Ubiquitous service environment is poor in reliability of connection and has a high probability that the intrusion and the system failure may occur. Therefore, in the environment, the capability of a system to collectively accomplish its mission in spite of active intrusions and various failure scenarios, that is, the survivability of services are needed. In this paper, we analyze the Jgroup/ARM framework that was developed in order to help the development of fault- tolerant Jini services. More importantly, we propose an intrusion-tolerant Jini service architecture to satisfy the security availability and quality of services on the basis of the analysis. The proposed architecture is able to protect a Jini system not only from faults such as network partitioning or server crash, but also from attacks exploiting flaws. It is designed to provides performance enough to show a low response latency so as to support seamless service usage. Through the experiment on a test-bed, we have confirmed that the architecture is able to provide high security and availability at the level that degraded services quality is ignorable.

The purpose of this study is to understand the history of nursing and present a new direction of nursing by elucidating the role of nurses in the process of social meaning and change of infectious diseases in modern (1876-1945) Korean society. In the past history, epidemics have caused many problems in society and have tried their best to manage them. The role and presence of the nurse began to emerge during the past time. The concept of hygiene began to be recognized for the management of epidemics, and the role and presence of nurses began to emerge at the center. It was recognized that the role of nurses in modern Korean society was an auxiliary role in the early stages. However, through specialized education and training, recognition as an expert began to spread based on specialized knowledge rather than simple care. In this study, it is significant that we have historically searched for infectious diseases causing various problems while coexisting past and present. In addition, it is significant that the new role and sense of mission of the nurses were newly illuminated.

This study was intended to verify the impact on the quality of service for employees of youth training facilities. The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for improving service quality by analyzing the factors influencing service quality of youth training facility workers. Data were collected from 110 youth training facilities in Busan. The results showed that social support, emotional labor and self-efficacy had a static effect on the quality of service. Based on the results of this study, the following suggestions were made. First, in order to enhance social support, it is necessary to strengthen regular networking with other agency workers, interview with middle managers, and counseling. Second, to raise emotional labor, it is necessary to imprint a sense of mission as a youth leader. Psychological and emotional programs should also be developed and implemented. Third, in order to increase the self-efficacy, it is necessary to strengthen the administrative super vision and strengthen related education such as image making.

This paper proposes a mobile AI (Artificial Intelligence) conducting decision-making in the game through education for intelligent character on the basis of Neural Network. Neural Network is learned through the input/output value of the algorithm which defines the game rule and the problem solving method. The learned character is able to perceive the circumstances and make proper action. In this paper, the mobile AI using Neural Network has been step-by-step designed, and a simple game has been materialized for its functional experiment. In this game, the goal, the character, and obstacles exist on regular 2D space, and the character, evading obstacles, has to move where the goal is. The mobile AI can achieve its goals in changing environment by learning the solution to several problems through the algorithm defined in each experiment. The defined algorithm and Neural Network are designed to make the input/output system the same. As the experimental results, the suggested mobile AI showed that it could perceive the circumstances to conduct action and to complete its mission. If mobile AI learns the defined algorithm even in the game of complex structure, its Neural Network will be able to show proper results even in the changing environment.

The great estate system of the Old World crossed the Atlantic Ocean in the 1500s along with the Spanish Royal Army, mission, merchants, crops and domestic arrivals, landing at the end of the journey in the Middle and South Americas. The latifundio of Spain's Middle Age combined with the environment of the New World to be regenerated in the name of hacienda which bad became tightly roared in the countryside landscape of New Spain by fin-de-colonial period of 1820s. The haciendas were distributed mainly over the central part of the present-dey Mexico, and the presence of water and towns determined the specific location of the large landed estates. Depending on the activities performed, the hacienda can be divided into several types such as grain hacienda, livestock hacienda, mining hacienda, henequen hacienda, and so forth. Consisting of landlords, estate managers and waged labor called peons, the hacienda as a semi-autarkic settlement played various roles as the home of church, the agrarian center and the hearth of cultural diffusion, as well as dwelling. Toward the end of the colonial period the hacienda experienced internal transformations driven by capitalism.

