기계화사단 정비대대 능력 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Maintenance Capability for A Maintenance Battalion in the Mechanized Division)

  • In this research, our objective is to develop a model which could evaluate the maintenance capability for a maintenance battalion in the mechanized division. To analyze the maintenance system, we obtained various data related to maintenance capability and described the maintenance process as a network type. This network type model is then translated to SLAM-II network model to simulate the system. The simulation model can be operated by using appropriate input data and simulation results are obtained. The simulation model can be applied in various way. Through the simulation we could find the bottle neck point in the maintenance process. Also the maximum capability of maintenance with on hand asset and the wartime supportability can be evaluated. The mode provides sensitivity analysis by changing various imput data such as the number of repairmen, repair time, failure rate and so on.

  • 군의 전투 상황을 모의하는 전투 시뮬레이션 모델을 개발함에 있어서 현대전, 미래전의 핵심인 지휘통제분야에 대한 모의가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 교전위주의 현재 워게임 모델을 개선하기위해 군의 의사결정과정인 부대지휘절차를 지능형 에이전트를 이용하는 모의방법론을 제시하였다. 계층별 지휘본부를 대리할 수 있는 다중 에이전트의 아키텍처를 설계하고 각각 에이전트의 기본적인 구조와 모의논리를 연구하였다. 본 연구는 지능형 에이전트의 적용대상을 관으로 확대하는 방법론이 될 것이고, 기본구조를 더욱 심화 발전시키면 불확실한 전장상황을 보다 정확하게 모의할 수 있는 기초가 될 것이다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to propose a methodology that can estimate optimal requirement of attack helicopter Korea army will be operating in future. For estimating optimal requirement, attack helicopter's operation concept, performance, battlefield environment and enemy threat are considered. We use a wargame model, AAsim(Army Aviation simulation), as a analytic simulation model which is used to analyze DOTMLPF and operation in army aviation field. In this paper, we conduct battle experiment for anti armored corps operation which reflects attack helicopter's combat effectiveness very well. As a result of simulation, the destructive rate for enemy armored corps per each attack helicopter can be calculated. In this paper, we propose optimal requirement of attack helicopter using that destructive rate for enemy armored corps.

  • This paper is aimed to investigate the applicability of SMG method to the development of an object-oriented simulation software in the MODSIM II environment. SMG method is an object-oriented simulation software development method proposed by System Modeling Group(SMG), National Defense University of Korea. Through this study, we concluded that SMG method can be a powerful method for the development of object-oriented simulation software in the MODSIM II environment. However, SMG method lacks in depicting some of messages in the MODSIM II, for example, ASK method, TELL method, WAITFOR method, interrupt. In the future, SMG method is expected to extend for incorporating those things presumably by referring to Professor Baileys pictures, OOSPICs.

낙하산을 갖는 단거리 발사체의 오차분석 (A Study on the Circular Error Probability of Short-Range Rocket with Parachute)

  • This paper contains the computational simulation of a free rocket with a parachute and the development of a firing table for each range. To obtain the trajectory of the rocket, 6 DOF model of rocket with parachute was generated and the wind tunnel test was done for the input parameters. Good agreement was obtained between the analysis of trajectory and the flight test result. Also the trajectory error analysis was performed by the Monte Carlo simulation. As a result of simulation, the CEP(Circular Error Probability) of the firing table was calculated.

  • When simulating the mission flight of a fighter equipped with the avionic ECM pod, it is massively required to provide the correct information of threats, to depict the real environment of mission area, and to precisely model the capability of the ECM system. Also, in order to get the reliable results of those simulation, it should be supported the flexible changes of threat environments and the examination of multiple flight paths. This paper presents a software system which is possible to flexible and interactive ECM simulation. This system has capable of the 2D or 3D visualization of virtual battle field, the management of electronic threat data, and the simulation of engagement model.

한국형 공중 시뮬레이터 항공기 연구 (Study on Korean In-Flight Simulator Aircraft)

  • This paper presented here contains development of variable stability system(VSS) control laws for the KIFS (Korean In-Flight Simulator) aircraft to simulate the dynamics of F-16 aircraft. Development of VSS Control law for pitch rate, roll rate, yaw rate simulation for three specified flight conditions using Model Following Technique with rate feedback autopilot for stability provision. The direct lift force controller was also added to the developed VSS control law to simulate the pitch rate and normal g-load simultaneously. The simulation results show high accuracy of F-16 aircraft's pitch, roll, yaw rate and g-load simulation.

  • In this paper, we develop a detailed full dynamic model which includes various rough terrains for 6-wheel skid-steering mobile robot based on the real experimental autonomous vehicle called Dog-Horse Robot. We also design a co-simulation for performance comparison of path tracking algorithms. The control architecture in the co-simulation can be divided into two levels. The high level control is the closed-loop control of path tracking to follow a given path, and the low level is concerned about torque control of wheel motion. The simulation using the mechanical data of the Dog-Horse Robot is performed under the Matlab/Simulink environment. We also simulate and evaluate the performance of the model based adaptive controller.

한국형 미래전투체계 효과도 분석을 위한 회전익 무장체계 시뮬레이션 (A Simulation on the Weapon System of Rotorcraft for Improving the Effects of Korean Future Combat System(FCS))

  • This research is to develop a simulation framework to gauge the mission effectiveness of the rotorcraft system that will be a part of Korean future combat system. The rotorcraft system comprises of many subsystems that are very time-consuming and tedious to model. Each subsystem and its characteristics have been modeled using component-based modeling techniques, which enhances its reusability. The entire system is then constructed from the individually modeled component, which significantly reduces the modelling time. The mission effectiveness of the rotorcraft system is simulated using the developed models, and the output indicates that the methodology proposed in this study is useful, which will be suitable for the modeling and simulation of Korean future combat system.

요구성능 기반의 군용 항공기 항재밍 GPS 체계 구축 최적화 방안 연구 (A Study of Optimization Approach for GPS Anti-Jamming System's Integration on Military Aircraft Based on the Requirement of Capability)

  • Global Positioning System(hereafter; GPS) is recently an essential element in the various navigation and weapon delivery systems of military aircraft. However, GPS is vulnerable to the jamming threats since its signal power is very weak. Therefore, ROK defense has been concerning how to resolve this issue and how to integrate these systems needed, and is trying to acquire the proper anti-jamming GPS system. This study is to provide several schemes against the jamming threats effectively. We propose the several processes to analyze the required capability and demonstrate the result's of modeling and simulations(hereafter; M&S) for this integration of military aircraft, and the mathematical programming model for system optimization of military aircraft anti-jamming GPS system on the basis analysis of M&S results which could be considered available budget and the project characteristic. These schemes will be helpful on proper acquisition of these systems and. We are looking forward to contributing to the integration of anti-jamming GPS system of ROK military aircraft.
