아동학대 및 학교에서의 폭력경험과 아동의 적응 (Child abuse, violences in school and childrens adjustment)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the influences of child abuse, teachers violence, and peer victimization on childrens adjustment. The 451 subjects(238 boys and 213 girls) were selected from the 5th graders of elementary schools and 2nd graders of middle schools in Pohang City. The subjects reported child abuse, teachers violence, victimization by peers, self-esteem, depression, and anxiety. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, Cronbach $\alpha$, t-test, and multiple regression. The main findings of this study were as follows: (1) Boys were more focused on physical.emotional abuse, physical.verbal victimization, and physical violence by teacher than girls. (2) Elementary school students were more focused on violence by teacher and peers than middle school students. (3) Influences of child abuse, teachers violence, and peer victimization on childrens self-esteem, depression, and anxiety had difference among subtypes of child abuse, teachers violence, and peer victimization.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate Seoul teacher's satisfaction with and needs for health examination and health promotion programs. Methods: The participants were 3,186 teachers in Seoul. Data were collected through an on-line survey system from November 16 to December 7, 2008. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Scheffe's test using PASW 18.0 program. Results: Teacher's satisfaction with teacher health examination was low and needs for detailed tests of cancer and vocal cord disorders were high. Teacher's satisfaction with teacher health promotion programs was low and needs for stress management, exercise and vocal cord protection program were high. Conclusion: Vocal cord disorders should be included in teacher health examination and vocal cord protection program should be provided for teacher's health promotion. Stress management and exercise program should also be provided for teacher's health promotion.

중학생의 학교적응 관련요인의 인과적 구조분석 (Causal Relationships between School Adjustment of Middle School Students and Related Variables)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the causal relationship of familial factors (parental acceptance, autonomy, and family satisfaction), social support (teacher's support and friend's support), school achievement, self-concept, and school adjustment. Based on preceding research, this study established a path model of school adjustment and its related variables. Methods: Two thousand six hundred and twenty nine middle school students participated in this study. Data were collected by a visit-survey with an organized questionnaire and was analyzed by the SPSS and AMOS programs. Results: Self-concept showed a significantly direct influence to school adjustment while both family satisfaction and school achievement directly and indirectly influenced school adjustment. Parental acceptance, autonomy, and social support indirectly influenced school adjustment. Conclusion: These results imply that first, family satisfaction, and self-concept are essential to solve the problems of school adjustment. Especially friend's support, teacher's support and school achievement should help improve the self-concept and school adjustment. Second, a variety of programs are available for schools to employ in an effort to provide interventions for students who demonstrate school maladjustment. Finally, it is necessary for family, school and society members to comprehensively cooperate to improve school adjustment.

학부모의 자녀교육노력이 학교 신뢰와 지역교육만족을 매개로 교사 신뢰에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Parents' Educational Effort on Teacher Confidence Mediated by School Trust and Local Education Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 서울지역 초, 중학교에 재학 중인 자녀를 둔 학부모를 대상으로 학부모의 자녀교육노력이 교사신뢰에 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보았고, 학부모의 자녀교육노력이 교사신뢰에 미치는 영향에서 학부모의 학교신뢰와 지역교육만족의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 통해 얻은 주요 연구결과는 첫째, 학부모의 자녀교육노력은 교사신뢰에 정적(+)인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학부모의 자녀교육노력과 교사신뢰 관계에서 학교신뢰의 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 학부모의 자녀교육노력이 교사신뢰에 직접적인 영향을 미치기도 하지만 학교신뢰를 통해서 간접적으로 교사신뢰에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 의미한다. 마지막으로 학부모의 자녀교육노력과 교사신뢰 관계에서 지역교육만족의 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 학부모의 자녀교육노력이 교사신뢰에 직접적인 영향을 미치기도 하지만 지역교육만족을 통해서 간접적으로 교사신뢰에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 의미한다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 교육적, 복지적 측면에서의 함의에 대해 논의하였다.

사서교사 이미지가 학교도서관 이용자 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effects of Teacher Librarians' Images on the User Satisfaction of School Libraries)

  • 본 연구는 이용자들이 사서교사에 대해 어떠한 이미지를 가지고 있는지 알아보고 그 이미지에 따라 학교도서관 이용자만족도를 알아봄으로서 학교도서관 활성화방안을 제시하였다. 조사방법은 서울, 경기지역 10개의 중, 고등학생을 대상으로 설문과 심층면담을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 사서교사의 이미지유형은 전문성있는 이미지와 적극적인 이미지, 단순한 업무이미지로 분류되었고 전문성있는 이미지와 적극적인 이미지는 학교도서관이용자만족에 정(+)의 상관관계를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났고 단순한 업무이미지는 부(-)의 상관관계를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 사서교사와 이미지와 학교도서관 만족도는 학교도서관 재이용의사와 추천의도에서도 유의한 영향을 보여주었다. 사서교사이미지와 학교도서관 이용자만족을 높이기 위해서는 사서교사의 적극적인 태도와 전문성을 신장하려는 노력이 필요하고 이용빈도가 낮을수록 사서교사의 이미지를 단순한 업무이미지로 보고 있으므로 이용빈도를 높이기위한 다양한 독서교육이 필요하다. 본 연구는 사서교사이미지가 학교도서관 이용자만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미침을 파악하고 학교도서관 활성화를 위한 개선방안을 제안했다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.

