도서지역 중.고등학생들의 건강행태 (Health Behavior of Middle and High School Students in an Island)

  • Objectives: This study was aimed to observe health behaviors of middle school and high school students in an Island. Methods: A self-administered questionnaire survey was carried out for total 414 people(middle school 285-men 160 and women 125, high school 129-men 71 and women 58) who resident in Ulleung-do Gyeoungsang-Bukdo from 1th to 30th November, 2005. results: Test main characters of smokers were men(p<0.01), high school student(p<0.01), low school-score(p<0.01), unsatisfacted school lift(p<0.05), smoking of parents(p<0.01), long attending duration of school in Ulleung-do(p<0.01) and existence of mental effect by an island life(p<0.05), the answered. The more drinkers lived together parents(p<0.05), that their habits were effected by island life rather than non-drinkers.(p<0.05). Conclusion: Among the participants, health-related problems varied in the region. To account for these problems, educational programs or counselling services may be employed.

중학교 학습부진아의 수학 기피성향 치유방안 (On the Scheme to Cure the Mathematics Disliking Disposition of Underachievers in the Middle School)

  • In this paper, we verified the effect and appropriateness of the scheme to cure the math. disliking disposition which is the cause of underachievement in learning. We choose 3 middle schools as the subject of experiment for this research. Each experiment class consists of 27∼30 students(underachievers) whose final test results of 1st school year in the middle school are 30∼60 points. In this case, we also select some middle level students whose test results are more than 60 points for the normal experimental condition. For this research, we developed the suitable test materials to cure the mathematics disliking disposition of underachievers. We applied those test materials to the experiment schools during 2.5 months and we analysed the variation of disliking disposition, the variation of math. dislike students' number and the cure rate of the math. disliking disposition. From the results of this experimental study, we find that the factors of teacher and math recognition environment have only the significant difference of math. disliking disposition between experiment class and comparison class under the 5% significance level in one middle school. We understand that this results caused by teachers' careful advice and guidance in that middle school. We also find that the number of student who dislike mathematics decreased in two middle schools. Furthermore 50% of math. disliking dispositions are cured for 9 disliking factors in the lower grade group(the group of underachievers) and as a whole, we can see that 50% of cure rate for the 7 factors of math. disliking in two middle schools. So we can understand that the experiment of our research was performed successfully in two middle schools. In this research, we find out that the scheme to cure the disliking dispositions for the factors of math. disliking depends on the factors of teacher who take charge of cure. So teachers must take interest in and must have careful concern to students and their math. disliking.

가정과 수업의 협동학습이 학업성취도와 태도에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Cooperative Learning on Student Achievement and Attitude in Home Economics)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of cooperative learning method on student achievement and attitude in Home Economics. and that what sort of effectiveness be existed between the two groups. Homogeneous & Heterogeneous one in achievement. A junior middle school in Kwangju was served for the study. Setting two groups: One is for cooperative learning and other for traditional learning. Two classes were provided with cooperative learning method. while one class with traditional learning method. Two hours of a week were devoted for the experiment. and it was also planned to be lasted six weeks from the third of June. 1998. until the 13th of July. 1998. The results are as follows: 1) Student achievement from cooperative learning method showed a little higher than those from traditional learning method. 2) Cooperative learning method was more effective than traditional learning method. mental attitude toward school. lessons and teachers were more higher than those the traditional learning method. 3) The group of Heterogeneous members was higher than the group of Homogeneous members in their student achievement. 4) It is noticeable that two groups under cooperative learning method. however showed some difference when each of them is placed in different organization. The group of Heterogeneous members was more affirmative attitude toward school. lessons and teachers than the one Homogeneous members.

배경변인에 따른 학생의 SW교육에 대한 인식 차이 분석 (Analysis on the Difference of Student's Thinking for SW Education according to Background Variable)

  • 본 논문에서는 2016년도에 68개 SW교육 연구학교 학생들을 대상으로 조사된 SW교육에 대한 인식을 학교급, SW교육 기간, 인터넷 사용 시간 등의 배경요인별로 차이를 살펴보고 학생들의 SW교육에 대한 인식과 배경요인 간에 어떤 관련이 있는지를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 학교급이 낮을수록, SW교육 기간이 길수록, 가정에서의 인터넷 사용 시간이 1시간~2시간 정도로 적당할수록 SW교육에 대한 인식이 긍정적인 것으로 판단되었다. 그러나 SW교육 기간과 인터넷 사용 시간이 학생들의 SW교육에 대한 인식에 유의미한 영향을 미치지는 않는 것으로 판단되었다. 이와 같은 분석 결과에 따라 중학교에서 학생들의 흥미를 유발할 수 있는 교수학습 방법, 장기간의 SW교육에서 학생들의 흥미를 유지할 수 있는 효과적인 교수학습 방안, 가정에서 적당하게 인터넷을 사용할 수 있도록 학생들을 지도하고 학부모를 계도하는 방안 등의 필요성을 제안하였다.