Comics are a genre that convey meaning through compositional arrangements of dialogue and images as well as through the flow of panels across a page. Communicating that meaning to readers through a combination of language and visual lexicons is the essential process of drawing comics, a process that in itself is significant. The semiotics of comics is a field of scholarship grounded in the broader discipline of semiotic theory in which all the components of comics, both visual and verbal, are the subject of study and research. By adopting a semiotic approach we are able to objectively analyze and understand the symbolic, social and ideological meanings embedded in the signs and sign processes expressed in comics. The fundamental pedagogical mission of teaching comics is to cultivate human nature through the study of theory as well as through the production and completion of original works that explore new modes of expression. To go further, interpreting those embedded meanings in the context of comics fosters effective and creative skills of expression that go beyond a mere fascination for the genre itself. In short, because the semiotic approach to understanding visual communication is the essence teaching comics, we can expect that the act of reading and creating comics plays a significant role in understanding visual communication.

Enhancing individual competitiveness as well as national competitiveness by fostering creative human resources are one of the important visions of the nation. Thus, fostering creative human resources should be important mission of the nation. The purpose of this study is to identify what type of creative human resources is possible, based on Korean culture and background. Qualitative research experts was given to six experts of academics, institutes, and industries in science, humanities, social science, and art. The result indicated that key words for fostering creative human resources in Korea are 'fusion' and 'integration', and the definition and factors of creative human resources as well as educational strategy to foster it depend upon them. How to foster creative human resources in life-long learning also discussed.

This is a proposal to probe local part of the interplanetary dust (IPD) cloud complex and retrieve mean volume emissivity of the local IPDs at mid-infrared wavelengths. This will be done by monitoring, with Infrared Camera (IRC) aboard the ASTRO-F, the annual modulation of the zodiacal emission. In pointing mode of the ASTRO-F mission the spacecraft can make attitude maneuvering over approximately ${\pm}1^{\circ}$ range centered at solar elongation $90^{\circ}$ in the ecliptic plane. The attitude maneuvering combined with high sensitivity of the IRC will provide us with a unique opportunity observationally to take derivatives of the zodiacal emission brightness with respect to the solar elongation. From the resulting differential of the brightness over the ${\pm}1^{\circ}$ range, one can directly determine the mean volume emissivity of the local IPDs with a sufficient accuracy to de-modulate the annual emissivity variations due to the Earth's elliptical motion and the dis-alignment of the maximum IPD density plane with respect to the ecliptic. The non-zero eccentricity ($e_{\oplus}$= 0.0167) of the Earth's orbit combined with the sensitive temperature dependence of the Planck function would bring modulations of amplitude at least $3.34\%$ to the zodiacal emission brightness at mid-infrared wavelengths, with which one may determine the IPD temperature T(r) and mean number density n(r) as functions of heliocentric distance r. This will in turn fix the power-law exponent $\delta$ in the relation $T(r) = T_o(r/r_o)^{-\delta}$ for the dust temperature and v in $n(r) = n_o(r/r_o)^-v$ for the density. We discuss how one may de-couple the notorious degeneracy of cross-section, density, reference temperature $T_o$ and exponent $\delta$.

The need for changes in archival studies curriculum has been steadily raised because of the wide variation of the curriculum in each graduate school. In this study, the foreign archival studies guidelines and certification standards were compared and analyzed to derive key categories and elements for developing the Korean guidelines for a graduate program in archival studies. The five key categories and elements of the guideline include introduction, mission and goal, knowledge categories, administrative factors, and conclusion. On the other hand, the 10 knowledge categories to be learned by archivists include ① The Nature of Records and Archives, ② Selection, Appraisal, and Acquisition, ③ Arrangement and Description, ④ Preservation, ⑤ Reference and Access, ⑥ Outreach, Instruction, and Advocacy, ⑦ Management and Administration, ⑧ Social and Cultural Systems, ⑨ Legal and Financial Systems, and ⑩ Information Technology. In the future, knowledge categories need to be actively reflected by the opinions of the academic community and archivists to improve the graduate curriculum.