중학교 교사의 의사결정 참여수준과 조직효과성과의 관계 (The Relationship between Teachers' Participation Levels in the Decision Making Process and the Organizational Effectiveness of Middle Schools)

  • This study aims to examine the relationship between teachers' parcitipation levels in the decision making process and the organizational effectiveness in the middle schools. To achieve this objectives, 559 teachers of 18 middle schools in Busan were involved through a questionaire. The results are as follows: First, teachers consider their participation in decision-making to be low. Second, teachers view the effectiveness of school systems higher than average. Third, the correlation between teachers' participation and the system effectiveness (including job satisfaction, organization adaptability and job achievement) was positively high. When teachers' participation levels were divided into 3 groups - low, middle, and high-, the system effectiveness appeared highest with the high- level participation group. These results suggest the need for teacher participation in decision making to enhance the effectiveness of school systems.

  • The aim of this study is to identify needed consumer education changes through the analysis of the consumer education in elementary schools. The findings of this study are:1. The current situation of elementary school consumer education was examined through analysis of the curricula of elementary schools. 2. Teacher attitudes and perceptions toward elementary school consumer education were also examined. Although the elementary school teachers clearly understood the importance of consumer education, the problem is that a training workshop or program has not been provided for them. This deficiency needs to be addressed quickly. 3. The third part of the study consisted of an analysis of the curriculum of the 11 Teacher’s Colleges in Korea. This partof study revealed that consumer education was not systematically addressed at Teacher’s Colleges. This finding suggests that it is important to have an included with other opening lecture on consumer education, cultural subject. The content of the consumer education must be positively emphasized and applied systematically.

A Comparative Study of Secondary Chemistry Education in Korea and China

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze secondary school chemistry education in Korea and China in order to identify implications for the improvement of Korean chemistry education. The school systems, curricula, and teacher education related to secondary chemistry education of both countries were compared and analyzed. The 6-3-3-4 school system is used in both countries, and national school curricula are formulated by the Ministries of Education in both countries. The 1996 chemistry curricular standard for advanced middle schools in China, and 1997 chemistry curriculum for Korean high schools were compared in several aspects, followed by comparisons of chemistry teacher education in both countries. Based on the comparative analysis of chemistry education, some ideas and issues which provide implications for improving Korean high school chemistry education were identified. Chemistry teaching in the junior secondary schools, tentative implementation of curricula, required course work in chemistry, structure of curricula, oral assessments, probation of teachers and other issues are identified and discussed in this study.

예비 보건교사의 교직선택 동기, 교사효능감, 교직수업 만족도 연구: 교직선택 동기 그룹별 비교를 중심으로 (Comparison of Motivation of Choosing a Teaching Profession, Teacher Efficacy, and Satisfaction of Teaching Class by Motivation of Choosing a Teaching Profession Group among Pre-Health Education Teachers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the motivation of choosing a teaching profession, teacher efficacy, and satisfaction of teaching class of pre-health education teachers and compare the teacher efficacy, and satisfaction of teaching class by motivation of choosing a teaching profession group. Methods: The participants were 54 pre-health education teachers studying the teaching curriculum in 1 college located in S city. The collected data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, cluster analysis, ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis using SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Results: The average motivation of choosing a teaching profession, teacher efficacy, satisfaction of teaching class were above medium. After cluster analysis, 3 distinct groups emerged: motivation of choosing a teaching profession high group, motivation of choosing a teaching profession middle group, motivation of choosing a teaching profession low group. And the results showed significant differences in teacher efficacy, satisfaction of teaching class according to motivation of choosing a teaching profession group. Conclusion: The findings indicate that motivation of choosing a teaching profession affect the teacher efficacy, satisfaction of teaching class. Therefore It is necessary to identify the variables that influence motivation of choosing a teaching profession.

학생들이 인식한 교사의 특성이 수학 학업성취도에 미치는 영향에 대한 종단연구: 중·고등학교 학생을 대상으로 (A Longitudinal Study on the Effect of Teacher Characteristics Perceived by Students on Mathematics Academic Achievement: Targeting Middle and High School Students)

  • 수학 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 교사의 특성은 끊임없이 변화하면서 수학 학업성취도에 영향을 미치고 있기 때문에 성장을 예측·분석할 수 있는 종단연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 서울교육종단연구(SELS)의 중학교 1학년(2013년)부터 고등학교 2학년(2017년)까지의 중·고등학교 학생자료를 사용하여 수학 학업성취도의 종단적 변화양상이 유사한 하위 그룹으로 분류하여 학생들이 인식한 교사의 특성(전문성, 기대감, 학업적 피드백)이 수학 학업성취의 종단적인 변화양상에 미치는 직접적인 영향과 영향력을 살펴보았다. 연구결과 수학 학업성취도가 상위인 1그룹(343명, 14.5%) 수학교사의 특성(전문성과, 기대감, 학업적 피드백)은 수학 학업성취도의 종단적인 변화에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 중위의 3그룹(745명, 32.2%)은 수학교사의 학업적 피드백, 하위 53%의 2그룹(1225명)은 수학교사의 기대감이 수학 학업성취도의 종단적인 변화에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 학생들의 특성과 성향에 따라서도 교사의 전문성과, 기대감, 학업적 피드백이 수학 학업성취도의 종단적인 변화에 미치는 직접적인 영향이 다르므로 교수·학습의 지원도 이러한 점을 반영해야함을 시사해준다.