Bridging the Gap between Grammar and Conversation in Korean College English Conversation Classes

  • College students frequently feel their grammar knowledge from primary and middle school is not useful when they are asked to speak in college conversation classes. Because of their frustration at their lack of communicational ability as well as inappropriate teaching methods and class textbooks that have little to do with the student's major course of study, the student often has a low motivation to study. It is not uncommon for students to seek English education outside of their college classrooms by going to language institutes or studying abroad. College teachers need to find a way to use the student's background in grammar from primary and secondary schools. Despite the student's sentiment about his/her grammar education, grammar is an essential key to successful English conversation. Some ways that teachers can close the gap between primary and secondary school grammar education and college conversation classes are: to use a theme-based methodology, cue cards, and modeling. Activities such as Grammar Clinic, Grammar Police, and Show and Tell can be effective ways to bridge this gap. Teachers can use these activities and methods to correct such student errors as: incorrect word order, missing or unnecessary be verbs, confusion between be and do verbs, subject-verb agreement. and incorrect tense.

Computational Thinking of Middle School Students in Korea

  • 본 연구에서는 중학생의 컴퓨팅 사고력을 측정하기 위한 검사 도구를 개발하고, 개발한 검사도구를 활용하여 중학생의 컴퓨팅 사고력을 조사하였다. 검사 도구는 Korkmaz, Çakir, & Özden(2017)의 computational thinking scales를 탐색적 요인 분석을 실시하여 한국의 중학생에게 적합한 요인과 문항을 도출하였다. 개발한 검사 도구를 492명의 중학생에게 적용하여 성별, 학년, 프로그래밍 관련 경험, 경험한 프로그래밍 언어의 종류, 관심 정도에 따른 컴퓨팅 사고력의 차이를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 한국의 중학생은 여성보다 남성의 컴퓨팅 사고력이 높았으며, 프로그래밍 관련 경험이 있거나 텍스트 기반 프로그래밍 언어를 경험하였을 때 컴퓨팅 사고력이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 학년에 따라 중학생의 컴퓨팅 사고력은 유의한 차이가 없으며, 인공지능에 대한 관심만 중학생의 컴퓨팅 사고력에 유의한 영향을 주었다.

학교체육복의 개발 방향에 관한 연구 - 부산지역 초, 중, 고등학생들을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Development Direction of Physical Education (PE) Uniforms - Target for Elementary, Middle and High School Students in Busan -)

  • This study conducted a survey and investigated students' opinions and design preferences to physical education (PE) uniforms for elementary, middle and high school students using PE uniforms for the following purposes: to increase satisfaction with PE uniforms; present basic data for the development of PE uniforms helping to improve the quality of school life; and propose the development direction of PE uniforms. PE uniforms shall be developed with the components of uniforms, symbolism, functionality and aesthetics. The symbolism of PE uniforms expresses the affiliations of people wearing them and makes them have a sense of affiliation. The functionality presents convenience in students' physical activities and intramural/extracurricular activities. The aesthetics reflects the aesthetically sophisticated sport wear trend in PE uniforms. The development direction of PE uniforms was organized based on the result of analyzing and investigating students' opinions and design preferences to PE uniforms. There were differences in students' opinions and preferences to PE uniforms according to the type of student groups (elementary, middle and high school). In addition, there were clear gender-differences in the same student group. An effort might be required to reflect students' preferences because PE uniforms which students had currently worn at school had been manufactured without the reflection of students' opinions.

