  • This paper argues that AGREE and Multiple AGREE are not distinct, and they are constrained by a single Minimality condition. It is argued, contra Chomsky (2001) and Hiraiwa (2000), that Multiple AGREE takes place not simultaneously but sequentially on the basis of a Minimality Condition. That makes it possible to assimilate Multiple AGREE to AGREE.

  • Let (A,G,.alpha.) be a $C^{*}$-dynamical system. In [3] the classical notions of ergodic properties of topological dynamical systems such as topological transitivity, minimality, and uniquely ergodicity are extended and analyzed in the context of non-abelian $C^{*}$-dynamical systems. We showed in [2] that if G is a compact group, then minimality, topological transitivity, uniquely ergodicity, and weakly ergodicity of the $C^{*}$-dynamical system (A,G,.alpha.) are equivalent.alent.

  • In this paper, we present a method of characterizing minimal polynomials on the ring 𝐙p of p-adic integers in terms of their coefficients for an arbitrary prime p. We first revisit and provide alternative proofs of the known minimality criteria given by Larin [11] for p = 2 and Durand and Paccaut [6] for p = 3, and then we show that for any prime p ≥ 5, the proposed method enables us to classify all possible minimal polynomials on 𝐙p in terms of their coefficients, provided that two prescribed prerequisites for minimality are satisfied.

  • There are divergent opinions about condition of triangle-determining. The purpose of this study was to compare those opinions and to identify cause of this phenomena. As a result of our study, we got to find out significant characteristics of proposition related to condition of triangle-determining. These aspects shows what cause of that phenomena is. First, that proposition is used as a theortical tool, not as a practical one. Second, that proposition presupposes that a triangle exists. Third, that proposition is connected with minimality and generality. However, our analysis is for teacher, not for student. Thus, we suggest a guiding principle as well as a guiding method in relation to teaching of that proposition.

  • S. M. Saperstone and M. Nishihama [6] had showed both continuity and stability of the orbital and limit set maps, K(x) and L(x), where K and L are considered as maps from X to $2^X$. The main purpose of this paper is to extend continuity and stability for dynamical systems to general dynamical systems.

  • In 1932, Lehmer [4] gave the definition of a ternary semigroup. We can see that any semigroup can be reduced to a ternary semigroup. In this paper, we give some auxiliary results which are also necessary for our considerations and characterize the relationship between the (0-)minimal and maximal ordered lateral ideals and the lateral simple and lateral 0-simple ordered ternary semigroups analogous to the characterizations of minimal and maximal left ideals in ordered semigroups considered by Cao and Xu [2].

  • This paper discloses a striking similarity between Korean/Japanese wh-NPs and Italian QPs: both categories are disallowed from LD-movement out of weak islands. This leads us to a substantial claim that wh-phrases in the former languages possibly belong to a non-D-linked category, parallel to the Italian QPs. This claim is also supported by semantic evidence: that is, in-situ wh-NPs in these languages lack covert partitivity (Kyungnam University)

  • In this paper, we study relationships between zero characteristic properties and minimality of orbit closures or limit sets of points. Also, we characterize the set of points of zero characteristic properties. We show that the set of points of positive zero characteristic property in a compact spaces X is the intersection of negatively invariant open subsets of X.

  • In this paper We shall give some characterizations for mX* derived from the relationships between S(m) and C(m). Also we shall discuss the minimal, maximal, strongly cyclic and minmaxCR-automata. There is an interesting part for the relationship between mX* and S(m). That is to say, that mX* is minimal has the same meaning as S(m) is strongly cyclic. We shall note that the minimality implies ‘ strongly cyclic’ and ‘strongly cyclic’ implies ‘cyclic’ and ‘cyclic’ implies ‘a MaxCR-automaton’.
