A Study on the Prediction of Chloride Diffusion Coefficient in Concrete for mediocre apply (범용적 적용을 위한 콘크리트의 염화물 확산계수 예측에 관한 연구)

  • This study was performed to suggest the mediocre prediction equation of chloride diffusion coefficient which is used to estimate the service life of marine concrete, in order to provide the useful data for concrete mix design of marine concrete. As a result, the mediocre prediction equation of chloride diffusion coefficient which set W/B and mineral admixture replacement ratio as parameters was presented by performing the multivariate non linear regression analysis.

  • This is a part a study on the development of High-Performance Concrete ; about experimental results from several test methods to estimate workability in fresh concrete and influences of concrete mix design that affects properties of super-flowing concrete. Super-flowing concrete can be filled in a formwork without any vibration because of its excellent workability of passing narrow space and filling complicated shaped mold, new test methods should be used to estimate the workability and rhelogy in super-flowing concrete instead of slump test method in conventional concrete.

  • In this study, various tests are performed for the durability of the concrete using domestic recycled coarse aggregate including drying shrinkage, permeability, freezing-thawing resistance and $CO_2$ diffusivity. Tests of freezing-thawing resistance, chloride ion permeability and $CO_2$ diffusivity of recycled concrete show favorable results. But, the maximum drying shrinkage ratio to normal concrete is increased 24% with increasing substitution ratio of recycled aggregate. Therefore, for the use of recycled concrete in structures, the preventive measures of drying shrinkage is necessary in mix design and the adequate substitution ratio of recycled aggregate should be proposed.

  • Strength development of low heat portland cement(Type IV) concrete in high strength range is tested. In this study strength development according to water-binder ratio, strength development according to age, effect of fly ash and super plasticizer are tested. This study tests effect of low heat portland cement in high strength range concrete and provide guide line concrete mix design for later study and/or construction.

  • This paper persents the characteristics and properties of the five domestic and foreign-made anti-washout admixtures commercially available in Korea. These admixtures have been analysed by experiments to compare among others specifically on the following items : air content, slump-flow, hardening time, pH, filling condition, turbidity, content of chloride, compressive strength of underwater concrete and ratio of ambient / underwater concrete compressive strength. The mix design for comparison has been set according to the Japanese practicesince there is still no guideline concerning underwater concrete available domestically.

  • The purpose of this study is to achieving a sufficient fluidity without segregation for normal strength grade concrete mixture. therefore in this research, by analyzing the various superplasticizer dosages on the concrete mixture, the segregation range was analyzed to provide a proper concrete mix design with sufficient fluidity.

A Study on the Improvement of Strength in No-Fines Concrete with Stone Dust (석분을 혼입한 무세골재 콘크리트의 강도 개선에 관한 연구)

  • An experimental study was carried out to investigate the strength implovlng effect of stone dust in no fines concrete. The cement aggregate ratios of 1:6, 1:8 and 1:10 and several water-cemment ratios between 30% and 56% were chosen for the mix design of no-fines concrete. For the no-fines concrete with stone dust, the weight ratio of cement to stone dust 1:1 was adopted and super plasticizer, 1.5% of cement in weight, was used to obtain proper and workable state of concrete. The compressive and tensile strength test were performed and the results for the different mix designs were compared with each other. The results show that the compressive strength of no-fines concrete can be improved by 38% and the tensile strength by 17%~72% for the same w/c, when the same weight of stone dust as cement is mixed together.

  • Recently Korean textile industry has been in the phase that requires its strategy change from the less-develped country style of the labor-intensive products to the developed country style of the technology-intensive products. It needs to make more efforts to develop the value-added products to meet the customer's various needs. In addition, development of technology, equipment, and design is required to implement its corporate strategy successfully. Although Korean textile companies have currently kept skillful labor and advanced equipments, they are losing their share in the international textile markets. This is mainly because corporate management has not been involved with efficient strategy. Strategy is an adoption of a company to environment by its corporate members, thus leading to the requirement of coordination of the main functions such as manufacturing and marketing. In fact, the coordination of the two departments toward reaching the corporate goal is not easy since the two are interested in different areas, respectively. Manufacturing people show their interests in production capacity, equipment layout, process technology, quality, purchasing, and labor while marketing people, target customer, product mix, advertisement, product specification, and customer service. For this reason, conflicts sometimes happen between the two departments. There are, however, many area that need a horizontal cooperation, for instance, in layout, process technology, product mix, and potential demand. Therefore, reciprocal coordination is necessary for achieving the firm's common objectives. This study was concerned with determining the factors that enhance the competitiveness of textile firms so that they could reach the common goal of the two departments with a horizontal collaboration.