중.고등학교 운동선수가 인지하는 스트레스, 우울, 사회적 지지가 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향 (Effect of stress, depression, and social support on school life adjustment of athletes in the middle and high school students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze factors affecting school life adjustment of athletes in middle and high school. Methods: The data in this study came from the survey which conducted to 500 students of physical education high school athletes and elite athletes in general school from the beginning of December 2009 to the end of January 2010 in Seoul and Kyunggi. Finally 436 cases was used. The dependant variable in this study was school life adjustment. And the independent variables were socio-demographic factors, stress and depression factors, social support factors. The analysis methods were T-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, stepwise multiple regression analysis by using SPSS Ver. 12.0. Results: First, there was a statistically significant result between school life adaptation and sex, family circumstances, life satisfaction variables Second, there was a negative correlation between social support and stress, depression. Third, there was a negative correlation between school life adjustment and some stress factors, all depression factors. Also relationship between school life adjustment and social support showed a positive correlation. Fourth, Taking a look at the impact on school life adjustment, family factors and practical environmental factors in the stress factors and the feeling of worthlessness in the depression factors appeared to influence negatively. Also teachers' support in the social support factors showed positive effects. Explanatory power of the final regression model was 25.6%. Conclusions: The first step in order to improve the school life adjustment of athletes in middle and high school is the teachers' support. Athletes in middle and high school can have capability, responsibility, initiatives through teachers' attention and affection. The effective prevention education and health education programs on stress and depression should be introduced and carried out in the health education programs actively for student athletes to be free from stress, depression.

중학교 학생의 과학 학습 방법 및 전략에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Preferred Methods and Strategies of Science Learning in Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구에서는 중학생들의 과학 교재를 이용한 학습 방법 및 전략을 조사${\cdot}$분석하였다. 검사도구로 Preferred Method of Study(PMOS)를 사용하였고, 임상 면담법을 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과를 요약하면, 학생들이 교과서 새 단원을 통독하는 횟수와 과학 점수간에는 유의미하고 긍정적인 상관관계가 있었으며, 주제의 유형보다는 시험의 유형에 따라 학습 방법 및 전략을 더 쉽게 바꾸는 경향이 있었다. 대부분의 학생들은 교과서를 학습할 때 좀처럼 요약, 도표, 그림 등과 같은 조직적인 도구를 활용하지 않았고, 한 가지의 학습 방법 및 전략을 선호${\cdot}$사용하였다. 또한 극소수의 학생(1%)만이 선행지식을 교과서 안의 새로운 개념과 연결시키려고 의식적인 노력을 기울였다. 그리고 학생들이 과학 교과를 공부할 때 우선적으로 활용하는 자료로 교과서를 선택하지만 직접적인 학습에 있어서는 참고서와 문제집을 신뢰${\cdot}$이용하는 것으로 조사되었다. 그러므로 학습재로서의 교과서 개발과 효과적인 과학 교육을 위하여, 학습자의 학습 방법 및 전략과 인지심리학, 동기심리학 등의 다양한 영역에 대한 구체적이고 직접적인 연구가 선행되어야 하며, 학생들의 인지 수준의 이해를 통한 교수와 더불어 학생들의 학습 양태(learning style), 학습 방법 및 전략(learning method and strategy)을 파악하여 능동적인 의미구성의 장으로서 교과서의 역활을 극대화시켜야 한다. 그리고 교과서 집필의 기초 자료로서 학생들의 교과서 활용 방안에 대한 다양한 관점의 연구 분석이 요구된다.

중학생의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Suicidal Ideation in Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구는 중학생의 자살생각에 미치는 영향요인을 파악하기 위하여 시도되었다. 자료는 D광역시의 중학생 673명을 대상으로 설문조사하여 수집하였다. 연구도구는 일상생활 스트레스, 삶의 문제, 사회적지지, 우울 및 자살생각 척도를 이용하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS/WIN 19.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 평균과 표준편차, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, multiple regression analysis로 하였다. 대상자의 자살생각은 5점 만점에 1.22점으로 나타났다. 대상자의 종교, 학업성적, 가족형태, 학교폭력 경험 유무, 경제상태에서 유의한 자살생각 차이가 있었다. 대상자의 자살생각은 일상생활 스트레스, 삶의 문제 및 우울과 정적, 사회적지지와는 부적 상관관계가 있었다. 중학생의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 요인은 삶의 문제, 우울, 사회적지지, 일상생활 스트레스, 학교폭력 경험으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 이러한 결과에 기초하여 중학생의 자살생각을 예방하기 위해 삶의 문제, 우울, 일상생활 스트레스 및 학교폭력을 감소시키고 사회적지지를 증진하는 중재 프로그램을 고안할 필요가 있다고 본다.
