulated two plasma reactors which are metal particle reactor and spiral wire reactor as function of mixed gases. The $CF_4$ decomposition rate by plasma reactor with metal particle electrode had a gain of 20~25[%] over that by plasma reactor with spiral wire electrode. The $CF_4$ decomposition efficiency increases with increasing applied voltage up to the critical voltage for spark formation. The $CF_4$ decomposition efficiency of metal particle reactor was about 80[%] at AC 24[kV]. The $CF_4$ decomposition rate used $Ar-N_2$ as base gas was the highest among three base gases of $N_2$, $Ar-N_2$, air. The by-products of the $N_2$, $Ar-N_2$ base as were similar, but in case of air base they were different.

  • AC spark discharge voltage of SF6/CO2and SF6/N2 containing various mixed rate in volume percent (1, 5 and 10%) of SF6 in non-uniform fields are investigated. The needle to plane electrode gap spacing was 5 and 10 mm, and the gas pressure was varied within the range of 0.1~0.7 MPa. We have observed a N-characteristic typical for the electronegative gases even in gas mixtures of 1% SF6 with CO2 and N2 as buffer gases. Especially, the materials of the needle electrode affect the insulation properties of the gas mixtures drastically. On the contrary to the case of needle electrodes made by mild steel or high carbon steel, the N-characteristics are hardly perceived in the case of stainless steel needle in this experiment.

  • PDMS에 NaA zeolite를 0~40 wt% 가하여 PDMS-NaA zeolite 막을 제조하였다. SEM 관찰에 의하면 PDMS-NaA zeolite 막 내에 분산되어있는 NaA zeolite 입자의 크기는 $2{\sim}5{\mu}m$이었다. PDMS-NaA zeolite 막의 $N_2$$H_2$ 투과도는 막 내의 NaA zeolite 함량이 증가하면 증가하였고, $N_2$보다는 $H_2$의 투과도가 더 컸다. 그리고 PDMS-NaA zeolite 선택성($H_2/N_2$)은 NaA zeolite 함량이 증가하면 증가하였다.

  • The permeation of gas through polymer membrane at temperatures above its glass transition, generally occurs by a solution-diffusion mechanism. This mechanism is performed by the affinity difference between polymeric materials and gas molecules, and various technologies, such as copolymerization, impregnation and so on, have been researched to improve the affinity of polymeric material for the gases. In this study, permeability and selectivity for some gases were obtained from steady-state rates of gas permeation through silicone rubber membrane which is prepared by supercritical fluid extraction method. The permeability was measured by the volumetric method proposed by Barrer. Permeability was increased generally with temperature and permeation pressure. Silicone rubber membrane shows a higher permeability to $CO_2$ than to $O_2$, $N_2$. This results probably reflect the relatively high solubility of CO_2 in silicone rubber membrane, which is due to the affinity of $CO_2$ molecules. Since separation powers of $CO_2/N_2$, $CO_2/O_2$ were more than 200, and 100, respectively, it is able to separate $CO_2$ from the air, and the optimum temperature and pres-sure was 328.15 K, 60 cmHg respectively. In future, it is possible that the silicone rubber membrane can be used for separation or concentration of $CO_2$ through experiment for mixed gas separation.

Relationships Between Impurity Gas and Luminance/Discharge Characteristics of AC PDP

  • The luminance and discharge characteristics of an AC PDP may be significantly affected by a small amount of impurity gas in working gas. Impurity gases such as $O_2$, O , C and $H_2$ can be mixed in the manufacturing and lor discharge processes. In this paper, a small amount of impurity gas in AC PDP are introduced intertimally and the relationship between the amount of impurity gas and the luminance/discharge characteristics are investigated. The luminous efficiency decreased seriously with the increase in the partial pressure of impurity gases, especially in $H_2$, $O_2$ and $CO_2$, Under the condition of the impurity gas ratio of 2x $10^{-3}$ for Ar, $N_2$, $H_2$, $CO_2$ and $O_2$, the luminous efficiency decreased to about 8%, 8%, 32%, 36% and 50%, respectively.

  • 본 연구에서는 가스 하이드레이트 기술을 이용하여 철강 공정 배기가스로부터 $CO_2$를 분리하는데 사용하는 여러 촉진제의 성능을 조사하였다. 이 실험에서는 $CO_2/N_2$ 혼합가스 ($CO_2/N_2$=20/80, 40/60)와 $CO_2/N_2$ 이외에 CO, $H_2$가 첨가된 Blast furnace gas (BFG) 모델 가스를 대상 가스로 사용하였다. 촉진제로는 구조 II 하이드레이트를 형성한다고 알려진 tetrahydrofuran (THF), propylene oxide, 1,4-dioxane 를 사용하였으며, 각 가스에 대하여 촉진제를 농도별로 첨가했을 때 상평형점의 변화를 측정하였다. 상평형점은 "연속" Quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) 방식을 이용하였다. 또한, Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) 분석을 통하여 촉진제의 첨가가 가스 하이드레이트 구조에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다.
